Golf bros are the most cringy, douchiest human beings on the planet, so that part at least checks out. Announcing to anyone who will listen that you don't watch basketball anymore is also a very real thing. The rest is suspect.

I don’t follow WWE specifically (and really never have). But I am a fan of local indie wrestling. My sense is the fanbase has evolved since kayfabe died.

It used to be that wrestling shows were chock full of yokels who thought it was real. There were a few smart fans who were in on the gag (so-called “smarks” in wrestling lingo) and there to enjoy the show with tongue firmly in cheek. But they weren’t the majority.

These days, the crowd is all smarks. Everyone knows it’s fake. The secret is out. So the fans who are looking for real combat now go to shit like UFC, which skews right.

In my experience, modern wrestling crowds are pretty diverse and open-minded. The promotion in Austin hosts drag shows every so often and openly supports the LGBTQ community. (Okay, it’s Austin. But still…) People don’t go to wrestling for fights; they go to watch performance art.

AEW is downright woke compared to WWE. Their current champion, iirc, is a huge proponent of unions and workers rights and isn't afraid to talk about it. Their queer wrestlers are openly queer (seriously, their women's division is dyke heaven full of dykes) and they do pride stuff every year (dunno about this year tbh--I don't pay super close attention because they do too many flips to keep my interest for long most of the time).

Reading between the lines, Rudy was cruising for streetwalkers last night, stopped a couple of times to speak with them, found one he liked, tried to lowball her and then her pimp beat the fuck out of him.

Clearly it's time for Trump to send the National Guard, ICE and all of DHS to New Hampshire.

I'm sorry, Rudy was driving down the street and a woman flagged him down? And then later that evening a car hit him from behind, so hard that it caused that list of injuries? Man, the real story of what happened is going to be absolutely hilarious.

This has troubled me for quite some time.  It's worse at the college level because it seems to pit academics directly against athletics, but may be more exaggerated at the pro sports level because shit's so expensive.

If you asked me what I’m most proud of about Ohio State it’s the Stephanie Spielman cancer research center.

I was in LA the week that shit unfolded. The idea that the city was in any way at risk is laughable. We explored Southern California, from La Jolla to Leo Carrillo and... up to... Pismo, and literally the only protest we witnessed was a few old ladies peacefully holding anti-ICE signs outside of a Ralph’s in Venice.

That protest encompassed about four square city blocks.  Was it out of control at times?  Yes.  But to say it threatened the city is a blatant lie.

If Los Angeles was actually in danger, he would let it burn because they would serve him best.

Like he did on 1/6 with the Capitol.

If you are Rudy’s security guy, why do you include the first paragraph?  It has zero to do with the “auto accident” that left him injured.  It just adds to the ridiculousness.

Because it’s somehow nefariously relevant to the rest of the story and they are trying to get ahead of that information and falsely shape the narrative.

But the claim is that he left her with the cops, then drove away and got hit.

is there a time/place issue that will be brought up in the accident report?

It’s pretty nice that we India and China united against us. There has to be a prize for that.

well, the good news is there aren't that many Indians and Chinese

So the scuttlebutt is Fat Boy is at Walter Reed, and I wouldn’t be surprised

I'd prefer he be at Arlington National.

That turd has no business being buriee there (yes, I know he's entitled to do so.)  But his family can't charge admission to Arlington to see (or spit on his grave.)

Not only will they get it, Trump will insist on handing over a check, while Bondi, Patel, Miller, etc all look on with glowing approval.

and chucklefucks will see this as proof that J6 was a witch hunt instead of just a way to hand taxpayer money to allies.
