^seems like these billion dollar companies might have incentive to fund desalination if the community they’re drawing from is running out of water? Also, Saudis? Didn’t Arizona kick them and their alfalfa out for sucking down local water supplies?

We had some pretty heavy stuff blow through here about an hour ago. Still getting some moderate showers with rolling thunder that's shaking the house.

I've got the windows open and it's a glorious 64°. Be patient, y'all. It's coming.

I should also mention that it got up to 88° today (and really humid for West Texas), so this is a pretty strong front.

Hoping all you get something good out this.

Austin area school districts are moving up football kickoff times and/or outright canceling events.

So you know that absolutely nothing will happen.

Last night's storms and lightning was epic.

You're not kidding. It was a fantastic light show that lasted for hours. Remind me, are you in Runnels or Coleman County?

I hate those motherfuckers.

Who the hell complains about curbside? And why? That app is the best way to get your order both correct and on time, not to mention the rewards.

He's talking about making some poor schlub bring your stuff to your car in the rain vs. getting out and getting it yourself

Usually the olds who don't trust using the app and are mad that they have to spend an hour in the store wading through fat people.

Question: is it best to back-in park while using HEB curbside?

Sometimes.  Whenever I'm picking up in the Testarossa, I do back in.  With the Maybach, never.

LTYA cancelled all the soccer games for tomorrow, we're not getting a drop now.

You got your soccer or baseball games cancelled? LTYA is hosting a bunch of Academy teams at Field of Dreams tomorrow.  Those games still haven't been cancelled yet.

Disagree that nothing will happen, bet there are a lot of football moms panick buying water and toilet paper, cause lord knows when a storm is coming water is what you need most.

I have no issue with the concept, but the current implementation by HEB means the aisles are always clogged with teenagers fetching shit in those big rolling stands, and they have the situational awareness of .....well, teenagers.

Depends on the storm good Sir. After a hurricane you sure as hell need water.

Well, next time a hurricane hits Austin I hope the folks living there are well supplied.

You earn points with your Whataburger orders, which you then can use to get free food. The app also offers coupons for special deals, like buy-one-get-one-free. When I moved out to West Texas, I learned through the app that green chilis are a standard add-on out here, like jalepenos everywhere else. Not sure how I would’ve learned that without it.

Mostly this, though.

Back on topic, another line of storms just blew through here.

I've seen this complaint time and time again on here but the handful of times I've had to go into HEB for whatever reason I've maybe only ever seen one of these people and they weren't taking up any more space than the old ladies who park their carts in the middle of the aisle.
