A former Afghan National Army soldier in the process of applying for asylum in the U.S. was arrested last month by federal immigration agents at his Houston-area home, according to his attorney, who said the man and most of his family are being threatened with deportation.

"He has eight kids. Two of those kids were born in the U.S. during the last four years," said immigration attorney Ali Zakaria, who declined to provide his client's name, citing safety concerns. "He was brought to the U.S. by the U.S. armed forces in 2021 when (the) Taliban took over Afghanistan. He had previously been employed as part of what’s called Kandahar Strike Force, which I believe is a part of the Afghan armed forces. And his job was to basically guard a base where Americans and Afghan soldiers worked."

Zakaria said his client's application for asylum should have protected him, but added that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents disregarded it.

"He does not have a criminal record. He has not been charged with any crimes, and he has never been arrested in the U.S. before," Zakaria said. "He was just seized and taken away. He tried to explain that he had proper parole status when he entered the U.S. and that that parole is still valid ’til the end of the year, or almost to the end of the year, but the ICE officer said, ‘We have canceled everything, and you’re out of status.' And the charging document that has been filed with the court simply says that he’s in the United States without any status."

This is infuriating, but not surprising.  We don't take care of our vets, so we will definitely fuck over our allies' vets, even those to whom we owe a great debt.  If I was a citizen of any other nation on the planet, I would never ever trust the US to keep its commitments on anything.

Well it's not like this guy had to leave Afghanistan in 2021 because the current guy trying to deport him picked an arbitrary withdrawal date (after his first term would end) and left a shit sandwich for his successor.

The government agencies involved in the Hays County raid have not shared any evidence backing up their claims that they busted a gang party, as is the case in many other immigration operations across the country. A copy of the search warrant has little information about what authorities knew before the raid, and a district court judge sealed an accompanying document that includes details about the officer’s request for the warrant.

Just absolute idiocy. Fuck you if you voted for this shit.

From Reddit: Supposedly some other people were running from cops and pushed her to the ground. She asked an officer chasing for help and was then mistaken for one of the people running away and detained. She was then held without notifying her husband who was traveling with them, but not with them at the time, for six hours until she was released at 11pm. I can only assume it was six hours of trying to figure out what they could charge her with so they wouldn’t have to admit they fucked up.

"Chilean's just another word for messican.  She had it coming, she shouldn't be here."

This applies to anyone with a dirty messican name who has the temerity to be in OUR country.  Tourist, green card, student, citizen - they should go be all messican somewhere else.

Cruelty AND a deportation

https://people.com/defendant-faked-trump-assassination-letter-get-witness-deported-11748015

Quote

A Wisconsin defendant faked assassination threats against President Donald Trump in order to get the star witness in his criminal trial deported, prosecutors claim.

Demetric Deshawn Scott was charged with identity theft, bail jumping and felony intimidation of a witness in a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Monday, June 2, and obtained by The Washington Post.

Scott, 52, is accused of writing several letters to U.S. officials under someone else's name that threatened the lives of Trump and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, saying things like, “I think it is time Donald J. Trump get what he has coming to him.”

One letter allegedly reads, "I will self deport myself back to Mexico but not before I use my 30 yard 6 to shoot your precious president in his head. I will see him at one of his big ralleys."

Another allegedly reads, “My family is with the Mexican Mafia how would you like it if we use a bomb to blow up the white house while your precious president is still inside... Somone [sic] need to blow this entire country up like 911 in New York. Can’t you white understand we are tired of running its time to kill ICE Agents or be killed.”

Fake Donald Trump Assassination Letter
One of the allegedly fake threats sent to government officials.
Department of Homeland Security
In the complaint against Scott, prosecutors allege that he wrote the letters in order to impersonate and frame Ramón Morales Reyes, 54, who is set to testify against him in a case of armed robbery and aggravated battery in July.

Scott’s plan, the complaint alleges — citing multiple calls made from the Milwaukee County Jail using Scott’s inmate ID number — was to get Reyes deported before he could testify against him by getting the Trump administration's attention.

“This dude is a goddamn illegal immigrant and they just need to pick his ass up,” Scott allegedly said, according to one call transcript. “I’m dead serious, ‘cause I got jury trial on July 15. I got final pretrial on June 16, so if he is apprehended by the 16th, we can go into court and say, ‘Hey, he’s in custody now. There is no reason for us to even continue the July 15 jury date.’ And the judge will agree cause if he gets picked up by ICE, there won’t be a jury trial so they will probably dismiss it that day. That’s my plan.”

...

The mailed assassination threats succeeded in catching the attention of the Trump administration, which has reportedly given ICE orders to arrest 3,000 immigrants each day.

Morales Reyes was apprehended by ICE officials on May 22, and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem described him at the time as an “illegal alien who threatened to assassinate President Trump.”

However, the complaint explains that Milwaukee investigators quickly realized Morales Reyes does not read, write or fluently speak English. They also tested his handwriting against the threatening letters and found it to be “completely different.”

According to the complaint, Scott was then interviewed by a police detective on May 30, in which he allegedly confessed to writing the letters and said his goal was “freedom.” Authorities also searched his jail cell and allegedly discovered the blue pen used to write the letters as well as contact information for the Wisconsin Attorney General’s Office and the Milwaukee ICE office, both recipients of the forged threats.

Despite Scott’s alleged confession, Morales Reyes remained in ICE custody and is expected to appear before an immigration judge on June 4.

In an email to The Associated Press, Morales Reyes’ attorney, Cain Oulahan, said he is exploring all legal avenues to get his client released.

“While he has a U visa pending, those are unfortunately backlogged for years, so we will be looking at other options to keep him here with his family, which includes his three U.S. citizen children,” Oulahan wrote.

TLDR: Chuds are successfully using ICE to deport inconvent immigrants. Just lie about a crime they didn't do, and bingo bango ICE jumps into action

Let’s dispel the notion that ICE isn’t entering elementary schools.

On June 6, LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho said he was “dismayed” by the recent immigration activity occurring near schools; in April, Homeland Security agents tried to enter two LAUSD elementary schools but were denied entry by school administrators who were following district protocol.

(2) Not resulting in the deportation of "the criminals" who are now applying for those jobs.

That's... something.

Well, see, you know how cops will beat the everloving fuck out of you if you are an unarmed protester, but 200 cops will stand idly by while children get slaughtered if you are armed?

It's the same thing.  Going after actual criminals?  Scary and hard.  Nabbing a dude in the middle of picking lettuce?  That's REAL police work.

Remember that fascists are cowards and fascism is a regime based on cowardice, and it all becomes clear.

ICE is now arresting people for asking to see a warrant. NYC City Comptroller was arrested by ICE for walking an immigrant home from court. Of course the secret police were wearing facemasks and covering their badge numbers. For all we know, this elected official was just disappeared by random street goons.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/jun/17/brad-lander-arrested-new-york-city-comptroller

Additional footage of the arrest shows Lander telling immigration officials: “I’m not obstructing. I’m standing right here in the hallway. I asked to see the judicial warrant.

“You don‘t have the authority to arrest US citizens asking for a judicial warrant,” Lander can be heard saying.

The officials, two of which were wearing masks, then pinned Lander to a wall and put him in handcuffs. It remains unclear why he was arrested.

Avila was detained May 7 at San Francisco International Airport after returning from Japan. The 66-year-old has been a legal permanent resident since 1967, when he immigrated to the United States from Mexico. He was returning from the trip with his wife, who had not been detained.

According to a GoFundMe page, his wife, four children and six grandchildren are all U.S. citizens, including his son, who serves in the U.S. Air Force.

A longtime resident of San Diego, Avila has worked as a legal assistant at the workers' compensation law firm Kiwan & Chambers APC for over a decade. Colleagues from the firm organized the fundraiser.

Newsweek reached out to Avila's employer, Kiwan & Chambers APC, for comment via email on Wednesday.

Avila's daughter, Carina Mejia, told local outlet ABC 10 News that her father was pulled over in 2009 and arrested for a DUI and drug possession misdemeanor. He served his time and paid the fines for the misdemeanors. She said he has been able to renew his green card two times since that arrest.

In a Tuesday update, the organizers noted that Avila has been transferred to an ICE detention center outside of Bakersfield, California.

Why would he need to? You have plenty of ex-pats living in foreign countries as perm residents that aren't citizens. It isn't really that unusual.

Because unless you lived under a rock from 2015-2021 and again in 2023-24, you knew you were going to be severely targeted by the incoming administration?

Other countries aren’t targeted tax paying permanent residents like the U.S. Gestapo

I mean I get it, but that is a slight different question. Until 2016, there wasn't any reason for the guy to consider it. He had 40 years of it not mattering.

US citizen speaks out after being detained by ICE in Hollywood

LOS ANGELES - A US citizen, who said he was among 30 people who were detained by federal agents during a raid in Hollywood, is speaking out.

37-year-old Job Garcia told FOX 11's Susan Hirasunsa that he was making a delivery to The Home Depot when he saw vehicles pull in and block the exits to prevent people from driving away. That's when he started recording on his phone as he witnessed the tactics agents used to detain day laborers.

Eventually. Garcia found himself in ICE custody.

Oooh heres some good crimes against humanity! Withholding water in the sweltering Texas summer. A classic recently codified into law!

One mother was told she would have to use tap water for formula for her 9-month-old, who had diarrhea for three days after, and a 16-year-old girl described people scrambling over each other for water.

“We don’t get enough water. They put out a little case of water, and everyone has to run for it,” said the declaration from the girl held with her mother and two younger siblings at the Karnes County Immigration Processing Center. “An adult here even pushed my little sister out of the way to get to the water first.”

Here's some top-shelf cruelty. Unfortunately, it sounds like this poor guy voted for it to happen to himself.

ICE detains Marine Corps veteran's wife who was still breastfeeding their baby

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Marine Corps veteran Adrian Clouatre doesn't know how to tell his children where their mother went after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers detained her last month.

When his nearly 2-year-old son Noah asks for his mother before bed, Clouatre just tells him, “Mama will be back soon.” When his 3-month-old, breastfeeding daughter Lyn is hungry, he gives her a bottle of baby formula instead. He’s worried how his newborn will bond with her mother absent skin-to-skin contact.

His wife, Paola, is one of tens of thousands of people in custody and facing deportation as the Trump administration pushes for immigration officers to arrest 3,000 people a day.

Even as Marine Corps recruiters promote enlistment as protection for families lacking legal status, directives for strict immigrant enforcement have cast away practices of deference previously afforded to military families, immigration law experts say. The federal agency tasked with helping military family members gain legal status now refers them for deportation, government memos show.

To visit his wife, Adrian Clouatre has to make an eight-hour round trip from their home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to a rural ICE detention center in Monroe. Clouatre, who qualifies as a service-disabled veteran, goes every chance he can get.

Paola Clouatre, a 25-year-old Mexican national whose mother brought her into the country seeking asylum more than a decade ago, met Adrian Clouatre, 26, at a southern California nightclub during the final months of his five years of military service in 2022. Within a year, they had tattooed each other's names on their arms.

After they married in 2024, Paola Clouatre sought a green card to legally live and work in the U.S. Adrian Clouatre said he is “not a very political person” but believes his wife deserved to live legally in the U.S.

“I’m all for ‘get the criminals out of the country,’ right?" he said. "But the people that are here working hard, especially the ones married to Americans — I mean, that’s always been a way to secure a green card.”

I understand what you're saying.  My wife was here for decades as a permanent resident, but after the first Trump term ended, we quickly got her naturalized.   While I'm relieved about it with everything going on now, I also wonder if we've just trapped her on a sinking ship.
