Pancho -

I'm mesmerized by that gif - that girl is not playing.  Wonder if the rest of the video is available somewhere - I'd like to see it in its entirety!

So four.  But I would lowball the limey candidates.

I never heard of this guy until a few hours ago, so I’m going to go ahead and declare him to be a critical missing piece to the roster who will have a huge impact on the team’s success this year.

All joking aside, it seems like every elite college team has an inside bruiser who can play physical down in the box. I’ve been wishing for that for Texas for years. We’ve had a few guys somewhat like that, but if this guy could fill that role it would be huge imo.

real madrid is a good club (luka’s former club) and the fiba competition is serious. at minimum this guy will be way more battle tested than any american freshman would be.

4 guards is certainly interesting. 3 guys under 6’6”, we big.

Good. I hate the small lineups. Only made sense if you have a handful of guys who can just dagger it from 3.

Unrelated but this is interesting

I’m gruntled by the lineup, but with the new coach, and all the transfers both domestic and international, I have no real idea what to expect next season.

nobody does. this is what will be the determining factor in who is competitive year in and year out in the new age of college hoops- which coaches can turn over the bulk of their roster and still field competitive teams 4/5 years. in a sense the playing field has been evened because nobody is holding on to badass players for more than one year. if miller is adept at turning over his roster and quickly rebuilding then we just hit a huge lick. i can hardly wait for the season to find out.

Well then, I have excellent news for you. We have two (Duru and Traore) on this roster.

100%. This is a great pick up. Who knows what he'll contribute, but he'll be much farther along in terms of development and poise than most true freshmen.

Pope, Mark, and Wilcher all have good experience playing the point. Otherwise, half the roster is looking like they'll play 1-3. Pending injuries, there should be more than enough depth at all positions.

I like the physicality, rebounding, and interior defense this roster looks like it could bring.  Give me one more guy who can handle the ball with some pace (a true point) for about 15-20 mins a game and I'd be super satisfied.  I'm not sure Mark is someone I want bringing the ball up the court more than a few possessions a game to show something different to the opposing defense.  Once we get into the half-court offense, I am cool with him getting some time running the point more.  As it stands now, I am hoping Wilcher and/or Pope can be competent moving the ball up the court with confidence and pace against a pressing defense, cause it seemed like Mark had to turn his back and slow things down significantly at times when we asked him to do that near the end of last year.  Even if we are done with roster additions, I like the changes.  If think keys will be how well our guards protect the ball and how well our SFs/PFs can hit 3's when loosely guarded.

I think the positive there is I’d rather be in this situation with Miller than with RT.
