Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Pining For IOLs Who Can Fog A Mirror

Just watched Bobby, in real time, realize that Sark/Harris have spent the beginning of portal season chasing a bunch of kids from the NE with no connections to Texas, SEC, or any of the coaches.

Big props to raleek. You need a guy with titanium nuts. This dude saw our 4 o linemen left on the roster and said. Yeah I want a fucking challenge. You can build a program around that attitude

don't forget Sam Cosmi and Blair Westerlund.

You can blame Harris directly for having several meetings in which he is the only staff representation and he walked out thinking the player was good to go, and the player walked out thinking they’d been given an exit interview and then submitted paperwork for the portal. A recent example is Bo Barnes. Plenty of others.

I have met with and spoken to Harris directly. He is an unimpressive buffoon who thinks he’s really smart. He’s not well-liked among players or staff and he’s at Texas because he’s zero threat to Sarkisian’s agenda except when accidentally and actively fucking it up.

When people on this board, usually after signing periods and portal periods when the dust settles and Texas has done well, rush to give Harris praise and passive aggressively make comments about doubters and haters questioning him or Sarkisian, all they’re doing is telling the rest of us that they are know-nothing dunces.

And yes, Sarkisian was happy to see Glasscock go and he’s become one of the best in the entire country. Kiffin, asshole and sociopath that he is, doesn’t give one shit about being questioned by his staff. The right answer wins for him, that’s it. I expect him to do well at LSU accordingly.

Who is a better recruiter/closer?

Brandon Harris or Oscar Giles?

I'm personally considering this guy right here the stalking horse for our OL class. An FCS stud with good pedigree, good technique, and good stats. The odds that he embarrasses himself at the next level are very low. He was not a risk to return to NDSU. I assume we could have outbid Michigan State without an issue. And we never gave him the time of day.

If we do not end up with at least 2, preferably 3 transfer OL takes better than this guy, IMO we as fans have every right to be fucking pissed.

our approach is fucked up, taking this guy is the Indiana approach, we employ the jerry jones "oh look at that shiny object" with no real strategy approach.

I don't buy that at all - pure cope by Bobby, IMO. If we're talking a pro athlete getting $15m versus $12m, OK maybe you can make that argument. But $1m to $1.5m is a helluva difference. Many of these dudes are probably thrust into the role of primary breadwinner for their whole family at the age of like 20 years old. Any with a couple braincells will realize that their earning window is short and they're playing a very dangerous sport. If you take a guy that's 20 years old and tell him "we can get you what that other team was offering AND enough extra to pay off your grandma's house as well", that won't matter to him?

To be fair, we saw Austin Goosby turn down a much larger NIL offer from BYU to sign with Texas.

How is that aggy has 4 OL transfers already while UT has none?

Adams earned a 64.2 pass blocking grade and a 48.1 run blocking grade for the Tigers last season, according to PFF.

Last year, Baugh received a 60.8 pass blocking grade and a 55.9 run blocking grade, per PFF.

He (Echols) received a 70.6 pass blocking grade and a 51.5 run blocking grade, per the analytics site.

Doesn't matter. UT needs starters & depth at O-Line. The online UT fanbase would not be panicking this week if UT had those same 4 OL commits that aggy has.

LMAOOOOOOOOO yes they would. They’d be skewering Sark for recruiting. Bread and gathering the pitchforks to run Flood out of town

Not OL, but may be visiting Texas -- slot WR.

Tre Richardson, Vanderbilt football's leading receiver in 2025, is in the transfer portal. In 2025, Richardson made 46 catches for 806 yards and seven touchdowns. He also rushed 11 times for 62 yards. He led the Commodores in receiving yards and was tied for first in receiving touchdowns. He finished the season with 100-yard receiving games in three of his final four games, including in the ReliaQuest Bowl vs. Iowa.

Richardson posted a graphic to his Instagram story Jan. 3 with the caption: "Gods plan, Love all my Vandy people but gotta do what's best for me and my son."

Think about that statement. You could argue that all of those guys came from OLs that were equal or worse than the Texas OL(bama is the only one you can debate) and that doesnt take into account that Texas could bring in Jesus Christ to come and play WR and at least 40% of the post would bitch about it.

Serious ass question, would Flood have taken Kasey Studdard?

I dont see how Coleman is supposed to turn down some absurd offer from Tech. Lubbock blows but Id live on the moon for a year for whatever theyre throwing at him.

This has been a really challenging week for Bobby to come up with narratives that don’t call into question the performance of the coaching and scouting staff.

“I don’t know why all of you keep asking us super chat questions on whether Texas has a plan. Of course they have a plan! It’s a plan, and they have a back-up plan to that plan, and, what? No, I can’t tell you about it. When I asked Brandon Harris what I was allowed to say this morning he just winked at me and then John Bianco texted surveillance photos of my kids.”

I think people would be happy with any options at OL as opposed to the ones currently being brought in.

Nope don’t you go getting negative now. Need somebody to stay positive and call me out for trolling lol

One million is not one million after agent fees and taxes. Of course the 500k is going to make a difference. Also, every player should be using some of that money and taking out a large Lloyd's type of injury insurance (I assume there are still places to get those, right?).

Perfect scheme fit. Shifty enough to make 1-2 defenders miss in the backfield and get back to the line of scrimmage to set up 2nd and 15.

SIAP but OTF is saying they think Brunner from Wisconsin will go to Indiana.

Gerry also says the Barnes situation isn't all about NIL. Wonder what Brandon genius Harris said to him..

Bobby saying $1M vs $1.5M doesn’t really matter to recruits is about as low as proclaiming the motion of the ocean is what matters to women.

Yep, and they are giving a bigger cut to their agents than in the NFL it sounds like.

I am surprised state income tax isn’t talked about more with these kids. That difference in 3-10% could be big for a 18 year old.

Agreed.

So you're Moore and Baxter and you end up at... Kentucky? OK, cool, but is that really what you were envisioning? How much more are you really making and you're at Kentucky now.

Lockett gets in the motherfucker. Great, now where are you going and for how much, actually?

That "jerry jones" comment with a like from Baxter is actually kind of encouraging. It indicates a plan and a process, which are two very good things to have in a time of chaos. Even a weak plan is better than none.

Moore took his NIL money and started a food truck business, Jive Turkey, w/ his mother, in Austin, the unofficial food truck capital of the world. I thought that was pretty clever, that people would be supportive of using his NIL winnings in a manner that was taking care of his family, whether they were Texas fans or not.

I expect the food truck is transferring with him to Kentucky. I'll take the under on how well $15 "Deep Fried Turkey Tacos" do in Lexington v. Austin.

I would trade Coleman for three solid OL right now, straight up.

I’m not listening until I exercise later but I’m primed for Bobby to henpeck listeners for complaining in spite of Brown’s commitment.

“They are all-in, see?!?! They got the back they really wanted after their top three, err.. four, uh, maybe five choices stayed with their teams. Why do you guys keep sending in questions about the O-line? We got 8 line man on scholarship and that doesn’t include walk-ons, how many do you think we need?”

Gerry “Yep.”

OL maybe. Mascoe - our staff is basically a Rutgers retirement home. What about the Florida kids directly after hiring a Florida position coach? Or the SEC WR? Or the Arkansas DT?

I think LB and WR are bigger needs right now. A lot of the focus on OL is backwards-facing. And if they had played the first 6 games like they played the last 6 games, we (this thread) wouldn't have this focus.

My goodness. Some of the posters here need to grow some balls. The constant doom and gloom is nauseating. Texas just landed one of the best RBs in the portal and here we are bitching, still. Bunch of pussies in here complaining about losing two OL that stayed at their own school bc they like it there after we just whipped their ass a week ago with 7 starters missing on defense. Same OL that couldn't run the ball against ou, the same ou team our shitty OL punked. Stop with the constant complaining. You idiots realize there are more than just 1-2 good players in college football right? The Louisville guy that CTJ didn't even want never entered the portal, so we go get another stud in Raleek Brown. If Sprague wants to stay at UM and turn down 1.6 mil... well guess what... we'll tamper another very good OL that will take the 1.6 mil. If Baugh wants to stay at Florida, well there will be another badass RB that will take that offer. We were 1 Florida loss with some mediocre players from making the CFP. We don't need the number 1 guy at every position to win it all. We simply need upgrades which we will get.... some of whom are at the top of the portal rankings like Mascoe and Brown. More guys are going to show up, more guys are going to enter the portal. We're going to win some and we're going to lose some. At the end of it, we'll likely have one of the best portal classes and you stupid fat fucks will still be crying while jerking off to Michael Dell's tranny wife.
