I tend to agree, but he's not the type to do that and because he's not the type to do that the only thing he "should" do is take the call, to prevent the focus shifting to petty drama and away from the victims and bringing the killer to justice.

Sucks but nah, you gotta use every tool in the box at this point, even if it is icky.  "I didn't take the President's call because I don't believe there is anything that Donald J Trump can or will do that will help this terrible situation."

"may" call?
may?

Elected reps shot in their homes and the killer is still on the loose. But there is a (D) next to their names you see, so the president may not bother even picking up the phone.

Walz should absolutely refuse that call should it be made.  Democrats simply have to stop trying to do everything the "right" way and start fighting dirty.

It's not lost on me that most of the heavy hitters are women -- AOC, Katie Porter, etc.  They care about being correct and about landing punches, which is as it should be.

The scuttle online is his church is helping him hide

That’s at least a credible theory. Because Islamic fundamentalism bent on subjecting all who oppose it to their will, imposed by violence, is a real deal terrorist movement. Did I say Islamic? My bad. Christian is what I meant.

Christianity has a long history of peace, love, and understanding.

It's Tim Walz's fault that Democrats, their spouses and pets are and being shot and murdered by a Trump supporter who preaches his trans hate and anti-abortionist views at his church.

These hateful wingers are beginning to feel and understand blowback. That’s why they’re straining credulity in their attempts to paint this assassin as anything other than what he is, which is one of their own.

I don't think that means what you think it means.

It does, men and women are tired of the bullshit given to them through toxic masculinity and standards that can’t be reached in today’s world and entrepreneurial feminism that values smut over family values.

So you'd be cool if America's moral reclamation was led by Muslim clerics?

Give me a list to judge of what you think Muslims want to change and I’ll give you my thoughts. Clerics will probably get rejected here since they have no power.

They're also tired of hypocrisy, which works against organized religion.

If I had to guess, the list would be similar to that of Christian and Jewish leaders seeing as how they all worship the same deity.

If you think non-religious people produce as much charity to the world as organized religion I am open to and would love to see that measurement. Not a tax measurement.

Where is the advocacy for family values on the right? Who’s leading that effort?

Bill and Melinda Gates, Warren Buffett, Chan-Zuckerberg, Bezos and ex wife all say hello.

None of that is because of religion or god.

Love the billionaire pledge. Not sure if it’s entirely non faith-based- if any of them are on record saying so, great.

Yes, organized religion has been an absolute net positive on the world.

Organized religion is the corruption of spirituality

But sure, organized religion is where all the charity comes from. What a stupid fucking take.

I don’t think I said that at all. I’m drunk, but I didn’t type that, and I don’t drink.

There’s no spirituality without picking and choosing ala carte from organized religion.

Why does it have to be faith-based?  Why can't it just be goodness-based?

Why do you think they do that, Christians in particular?

Those individuals were born from and raised by other individuals who upbringing shaped them. In our lifetime that’s mostly church and community based.

So with this logic all the bad things people do are rooted in church and community as well. Bringing us back to zero.

Do what? Tithe? Give freely? It’s not mandatory.

What are “bad” things the church tells people to do?
