I think the people are on Milwee, because he is the common denominator between Quinn and Arch. Quinn always had bad mechanics and they never got better. Arch had good mechanics and now they are a disaster. IF you watch 4 years of QBs displaying bad mechanics under the same staff it is not crazy to question their ability to teach mechanics.

If all our QBs have private coaches who can eat the blame for the annual regression we might as well get rid of our bald dork and replace him with a play caller

Half of my family arw aggies (2%ers), and even they're questioning wtf has happened to our QB. They aren't laughing, they're as baffled as the rest of us.

Hell, I'd be laughing, too, if I were them. Manning's performance is mind-boggling. Unprecedented

I just can't understand how a kid who grew up with two HOF uncles who both won SB's, who were both great QB's, who has known nothing but how to play the game, throw the ball, hold the ball, and can't even fucking hit his man right there in front of him. Dirt has more catches than any WR or RB on our entire roster. You would think he's trying to understand the Pythagoras theorem formula instead of just throwing a fucking accurate pass.

Lmao I hate predictions that change week to week. Aggy is now gonna make the playoff? They beat a 0-2 shitty ND team. They’ll have multiple losses by seasons end.

Aggies defense is shit. Reed will come down to earth. Notre Dame fucking sucks and in rebuild.

Can someone go to Dean Keeton and post up in the trees and see what the fuck is going on at practice. This is an all time collapse for a team expected to score at will in these cupcake games.

Stroh is a stumbling lummox. A walking net negative on the line in every way. Oddly, the staff seems entirely committed to his detrimental presence. He played every snap. I find it really difficult to believe there's anyone on that unit that's worse than him. If so, an even greater indictment on Flood's unfolding buffoonery.

After a rewatch of the game (I’m a masochist I guess) what struck me outside of Arch’s ineptitude was just how many plays one or more of the OL or TEs block absolutely nobody. On pulls, on kick outs, on regular ol inside zone, they manage to find nothing to do. How is that possible? Unsurprisingly the main culprits were Stroh and Hutson.

You have to assume that Kibble, Cruz, et al, are just garbage as well.

And spare me the "its only their second year in the program!" bullshit.

If they can't outperform Stroh and Hutson - who themselves are performing at bottom of FBS levels - then we don't really have much hope for them going forward.

Maybe, but there's a truth in being too close to a situation clouds your judgement. They know all these kids and have their own biases and emotions tied up in them, and that could prohibit them from accurately judging.

Always need an outside evaluator you trust to keep your biases in check.

I realize it’s folly to rely on high school recruiting evals for a player in year four, but I’d really like to know what upside Stroh is offering over Neto.  It would seem like experience would at least teach the more senior player to at least execute the blocking scheme.

The OL is ok. It's not a mess. It's not great, but It can be remedied by benching Stroh for Neto and going 90 percent gap scheme. There's a fix, but my hope Sark is just using these freebie games to experiment is going out the window. If he trots out this same shit vs SHSU then we're screwed. He needs at least one free win game to go with what he sees can work.

Okay isn’t good enough. Our OL sucks this year, it was above average the past two years and hasn’t gotten consistent push against the top teams we play.

Simmons has been getting pressure, just not sacks. The coverage isn’t good enough to make QBs hold on to the ball longer. Jaylon Guilbeau can’t cover and can’t really recover, so he plays off so he doesn’t get beat over the top.

Not just him, but lots of space underneath where we just try to rally and tackle.

We’ve been playing further off which is allowing teams to get their passes off even quicker. Thatguy and I were talking about it in the PK thread.

After 2021, if you would’ve told me that our defense would be elite in all aspects and that our offense would be all JAG’s that also can’t execute basic high school concepts, I would have thought you were confusing us for aTm.

It has done well in gap scheme runs. Various versions of counter have consistently gotten the most yards every game.  Has done well in pass pro.

It sucks complete ass in 90 percent of the zone blocking plays,  and Sark ran 60 to 65 percent zone blocking in that game.

How many games does he need to see this OL can't consistently zone block worth a shit?

It's funny isn't it. The only thing that got Sark out of the Seven Win Steve zone was nailing the PK hire.

Thats not even close to true. If a QB played these three games that was locked in and able to hit receivers with a college open window consistentlybl we'd be 3-0 and would have put 50+ on these last 2. Watch the tape. The receivers are there. The time is there to throw. Endries is a beast.

100 percent of the problem is blocking scheme and QB. When you see the film it's maddening how damn many plays are left on the field. A bad QB can sink your whole offense unless your OL and RBs are world class. Ours arent, but they arent bad.

I am not sure we will see that all year. PK is usually bend and not break guy, I could see him upping the game as the offenses improve. Ohio State makes a ton sense to do that. Not a WR crew you feel real comfortable playing bump and run. We have played tomato cans since then, not much reason to show anything

The only work I did was write the prompt. This was courtesy of the free version of ChatGPT. Here is my prompt:

"Please design the following stylized mascots. Design a graphic of the San Jose State Spartan, UTEP Miner, and Sam Houston Bearkat in a dramatic, shadowy, “warrior” style - powerful poses, dark tones, glowing eyes, and intimidating weapons: a glowing pickaxe for the miner, a sword for the spartan, and sharp claws for the bearkat. Above the picture should be text that reads "Murderer's Row"

Absolute garbage.

Is Neto hurt, or in the doghouse for some transgression? I didn't see anything upthread; sorry if I missed it.

He’s too mean.  Stroh brings cookies and koolaid to practice, and says “yes sir.”  Neto picks fights with his teammates and is a loose cannon.  Can’t have anybody that aggressive on the offensive line.

That list is the axle grease of the coaching carousel we find ourselves mired within

@closetojumping has said the coaches don’t trust him to play under control. He said Neto appeared to be the best guard, but penalties (including late hits and fights) are the concern.

We knew Hutson sucked early on, and he wasn't going to "get better". They (the $9.95ers) keep harping that he played so much football as a freshman, but what they fail to tell their audience is that he fucking sucked ass. He and Stroh on the same line, we need a new OL coach. I don't give a shit what Flood did at Alabama, Saban had a hand in who he recruited, and it's obvious. Our offensive line is an abomination and an embarrassment.

Do we have a dedicated thread to bitch about Kyle Flood?
