That's such ignorant horseshit. He literally called for nonviolence for years. He may have said and believed many things others don't, but his message was not about violence. Anyone who listened for more than a sound bite understands this

Charlie Kirk:

Controversial statements on race and diversity

Criticism of Black pilots and DEI: In January 2024, Kirk stated, "If a Black pilot is seen, it's necessary to hope he's qualified," while arguing that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives are "anti-White".

Comments on Black crime: In 2023, Kirk discussed what he called "Black crime" in inner cities, referring to it as a "huge problem no one wants to talk about".

Denunciation of the Civil Rights Act: During a December 2023 Turning Point USA event, Kirk stated, "We made a huge mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s," claiming it led to a "permanent" bureaucracy promoting diversity.

Racist dog whistles: In September 2024, Kirk was among the first to spread unproven allegations that Haitian immigrants in Ohio were eating cats and dogs. This led to former President Donald Trump repeating the false claim in a televised debate.

Support for "Great Replacement" theory: In a February 2024 Instagram post, Kirk referenced the debunked "Great Replacement" conspiracy theory, which alleges that undocumented immigrants are intentionally replacing white Americans. In August 2024, he also accused a Black lawmaker of being part of an "attempt to eliminate the white population in this country".

Disparagement of Martin Luther King Jr.: Kirk dismissed Martin Luther King Jr. as a "mythological creation" of the 1960s and, during a 2023 event, called him "awful" and "not a good person".

Anti-LGBTQ rhetoric

LGBTQ+ agenda claims: Kirk frequently spoke against what he termed the "LGBTQ agenda," portraying it as a threat to American culture and claiming its efforts would "corrupt your children".

Statements on gender identity: He declared that "there are only two genders" and described transgenderism as "lies that hurt people and abuse kids". He also claimed in 2022 that transgender people were to blame for inflation.

Opposition to transgender healthcare: Kirk vocally opposed gender-affirming care, stating in 2024, "We must ban trans-affirming care — the entire country," and called for Donald Trump to run on this issue.

Homophobic slurs: In 2023, Kirk courted controversy by saying that if January 6 rioters had "stripped naked and filmed themselves having gay sex," they would have been treated more leniently.

Biblical interpretation of homosexuality: In 2024, Kirk cited Leviticus 20:13, which refers to "men lying with men... abomination," calling it "God's perfect law when it comes to sexual matters".

Antisemitic claims

Jewish control conspiracies: In October 2023, Kirk repeated antisemitic tropes about Jews controlling various sectors, alleging they dominated universities, non-profits, and Hollywood.

Philanthropy accusations: He accused "elite" Jewish philanthropies of funding universities that foster antisemitism, thereby "subsidising your own demise".

Claims of anti-white animus: In April 2025, Kirk claimed on his show that Jewish communities "have been pushing the exact kind of hatred against whites that they claim to want people to stop using against them". He also alleged that "the philosophical foundation of anti-whiteness has been largely financed by Jewish donors in the country".

Pandemic-related misinformation

Promotion of COVID-19 conspiracy theories: During the pandemic, Kirk used his platform to spread false and misleading information, including claiming the drug hydroxychloroquine was "100 percent effective" against the virus and promoting baseless conspiracy theories about Chinese authorities.

Opposition to mask mandates and lockdowns: He vocally opposed public health measures like mask mandates and school lockdowns.

Vaccine comparisons: In 2021, Kirk reportedly compared vaccine requirements to apartheid.

Other controversial statements

Promotion of Christian nationalism: Kirk embraced Christian nationalism, warning of a "spiritual battle" against "wokeism, Marxism and Islam." He also referenced the "Seven Mountains Mandate," a political-religious philosophy calling for Christians to control key areas of society.

Comments on gun deaths: After a 2023 mass shooting in Nashville, Kirk claimed that a certain number of gun deaths was a worthwhile "cost" for preserving the Second Amendment.

Support for January 6 rioters: In a January 2021 post on X, Kirk promoted busing "patriots" to Washington, D.C., to "fight for the president" ahead of the January 6th attack on the Capitol. Following the riot, he claimed the rioters did not represent the mainstream of Trump's support.

This is just a brief list of things Charlie Kirk has said over the years.

I classify this rhetoric as divisive and hateful, and parts of it are racist.

"On September 10, 2025, at approximately 12:24PM, Conservative political influencer Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at the Utah Valley University in Orem, UT. Mr. Kirk was speaking at the University as part of the American Comeback Tour. Multiple SLC I and III agents responded immediately. The suspect fired one shot from an elevated position on a rooftop in an adjacent building on the campus and surveillance video shows the suspect, jumping off and fleeing the area on foot. ATF and other law-enforcement located an older model imported Mauser .30-06 caliber bolt action rifle wrapped in a towel in a wooded area near the campus. The location of the firearm appears to match the suspects route of travel. The spent cartridge was still chambered in addition to three unspent rounds at the top fed magazine. All cartridges have engraved wording on them, expressing transgender and anti-fascist ideology. An emergency trace has been submitted an ATF SLC is working leads generated by the trace. The firearm and ammunition have been taken by the FBI for DNA analysis and fingerprint impressions. Upon completion of forensics, the firearm will be disassembled for additional importer information. Multiple people of interest having contacted or detained because of eyewitness testimony and review of video footage. The primary suspect is yet to be identified. ATF is assisting the investigation with multiple other federal, state, and local partners and the case is co-led by the FBI and Utah SBI.""

Ah, thank you for the context. His 2nd amendment quote seemed grotesquely insensitive but at least debatable. But these other quotes make it clear that he’s a modern shock-jock which unfortunately makes him a thought-leader similar to Rush Limbaugh.

I'm honestly surprised that in the current environment that support of the second amendment is still controversial. It might become sort of important relatively soon. And most of the laws passed in response to stuff like this are statistically used (like if you spend even a little time researching racial disparities in enforcement of illegal firearm possession laws, in every instance where there is publicaly released data the results are impossible to deny) to put young black men in jail or in jail for longer. We are sacrificing generations of African American families and their futures so that white kids can feel a little bit safer.

More information being released on that news report

Investigators have determined that the gunman who killed Charlie Kirk arrived near the Utah Valley University campus at 11:52 a.m., about half an hour before the attack, the Utah public safety commissioner says. The police have since been able to track his movements onto campus, through stairwells to a roof and to the “shooting location.”

After shooting Charlie Kirk, the gunman ran across the roof from where he had fired, jumped off of the building and fled the Utah Valley University campus into the surrounding neighborhood, the public safety commissioner says.

...

The suspect in the shooting “appears to be of college age,” according to Beau Mason, the commissioner of Utah’s Department of Public Safety. “We are confident in our abilities to track that individual,” he adds in a news conference, saying that investigators have been able to identify the gunman in video footage taken yesterday.

Investigators have other evidence that could help them identify and track down the killer, the special agent in charge of the F.B.I.’s Salt Lake City field office said in a news conference. That evidence includes a palm imprint, a forearm imprint and a “footwear impression.”

The FBI might be run by a moron, but at least he hasn't fired all of the competent special agents yet.

I imagine the SAIC in SLC would be one of the last to come under scrutiny from the regime.  We really haven't heard too much about field offices being fucked with outside of DC and NYC.

I think 100% of his friends  whom I follow posted something in their IG stories about Kirk. Some of that is probably copycat, fit in, go with the crowd behavior, but my son said that "everyone at school knows who Charlie Kirk is." /csb

Yeah given we already had an old guy as the suspect and a guy who had an air soft rifle as the suspect, maybe we hold off on internet speculation until something is confirmed by the FBI.

The FBI isn't inspiring a lot of confidence right now. This feels like the perfect storm for someone to get away with it given where it took place, the lack of police presence (6 cops and a small security detail for Kirk), an open campus, and an easy exit surrounded by tons of places to get lost.

And conveniently most of those cops were dragging the Larry David lookalike red herring out of there immediately afterwards.  No fucking way that guy could have pulled that off but obviously they had to go after him. I saw a video (cant find it right now)where one of the cops said "He said he shot him but we don't know " .

that's what's in the screenshot of teams.doj.gov that steven crowder posted. TBH I would consider that to be a realtively reliable source of information in this current climate on this topic. He's another conservative agitprop pundit that does the same schtick as Kirk, so it stands to reason that DOJ would reach out and loop him in. Even moreso when you consider all their working relationship to the administration

A screenshot of a social media post on X displaying text about a shooting incident involving Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. The text mentions a Mauser .30-06 rifle, ATF investigation details, and cartridges with engraved wording. A watermark from X is present.

And/or its information that is released by a source that is known to have those ties and is plausible and not in completely conspiracy theory land.

@immamac your near instantaneous response to my reply in this thread is flattering, if a bit unsettling. I can only conclude that you are stalking me and have made me an object of your adoration. Please be assured that this adoration is not mutual, although i do respect you as a person. I do not want there to be any misunderstandings between us.

My best guess since in the presser the FBI said they had recovered what they believe to be the weapon used that they are waiting on DNA genealogy stuff to trace back to the assassin. And his middle name. So college age looking (or can pass for) man who would blend in well with the crowd. And ran into a nearby neighborhood and they have some good face shots but aren’t releasing those to the press. To me it seems like they are waiting on DNA from the rifle. Or do I have that wrong?

That’s weird. It gels with what some think that it was a professional hit. Or it could be some guy who saw the Butler shooting and said I can perfect that. No manifesto. No second shot fired. Wasn’t a mass shooter type thing. Ran off in the confusion and blended in with everyone else. Takes weapon from the rooftop: I mean it was clear that they would find out the trajectory of the bullet fairly quickly and notate if someone had been up there to fire the weapon. Why ditch it? Why not keep it? It makes me think the person is local. Knew the campus and the area. Couldn’t bring the weapon back home?

Would it make any sense to plant a likely weapon near the shooting spot so that authorities find it and stop searching for it, and take the real one with you and/or hide it in a more complex location? It probably wouldn’t make much of a difference at your escape prospects really.

I had the plain text version of the screenshots from Crowder above sent to me with the pics below it, I didn't even pick up on the watermark in the background.  (mods feel free to edit my post above with disclaimers if you see fit)  Glad I used the word "supposedly" and not "this is 100% factual" if it indeed was something originally sourced from Crowder.   I guess we shall see.

WSJ running with that story, but low on details.

Spoiler

Investigators found ammunition engraved with expressions of transgender and antifascist ideology inside the rifle that authorities believe was used in the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, according to an internal law-enforcement bulletin and a person familiar with the investigation.

The older-model .30 caliber hunting rifle was discovered in the woods near the scene of Wednesday’s shooting at Utah Valley University, wrapped in a towel with a spent cartridge still in the chamber, the sources said. There were also three unspent rounds in the magazine, all with wording on them.

A Justice Department official cautioned that the investigation was still in its preliminary stages, and that investigators were still examining the ammunition.

Kirk, 31 years old, was onstage going back and forth with a student about mass shootings involving transgender people when he was targeted, according to videos of the attack. The student hasn't been publicly identified.
