He mentioned Crabtree.  Too soon, man, too soon...

He is pretty fucking arrogant trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, Texas' lone national championship in my lifetime happened because the coaches innovated and fit an offense to the players, before 2005 no national champion ran the spread offense to high success. 50.1 ppg is still second place for an undefeated team. 2019 LSU was 48.4 ppg and 2020 Bama was 48.5

I don't think it's arrogance. It's hard to be arrogant when you've hit rock bottom and sought help. It's more that his idea of himself, what he hangs his ego hat on, is offensive guru, and admitting that he's not all that isn't easy. He's got the capacity for growth, clearly. Let's see if he uses it.

I don't know that he gives that much of a fuck, which is my big problem with him.

Now more than ever it's obvious he's not a vicious competitor and I just don't think anyone can win it all without being a little bit coo coo for coco puffs in that way if you know what I mean.

The OU type spread offense has gotten shit on for over 20 years, because that OU team was the only one that won a tile with it. The “experts” kept saying that type of offense couldn’t get yards against good defenses.

Maybe there is some truth to that, but I sit around all Saturday and see average teams all over the country put up big offensive numbers with it, or a variant of it. Annoying as heck, while I watch Texas sputter around all the time.

Take some concepts from that offense, mix in some Sark beliefs, and run a better offense.

I wouldn't put too much into what Taaffe said. I think he was 100% just sticking up for his quarterback and good friend, and taking the heat off of him.

Plus, he's a Sip.

I'm telling everyone to stop acting like a bunch of bitches. I'm not saying to not criticize the team or aspects of the game that warrant it, but stop acting like Texas lost the fucking game and that they aren't deep in the hunt for SECCG and Playoffs.

Sark didn't look or sound like a guy who'd won the game in the postgame presser.

But yeah. Fans are being bitches.

Everyone is shitting on these guys. They are balling the fuck out except the offense.

Get the fuck over yourselves.

your dumbass was shouting to everyone that we'd by 4 scores and that we absolutely did not get physically man-handled by Florida. You have shown your ass time and time again

didn't get physically manhandled by Kentucky either and had the offense done literally anything it could have been 4 scores. I'm not gonna sit out here and project that Arch is going to backslide to UTEP levels of dogshit play and the OL is gonna just forget that they are playing football.

I hope that's not true, that he sacrificed other things than his competitive coco puffs to get / stay sober, but who knows, I haven't slept at a Holiday Inn Express in a long time.

Here's a good one for everyone thinking Texas has culture issues or is quiet quitting or Sark has lost the locker room or whatever other bullshit is trying to be imagined.

We have the right guy in charge. He may need to make some staff changes or get back to the drawing board but Sark is the fucking man and these kids play their asses off for him.

you need thicker glasses if you still can't admit that Florida physically man-handled us. UK didn't as much as Florida, but look at the rushing stats and tell me if their DL did not best our OL physically

Lol your big example of sark being the guy and culture comes from a defensive player that says pretty much the opposite of his HC.

I guess what I'm saying and I think what ztejas is saying is that the coaches are fucking this and the players are ready to fucking play.

One side of coaches was my overall point. Sark doesn’t meddle in the defense. Pk runs that shit. Their words and message seems different than offense. Wingo from a week or two ago basically repeated some sark pussy shit.

I'll make them all, but the "manhandling" just isn't there in the first quarter. There's blown as fuck assignments, and stupid ass shit going on, but not straight up getting manhandled. IDK why people stick with this narrative or if they just don't actually have eyes or as you say "know shit about football", but I do know quite a bit about football and I know what the fuck I'm seeing and it's not a bunch of dudes just getting pushed around by the other team it's a bunch of dumb shit blown assignments and not knowing what the fuck to do or who the fuck they are supposed to be blocking.

Neither is excusable, but they are different problems.

Arch was still on probation with me but working his way out of that after 10 or 11 fine to really good quarters against Sam, Florida and OU.
after that debacle I’m in the “I won’t believe it until I see it” every week from him until the end of the season. It is really bad.

We got manhandled on the offensive line by both Florida and Kentucky. They got tossed around like barbie dolls. The ROI on the pancake factory is negative so far.

lmao Pancake Factory produced some of the best OL play that has been seen at Texas in the past decade+ and stopped 3 seasons ago.

I don't think we have had one of the best OL units in Texas history under Sark. Yes, the unit had some talent but they were stars even before they got here. My bad for not knowing that the pancake factory is not longer here.

My dad used to think my mom made the most perfect roundest pancakes in the world until one day he went digging in the freezer and realized those round masterpieces were nothing but frozen premade lies and he’s never had the same enthusiasm about breakfast since then.

Decade+ is 2010 to now, you forget that we are old.

I also didn't say all time.

I make fucking awesome pancakes. Or at least I did before I got my fat surgery and now can't eat them and the kids don't really like pancakes.  But your dad should have slapped your mom for being a lazy bitch.  Making pancakes from scratch isn't that hard. From a box its simpleton shit.  Buying them frozen is just totally giving up at life.

This is where I am. And I'm stealing "still on probation" - btw.

I was a huge Arch apologist - but now I'm somewhat concerned that he just might not have it. We'll see what happens. This team has a ton of runway left.

What decade of American history are you living in?

Business schools have been preaching "profit profit profit, shareholders first" for decades now.
