This would explain a lot about what’s going on. He seems checked out and appears to be going through the motions. He seems overwhelmed from everything the college game requires (recruiting, portal strategy, etc.) and all of the bullshit UT media throws at him. Combine all of that with his family situation, he’s probably seeing that the grass is way greener in the NFL.

All of which reinforces the fact that Sark is a huge pussy who'll never have what it takes to win the last game of the season.

He would be but I think Florida is his dream job because of him growing up a Spurrier fan

He would have taken the job before when they chose Sunbelt Billy. Is he dream job is Bama, but it might never be open again while he's still a serious candidate. I would love him here and we could easily outbid Florida and Texas is a much better job than Florida.

Lane Kiffin is the man for the job

Lane is Sark 2.0 with a better offensive mind.

He doesn't have what it takes to win the big one anymore than Sark does.

I’m right there with you, I’d love to have Lane at Texas. He would have everything he needs/wants to be successful and we’d finally have some real damn QB development

Didn't the Titan's HC make like $3M/yr....and Sark making 10.6m/yr and has a fully guaranteed $64M through 2031.

I'm not good at math but....

This is where I'm at.  Either way, he's going to have to win today and then immediately address these rumors post game.

1.  Russini has the bonafide sources. She doesn’t just post rumors

2. great for recruiting sark

3.  First sign of adversity and this turkey wants to bounce?

4.  Maybe he’s more suited for the pros.  College is hard

5. cdc call lane or Cignetti

6. Mary Lou be my boo.  You got my digits

He sucks at playcalling and isn’t gonna give it up. Perhaps this is best. Timing sucks, but CDC can start looking at candidates by end of year have someone lined up.

This

Thanks for a solid tenure, Sark, but we need to start moving on Kiffin if you intend to bail on us.

Nope.  Not here.  Nobody here got paid.  It’s everyone else.  Just not us.  Everyone else doing good is not our fault.  It’s not our fault we sucked.

Everyone else cheated.  Oh, and everyone else got calls but us because the refs sucks and hate us.

Or, we just didn’t make good hiring decisions.  Maybe it’s that.

This is your proof that we pay players?  They shop at champs and macys?

The timing feels like he’s trying to get ahead of the fall of the upcoming schedule.  If so, it says a lot about what he thinks his future prospects are tied to Arch Manning.  Another possibility is he’s reacting to “murmurings” inside the athletic department & perhaps amongst the donors, perhaps he’s even heard a particular “name”  (dare I mention Saban’s wife was seemingly jokingly saying “Show me the money” on Gameday a week or so ago?), and is trying to publicize their bluff in a move to change that conversation, or perhaps demand a show of commitment in the form of further compensation.  Perhaps he’s heard the Manning’s are less than satisfied w/ the development of Arch, and are flexing whatever influence they might have.  Or perhaps he’s tired of the extremely high expectations that come w/ the Texas job.  I don’t know, but if there’s any truth to this, it’s going to be yet another turbulent Nov/Dec on the 40 acres.  Thought the program had put that behind them, but shows you just how quickly things can change if hope can no longer be sold at a big program

Someone in Sark's camp okayed this info coming out. That's all we need to know.

This. Either Sark wants out or someone close to him is stabbing him in the back.

I’m personally going with the latter.

Maybe there has already been light or maybe even heavy suggestion to him that he needs to give up playcalling duties going into next year and he doesn't like it.  That said a coach struggling this bad with HIS side of the ball making overtures toward the NFL is certainly a choice.

Posted

I have been saying he looks checked out so this isn't surprising.  His personal life is a mess so he might think a change is best.  He also might think the pros can handle his "great" offense better.

Regardless,  I don't see it. Hot coaches get the calls and have to deny the rumors.  Not so hot coaches have to send out feelers.

My guess is he’s drained from college game but hey it could save us some money in a few years? Could also be behind the scenes stuff as well

I’m guessing he’s feeling the heat because people aren’t buying his bullshit. Sarkisian isn’t the genius he wants us to think he is.

Stop trying to bang a square leg into a round hole.

Ohio State alum Brian Hartline

The issue with Hartline has always been "how much of this is Hartline, and how much of this is Day?"  Many folks have observed Day seemed way more involved in the offensive playcalling during playoffs last year post Michigan bed shitting.

Totally disagree. Give Lane this roster and we’re 6-1 at absolute worst right now.
