Mendoza talks like what Gipetto thinks a real boy would sound like.

Just once I want an interview after the game where a player thanks his lord and savior, Satan.

Whoa. This is actually real. Wtf? I hope this means we're getting Coleman or better. I did not expect this.

If not Coleman maybe Scudero who would be a natural slot and possession receiver for Arch.

He's losing his roommate in Livingstone, he could have another that could be a security blanket receiver for him on the field also.

Yep. That’s why they discouraged teams from playing tough OTC schedules and kept the cupcake week late in November to pad the poll spots

Yep. And they also played one less conference game in place of the FCS cupcake game. Therefore, every team in the conference would get an extra win instead of half the conference getting an extra loss. So many of these teams were inflated in the rankings to begin the year and it just compounded from there. It was all a huge marketing scheme.

The media really had people thinking Tennessee and Mizzou were quality teams this year because of the SEC bias.

Most losses in college football history: Where Indiana, o...

A few Big Ten schools find themselves among college football's all-time worst programs.

I’m not disagreeing with you but, I think this is an interesting, and topical, article.

This on the field interview with Curt sucks. Her fucking questions are stupid and biased.

good article. agree that Indiana is historically a bad program but they did have 7 or so years where they were decent under Mallory. Bill Snyder raised KSU's all time winning percentage by 10 points by himself.

if Cignetti goes on a run for 10+ years with this type of success it will be historic like Snyder. if he wins the NC this year it will eclipse Miami 83.

interesting factoid. after Corso left Indiana, Sam Wyche became the head coach for one year and went 3-8 and the next year was hired by the Bengals.

@Helobious How happy are you that a Chicano won the Heisman and a CFP game?

It seems we're in BamaJelly's heads..... comparing all things to TEXAS already! Lulz.

Agree. The problem is he plays the X like Wingo, and Scudero plays slot. We need an X WR, like Coleman or whomever.

Or one that admits he's not so egotistical to believe if any all powerful diety exists that diety would care more about his performance in a game than helping the tens of thousands of children across the world that died of neglect, abuse, or malnurishment today.

I can only shake my head these days at insane narcissistic and tone deaf people who thank a god for helping them win a game.

That UCLA team lost their first 2 games and then won out. Dumb Gump.

The writing on the wall was already there for Deboer when he lost to a dogshit OU team last year and not only that, was dominated. In a game where if they simply won, they are in the playoffs. And this year, loses to them again in the regular season. Then got down 17-0 to them on a 3rd try but OU choked as they always do in these games.

He followed up that terrible loss last year to OU to a very bad FSU loss to begin this season. Lost to OU again and got dominated by Georgia in the SEC title game. Now a 38-3 playoff loss. This guy isn't it.

He built his entire reputation in the semifinal game against us when every single Penix moonball was brought down by Odunze

I watched the MNF game because of fantasy football championship and the entire postgame interview with Bijan and his 2 OL was nothing but a bible study episode, god this, god that. To the point where the interviewer was getting annoyed about it and trying to get them to pivot.

Why not just recognize that the talent of you and your team got the win?

To be fair. Mizzou was snakebit this year. But they were a mid-major like they have always been. A punchers chance to take down a major program, but otherwise in Texas Tech's caliber.

who really cares what they say? the sideline reporters are just there to fill time. maybe they should stop interviewing them after the game so they don't invoke God and trigger everyone.

They think thanking a god makes them seem humble, but anyone with critical thinking skills can see it's about the most narcissistic thing you can say. Would be far more appropriate to just thank your teammates for all their hard work.

Those were Inflated rankings with a Purpose, to keep those spaces occupied after the snowjob drop by Texas after the "But, but.... flowda! Herp-Derp!" loss, so Texas couldn't get back up in the rankings no matter who we beat and no matter how big the margin of victory was.

Result: The Wake-Up-Every-Morning-And-Hate-Texas piggy AD counts losses ONLY and keeps Texas out if the CFP.

Losing in the CCG should put a team out of the playoff bracket. Why have a conf champ game if the loser advances? Why would a player play if they advance to a bowl then sit out? IMO, to say the least the playoff system is severly flawed.

Still waiting for a player with some balls to thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster and state that the only reason he wins games is because he's being lifted up by the noodly, delicious arms of the Lord Pasta. Though coming out as an atheist in the NFL would probably be worse than coming out as gay for your career prospects.

My niece goes to IU. My brother is trying to keep her grounded during this run. As Purdue grads, we have seen our fair share of “this team is going to do it! This year is the year” Mostly in basketball, but there was a decade of recent “great” Purdue football under Joe Tiller.

The vitriol between Purdue and Indiana is lower key than OU or Aggy for Texas. It exists, but you don’t have IU or Purdue guys flexing at parties, etc. or whooping (or whatever) at weddings, funerals, or church events.

That said, we do have the following:

What do Purdue and Indiana students have in common? They all applied to Purdue.

And

What do Indiana grads say to Purdue grads? “Would you like to biggie size that?”

I’d love to see IU win it all.

Isn't Purdue the aggy (Land Grant school) of Indiana?

Purdue is the land grant university, yes. Engineering, Agriculture, Pharmacy, etc. IU has neither engineering nor Ag.

Edited to add - from 1865-1869, Purdue was called “Indiana Agricultural College.” Around that time, the state considered adding an agriculture school to Indiana University or Butler to make one of them the land grant university.
