I like how these assholes just lazily throw out "anti-Semite" at everyone.  AOC is too big of a pussy to say anything remotely critical about Israel but she gets labeled an anti-Semite anyway.  American pols and media have a lot to learn from the Brits on weaponizing that type of allegation against the left.

You're an idiot

I agree that it is a dumb term.  Someone decided to pull it out in 2015 and everyone decided it was the way to go.  It is the kale of online thinkpieces.

It's just lying regardless of the believability of the lie.

What does gaslight mean?  I have heard that term used a bunch but in different ways with no consistent meaning.

It’s comes from this movie, which is based on a play.  I watched it yesterday.  Good not great movie.

Republicans, a few anyway, are condemning Trump's tweet in the mildest of terms.

Susan Collins can jump into a wood chipper, the phony pos.

Lulz at the stupidity of "but how do we know which are the progressive congresswomen feuding with Pelosi that Trump was talking about???"  Imagine how dumb you would have to be for that thought to cross your mind and think "I got 'em!"

Although we are talking about the same moron who lavished praise on Trump for slaying the payday loan industry, when it was actually Obama's policy that Trump was in the process of destroying.

I agree with you there and think what you're saying is fair. But the original point whoever was making is that supporting Trump is anti-Christian (true) and to that end it's astonishing that the majority of Christians support Trump (also true).

Nope.  I'm sorry, but the numbers just don't support the 2nd assertion.  The graphs linked above show 50% of Protestants and 36% of Catholics approve of Trump's presidency.  Weigh those by their total census and we find that 45% of "Christians" support Trump.  (I don't know where Mormons fall on this spectrum, both in terms of inclusion in the numbers or their "Christianity", and I sure don't want to argue about the latter.)

We've beaten this to death.  I just don't think it's as bad as some would make it out to be within Christian denominations.  Now, VOCAL support?  That's something else, and cause for concern, but that's just a gut feel.  I don't know the statistics.

Can someone make a super cyan torbush gif for all things EMAW?

You realize that there are other Christian faiths besides Protestant and Catholic, right?

He didn't give names or physical descriptions.  Yeah, so no idea who he could be talking about.  May also want to check on his follow-up tweets.  And then you follow-up with a poll identifying those Congresswomen?  Negged.

Large enough to sway the US numbers?

Shrug. I don't care enough to look at the numbers.

But why don't you re-do your weighted average when you look at whites only? Because that's the contention of mine that you took issue with.

Spoiler: It's >50%.

Completely tangential but a few years ago I had a god fearing baptist woman balk at holding a meeting at a Catholic Church facility because it isn’t a Christian church.

i said this in the initial post and i think it is true even with all yall's arguing:  Christianity doesn't seem to be predictive of Trump support/opposition for any group other than White Evangelicals, where it is SUPER predictive.  So all arguments are dependent on whether that group is included.

We're gonna win the Anal Retentive Award for the day.  I get your point, you get mine -- both valid.  Ultimately, we agree that the numbers are sad.

Is that real?  Alcaida?  Also, if real, weird how the underlined parts in no way resemble trigger words that someone made sure he needed to say in order to rile up certain people.  It's all very normal.

Statute of Liberty:  "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore, Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

They helped feed the GOP losses in 2018.   There’s no way the Dems, as incompetent as they are, won’t make these tweets part of their campaign next year.

Just think about this--

The President of the United States in the year 2019 just told sitting Congresspersons who are Americans to go back to the country they came from.

Just sit there and think about that for a minute.

Trump doesn't know how to pronounce Al Qaeda. It has to spelled out phonetically.

did you not see his notes from something in the rose garden a few weeks ago?  a lot more marker usage and a litany of spelling issues.

Any anytime he says "many, many" in regards to anything is a clear indication he's lying.

Also any time he is talking is a sure sign.

"People tell me" = "I'm making this up"

"You'll find out" = "I have no clue"

Of course, anytime his lips are moving there's a good chance he's lying.

“As you know, in accordance with long-standing, bipartisan precedent, Ms. Conway cannot be compelled to testify before Congress with respect to matters related to her service as a senior adviser to the President,” wrote White House counsel Pat Cipollone in a Monday letter to the panel.

He added: “Because of this constitutional immunity, and in order to protect the prerogatives of the Office of the President, the President has directed Ms. Conway not to appear at the Committee's scheduled hearing . . . The long-standing principle of immunity for senior advisers to the President is firmly rooted in the Constitution's separation of powers and protects the core functions of the presidency.”

We, Congress, are the face of the people of the United States. We are the elected representatives of all citizens. It is not me, [Name], you insult. You insult the people of the United States. You dismiss their interests. You ignore their right to see into the actions of their government.

I can take petty gestures in stride. As the representative of the people of my district and part of a body that represents all the people, such insult is unacceptable and will not go unanswered.

Ms. Conway, Mr. Barr, and all the other members of the president's circle are now in contempt of Congress. Contempt of the people. Contempt of the law. Contempt of the institutions that they are sworn to protect.

Congress will end funding of White House staff salaries going to those who refuse to appear. Congress will halt funding of presidential trips to play golf. Congress will make illegal any payment to a Trump owned commercial property. Congress will use every legal avenue to halt the flaunting of Congressional authority.
