I have excite for tomorrow.  I can't wait to lay on the sofa and watch golf while the rug rat complains to me about not watching Mickey Mouse.

You have more strength than I. I've lost the last two afternoons to Bubble Guppies.

DVR is my savior.

wife is taking BGS jr to an indoor gym/rock climbing/inflatables place with a couple buddies after lunch and won't return until dinner when she shows up with some sushi and ramen.  she may make an appearance in the "wives" thread from time to time, but overall i married up.

Rain and cooler tomorrow. Expect bubba and Dustin to out power the competition. JT may be able to move up, expect Jordan to slide and reed to stay close to the same.

Prediction

Dustin 69

Bubba 69

Jordan 73

Reed 74

JT 71

My sportsbook has the over/under 3rd round score for Spieth, McElroy, Thomas, Fowler, and Johnson each at 71.5

I respectfully disagree.

I think Spieth bounces back in a big way. I see the other Johnson making a move, although currently sitting at E, Zach’s probably too far back to have a chance to win

Reed started his college golf career at the University of Georgia in 2008–09. After issues that resulted in his expulsion he enrolled at Augusta State University, where he majored in business. He helped lead Augusta State to NCAA Division I Golf Championship in 2010 and 2011.

"Issues".... Yeah. Issues.

Csb.. He stayed at my buddies place in Palm desert for the hope his 1st or 2nd year on tour.  Couldn't have been a bigger cunt. /Csb

Maybe he's lightened up.  Helluva round today but I hope he trips on his dick.

Red, orange, yellow, green, purple, blue, white....

i feel like it’s been stuck in my head more often than not over the last two months.

And why the fuck did they switch purple and blue?

One of the guys I went to the practice round with has a daughter the same age as mine. We shipped all of the merch we bought at the course back to his house. Somehow I managed to convince my wife that since I need to go pick it up, it would be perfect if the women watched the girls play while he and I watch the masters and drool over all of the stuff we bought.

I think someone like ZJ, or someone else around even can make a run, but it will take Patty Reed and the Aussie coming back a little. They would have to shoot the low number of the day, something like a 66/67, because there is enough traffic in front of them that you know several people in the -3/-4 groupings will shoot at least a 69/70 - unless the weather gets really bad late and the earlier finishers get an advantage.

I see there are an odd number of players that made the cut, so I presume that Jeff Knox gets the phone call to play with Paul Casey today.
If they would actually post scores it would make an interesting prop bet Knox over under 72.5, and who wins Casey v. Knox

I saw a tweet where Vegas had Knox as -140. He’s crazy good out there.

Why did he get kicked out of UGA?

He is a really talented golfer. It is insane how he’s just a huge knucklehead.

1-Placement isn’t that bad but most players will have no angle due to playing away from the fairway bunker.  There will be many long birdie putts from across the green

2-Impossible to get a 2nd shot close.  I think we will see a lot of long bunker shots or players laying up down the right side to get a good angle.

3-Impossible pin,  everyone will be laying up to get as much spin and the green will run away, good luck.

4-Hahaha good luck, front bunker should see a lot of work

5-Depending on how high over the ridge the pin is located you could see some decent scores here.  There will also be a ton of long putts going up the 4-5ft slope

6-This is the pin that Tiger hit a 30 yard hook to get close to about 6-7 years ago.  Outside of that it’s pretty much impossible.

7-I am not the most familiar with this green and the placement looks pretty tame compared to the others.

8-Not the most difficult, but the second shot has to be hooked.  With the pin on the right, ang eagle attempt will be from a lucky bounce off the mounds (which could also leave you with an impossible pitch) or from a long way away on the other side of the green.

9-You can get a straight putt if you are pin high, or you can leave the ball a yard bellow the hole and have it run back down the slope for a 50 footer.

10-You are going to have to take on the bunker to get it close.  If you end up in the bunker you will have a 25+ft par putt.

11-Might as well consider this a par 5 and play out to the right.  Try to get up and down and run away with your 4.  I do see this as a potential hole that the lefties could have an advantage on.  A cut to the right may have a chance of getting close.

12-Center of the green of front bunker is the play here.  Get out with your 3 and you’ll pick up something on the field. Another left handed advantage hole.

13-Easiest location for safety on this green.  Take on the flag and you will most likely end up down the slope with a long uphill eagle putt.  Miss a little long and you are chipping down that slope and have a 30 ft uphill birdie putt.  Another left handed special.

14-Barely on the green.  Not the worst place possible but the slope will take everything away from the hole.

15-I actually think this is one that isn’t too difficult.  Don’t miss right and you should have a decent eagle/birdie chance.  Righties finally get an advantage here.  This could play as the easiest hole on the course today.

16-Much like 4...hahahaha good luck!  It may not be as difficult as yesterday, but you can bring more trouble into play going for it today.  Lots of long putts and bunker shots here.

17-Not bad, center of the green should give you a chance.

18-Another bit of a breather after the beating you took all day. Get the ball on the proper level and you should have a good look.  Leave it short though and you get the fun of finishing with a 35ft putt up over a ridge!

Patience and distance control are going to be even more important than usual today. I see someone like Stenson having a good day.  Hope that Jordan can get it together and make another run.  Should be fun today.

Tiger and Phil struggling early

I wonder how much seeing each other fuck up causes them to fuck up?  It's certainly not an outing I would imagine each is looking forward to.

Reed was accused of cheating on the golf course.....and stealing cash from at least one teammates locker. After he xfered to Augusta state....he was accused of similar shit.

And then the team at Augusta state voted unanimously to kick him off so the coach.... Decided to suspend him for two tournaments. Worked out for the coach. They won a pair of national titles and he got a sweet gig at his Alma mater, SMU.

Few short years later and they were on suspension with the coach fired for cheating and dechambeau couldn't defend his national title because of a post season ban on the men's golf team.
