  3. Here's the difference between the left and the right, EMAW. If Bill Clinton or George S or any left politician was involved with Epstein's criminal behavior in any way, virtually all progressives say they should go down. Contrast that to yourself and other alt-right shitstains who would defend Trump if he were on video fucking Ivanka, because Hillary! Long walk, short pier, etc. etc. etc.

  6. This may be the dumbest post I’ve seen all day. I mean, do you even read this thread?! This is way worse than getting no commit at all. Universally revered scout, dbeasy, has declared he’s not excited about the Dajon commitment, grm248 knows he’ll be completely misused by the staff and have no success, just like every other slot receiver who’s played in our offense, and even motherfucking Rudinger put in the blood, sweat, and tears to look up his 247 composite rating and has declared he’s no good. All we’re waiting for now is markstanco to come in here and opine that he’s belongs at K State-level and then we’ll have our final confirmation that Harrison is a surefire waste of a scholarship.

  7. You can’t be this obtuse. And are you referring to Marquez Beason for Christ’s sake? He didn’t go to Illinois over in state schools, he went to Illinois because like you, he can’t fucking read. Yes, top talent leaves Texas to attend out of state schools every year, but if they do, it’s to Alabama or Ohio State, and if someone does go to Illinois, that means there is major non football related reason. It’s not because they really connected with their position coach you naive puppy. In the analogy you had trouble with, I was comparing the regional power of Penn State to the regional power of Texas. I was also comparing the conference changing SEC East slump buster South Carolina to the conference changing SEC West cum dumpster A&M. They win 7-8 games a year. They hire former national championship head coaches. Before your hurt yourself thinking again, I’m not referring to Will Muschamp. There really are a lot of similarities, including the racism.

  10. Obligatory link to the Taylor testimony and key excerpts here, and notable highlights from key excerpts below: Rudy Giuliani, Ambassador Gordon Sondland, Secretary of Energy Rick Perry, and Ambassador Kurt Volker operated “an irregular, informal channel of U.S. policymaking with respect to Ukraine.” (Page 23-24) During a meeting on May 23, 2019, President Trump made clear to those in the “irregular channel” that, in order for President Zelensky to get an Oval Office meeting, “they needed to work with Rudy Giuliani.” (Page 24, 59, 113) As Ambassador Sondland was preparing for a call between President Trump and President Zelensky on June 28, 2019, he “cut out” the regular interagency participants and “requested that the call not be transcribed.” (Page 126-128, 128) In July, Ambassador Volker advised President Zelensky and his Chief of Staff “how President Zelensky could prepare for the phone call with President Trump” and “suggested to President Zelensky that President Trump would like to hear about the investigations.” (Page 64-66) National Security Advisor John Bolton abruptly ended a meeting with Ukrainian officials on July 10, 2019, after Ambassador Sondland raised “investigations,” which “triggered Ambassador Bolton’s antenna, political antenna, and he said, we don’t do politics here.” (Page 163-164) Ambassadors Volker and Sondland told Ambassador Taylor that President Trump “wanted to hear from Zelensky” before a meeting would be scheduled in the Oval Office. (Page 125-126) Ambassador Sondland explicitly “connected ‘investigations’ with an Oval Office meeting for President Zelensky” during the meeting with Ukrainian officials on July 10, 2019. (Page 133-134) Ukrainian official “believed that opening those investigations, in particular on Burisma, would have involved Ukraine in the 2020 election campaign.” (Page 135-136) On July 18, 2019, Ambassador Taylor and others “sat in astonishment” as an OMB official revealed during an inter-agency call that President Trump ordered a hold on military assistance to help Ukraine counter Russian aggression. (Page 27-28, 131) Both the military assistance to Ukraine and the White House meeting with the President “got blocked by this second channel.” (Page 150) It was the “unanimous opinion of every level of interagency discussion” that the security assistance should be resumed “without delay.” (Page 132) President Trump told Ambassador Sondland that “he wants President Zelensky to state publicly that Ukraine will investigate Burisma and alleged Ukrainian interference in the 2016 election.” (Page 35-36, 141-142, 36-37) According to National Security Council Senior Director Tim Morrison’s readout to Ambassador Taylor, President Trump insisted on a September 7th call with Ambassador Sondland that the President of Ukraine “go to a microphone and say he is opening investigations of Biden and 2016 election interference.” (Page 38) The next day, Ambassador Sondland told Ambassador Taylor directly that “President Trump was adamant that President Zelensky himself had to clear things up and do it in public,” and “if President Zelensky did not clear things up in public, we would be at a stalemate.” (Page 39) Ambassador Sondland and Ambassador Volker understood that “if President Trump was going to sign the check for military assistance,” the Ukrainians “needed to pay up first and that pay-up was a public declaration of these two political investigations.” (Page 146-147) It would be a “nightmare” if the Trump Administration withheld military aid after the Ukrainians announced the investigations because the “Russians are paying attention to how much support the Americans are going to provide the Ukrainians,” and that “humiliation” would “give the Russians a freer hand, and I would quit.” (Page 209-210) On September 28, 2019, John Bolton suggested that Ambassador Taylor write a “firstperson cable” directly to Secretary Pompeo about President Trump’s hold on aid to Ukraine “to get attention back there.” (Page 229-230) The State Department refused to produce to the Committees documents that Ambassador Taylor provided to the Department. (Page 45-46) This is pretty fucking serious shit, corroborated by paper trails, and I would argue shows an understanding that what they are doing is wrong by the fact they went out of their way to hide their actions, and pompeo/state dept failed to provide documents that Taylor did provide. This is worse than quid pro quo. This is a textbook example of extortion.

  14. I think it goes further than that. I grew up in a podank west Texas town in the 70s and 80s. All the kids were helping their dad’s put in fence posts, shear sheep and the like. My parents were divorced, and I lived with my mom. She read a time magazine article about the future of computing and decided to send me to a two week computer camp at Trinity university the summer before my 7th grade year. I learned the basics of programming and developed a huge curiosity for hacking. Mom bought me an Apple IIc and we were the only people in my hometown that had a personal computer. I still hunted and fished and was otherwise connected to those other kids, but a little nerd’s seed had been planted inside me (go ahead, make your jokes). Fast forward 35 years or so and I’m a software engineer with 20+ years of experience making a damn fine salary. I’ve never been laid off and anytime I’ve wanted a new gig, I’ve had multiple offers within the week of putting out feelers. The other kids I grew up with, the ones helping their dad’s on the ranch, are by and large struggling paycheck-to-paycheck working in the oil fields. Not all, but by far most. Not sure what that means other than if my mom hadn’t exposed me to computers and programming — something completely foreign to the rural environment I grew up in — I would most likely be one of those guys toiling at the oil fields, embarrassed of the shitty trailer my kids call home, wondering wtf I am going to do to make a living in the next 5-10 years when my body starts physically breaking down. I’d probably be buying lottery tickets and voting for Trump, hoping against hope that one might deliver.

  15. i've told the story on the various pages before. with some friends of mine i went to a movie up in dallas at the grand theater off northwest highway, which was then all the rage because it had stadium seating. anyways, because it was popular, we figured we would park in the back of the theater. buddy parks the car, and i get out. there were three girls with us. as i get out of the car, i see what looks like a trash bag hanging out of a car. as i approached, it became apparent that it was the body of a girl, not a trash bag, and there was a substantial pool of blood around her head. i remember the blood vividly, because it really looked like it does in the movies. anyways, we hustle to the front, my buddy looks for security, and i call 911 from a payphone (!! it was 1997), and tell the police that i've found some dead bodies in the back. at this point, i'm split up from my friends, but we all ended up behind the theater in different cop cars to give our stories. the scene was more graphic than i originally saw, as there was blood all over the windshield. apparently, police knew of criminal activity and were running some undercover operation. when the perps peeled out of the parking lot, an unmarked vehicle started following them. when my 911 hit dispatch, the unmarked car lit them up, pulled them over, and found the gun and possessions of the dead girls (there was another in the passenger seat i did not see) in the car. had we arrived two minutes earlier, it might have been us that was robbed. since i was the one to dial 911, the prosecution thought i would be a good candidate to set the scene. so i flew back up to dallas (i was at texas at the time) they put me up in a hotel, and prepped me for the trial. it was simple - just tell the story of what happened, and what i saw. they told me they were going for execution. the defendant sat there pretty emotionless when i was called. his public attorney dozed throughout my testimony. that's always stuck with me through the years as well. i mean, the guy was guilty, but still deserved at least counsel who paid attention at trial. i was not cross examined, and i left. he was put to death in 2006. http://www.clarkprosecutor.org/html/death/US/hughes1013.htm

  16. Speaking as one who lives rural, fuck them, fuck them all. Let them die in their trailer parks and their shity little 4 acre ranchitos, clinging to their guns and driving their pickups they can't afford to the Walmarts to buy plastic shit from China. My broadband is federally subsidized because I live in a rural area. Until they stop bitching about welfare queens and the nanny state, that shit needs to stop. Any federal investments in local education will be spent on the football team. Fuck them all. They are a waste of land, water, oxygen. They need to shut up, die, or move.

  20. So I decided to try and get a sunset shot of it coming in through the Eureka junction (where the old MKT yard is). Schedule said 7PM, but it got there around 5:15. I knew I wouldn't be the only one and when I pulled up there was about 15 people and by the time Big Boy rolled through, probably 40 and a helicopter overhead. Right as it was about to make the turn to head SE towards Washington Ave., another train coming from the other direction pulling a bunch of rock cars approached. You could hear everyone freaking out that it was going to block the view of Big Boy, but it cleared out just as it made the turn. I had hoped it would have passed by after the sun dipped below the trees as I knew this angle would be hard to shoot. I didn't get that lucky, so I am not really happy with my photos. But really, the shot I want will be on Friday and I hope that it works out AND there is a ton of steam coming out of the engine. Anyways, here are a few of the shots.

  21. What's better than one dead pedo? A hundred of them. The hope was that the authorities could get more information on the alleged international trafficking ring from Epstein. The realization that he was never going to be allowed to speak has pissed some people off, and rightly so. There are a whole lot of wealthy, powerful, and influential people out there breathing a huge sigh of relief knowing he is dead and their secrets are still safe, and that sucks.

  25. The only way this group would have any authority over who sits where is if the university approves/sanctions it. Which means that they are backed by the university and aren't just some rogue 28 member group with no authority. What they're doing is happening because the school gives them that authority. Fuck Alabama. Actually fuck the entire gulf coast from the Atlantic Ocean to the Louisiana/Texas border, with the exception of New Orleans. The absolute worst area of our country and a national embarrassment.

  27. While Stunns's post was definitely a cliche-a-palooza, it's ok to be happy we got a commit and to look at what he does well and how he'd fit in our offense without dumping on people for it. The football board's already exhausting enough with the relentless negativity.

  29. Texas is a really interesting deal. About two-thirds of the state's population lives in the big four metros: DFW, HOU, SA, & ATX. On top of that, I think roughly 80 percent overall live in urban areas and yet we still self-identify with the myth of being a frontier cowboy state. I had an argument on Facebook (the preface to most stupid stories these days) with a former classmate still living in my West Texas hometown. He actually said my "Austin values" don't reflect those of most Texans, and I had to explain to him that Travis County, alone, whose population is 1.25 million is about the same as all of the West Texas region (minus El Paso, which they don't claim anyway) that encompasses Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland/Odessa, San Angelo, Abilene, and all points in between. Fuck you. My Texas is just as much Texas as your Texas.
