But remember, Texas' greed and wanting everything on their terms was the real issue with the Big 12 breaking up. The saintly Cornhuskers just wanted things fair for everyone.31 points

I don't care about your politics or who you will vote for in November. If the thought of Nebraska not playing a down of football in 2020, while desperately suing the Big 10 conference, doesn't make you ecstatic, get the furk of this board.20 points

Fuck Todd Orlando. Of course we are going to see Sweat and Coburn together, Ash might be a meathead but he knows bigger/stronger/faster wins 1:1 and isn't going to get in the goddamn way (Looking at you Todd). It's not the 700 pounds of beef that is the real issue - it's that both of them possess incredible lateral quickness at that size. In other words? Put them inside with Ossai and Collins on the ends and ...14 points

It's a strange deal - we need 2-3 more OL in this class but I don't want any of the guys that are currently being targeted and am more than happy to see them go elsewhere. I guess I feel like Texas will eventually get back to the jumbo athlete takes and away from these marginal guys that Hand seems to be defaulting to this year. Guys that don't seem like they'd ever play a down here. It's frustrating as fuck to watch him flail about. I'm glad that Yurcich is starting to spend some cycles on OTs but now that the season is here, his recruiting time is going to be diminished. Jacoby Jackson would be a nice addition. Salvaging this 2021 mess into an OL class of Conner, Cade, Jackson, and Myslinski would be a decent turn of events. In a rolling 3 year view adding a couple of quality depth players (one with NFL potential) and at least 1 sure NFL player between the 2020 and 2022 classes would be a good turn of events from this fumbling. The key there is that the 2022 class is already spinning out of Hand's control again. It's past time to put a full time resource in place to recruit and build relationships for him - just like they did with Drayton.12 points

Well, see, if they'd done that, they wouldn't have had the chance to play tacticool badass HOORAH GIT SOME. So, surely you understand why their way was better. And as for the DNA evidence excluding him for a year, I mean, there's paperwork, and forms. Big hassle, you know.11 points

Prosecutors are trained to win cases. It doesn't matter if the accused is actually the perpetrator as long as a guilty verdict is rendered. Win at all costs. As a public defender, I'm often asked "how can you do your job?" Ignoring for a moment the inherent offensiveness of such a question, it's quite telling that the same question is never asked of prosecutors.10 points

You’re being willfully obtuse. Hookfin was our sixth OL. We’re literally rolling out an OL consisting of 4th yr-3rd-4th-5th-3rd. As in no 1st or second years starting, and having a single second year who’s ahead of schedule playing isn’t a sign of a bad OL room. You also ignored that we have 3 of our top 8 OL out, so a true freshman making it as a backup on a depth chart for the media isn’t meaningful. As for recruiting, we took Cosmi and Kerstetter in a transition class, then 3 4-stars and a JUCO in 2018, plus C. jones who might be the best of the bunch. We took 3 4-stars and a JUCO in 2019 and then 4 4-stars in 2020. Our OL room has talent. You’re just going hyperbolic over 2021 not going well.9 points

Burton literally bringing less than nothing to the fucking table. Just jack shit every football fan fucking knows, and that he'll be eating Cowboy beans. Worthless POS. It's not that he's not putting in any work. If I were worth tens of millions I wouldn't work hard either. But I also wouldn't fucking pretend. Just retire you fat fuck and cash your checks.9 points

We ain't talkin' bout practice anymore. Upperclassmen-laden team, Heisman candidate QB with a first round LT, frighteningly talented DL and DBs. Time for Herman to nut up and win the the Big XII, make the Playoff, and smash up OU's trailer park. We begin by thrashing the worst team in FBS tomorrow. Hook 'em!8 points

Well, did the lake test on the MC and am gonna throw down. I will not argue against any of the criticisms (except the tacking, which was better than my Nautique), as it's not my favorite looking boat, but everything else, given the price, is right in my sweet spot. There were a significant number of upgrades that I wasn't aware of including full WetSounds system with dual subwoofers, touch screen Fusion head unit with additional controls at the wheel and on the aft swim deck, Rev 10 Wetsounds Tower speakers, underwater LED array, cabin LED setup, SeaDek throughout, and a few other items. Power and wake vs. my Nautique wasf far and away superior. Gen 2 surf system, yada yada yada. Oh, and 4 more years on the factory warranty doesn't hurt either. Commitment was made, deal is being done, all that.8 points

I am so grateful we are having a game tomorrow. May all the spectators and participants have a great, Covid free, and injury free time. I hope we can all forget about all the 2020 nonsense and enjoy some UT sports for a few hours8 points

I know this isn't going to be a huge story, and I know why it's not going to be a huge story, but at any time in our history prior to 2017 this would have been an enormous story.8 points

I would not be surprised if this is the beginning of a fictional award that he is actually going to "win." Whether it's covering up the spelling mistake in true Trump administration fashion or to help rally the base (not that that effort needs help), I wouldn't be surprised at all.8 points

What we're saying is that a string of highly unlikely events needs to occur to put JQJ in a position to start. If that happens he might surprise us all as the next VY. For everyone pumping JQJ, why can't he just win the job? You know, beat out the guys in front of him? Why does this unlikely confluence of events need to occur to discover his real skills? If your response is "he's a gamer" or "he's not a practice player", you're fooling yourself into believing something because you're a contrarian. "He's an alpha". Stop. There are three things I trust TH to do well. First, he's built a great player personnel staff and the evals are (almost) all good to great. Second, he seemingly can't lose as an underdog with time to prepare, from smacking around Jimbo in the Peach bowl to Kirby in the Sugar. Finally, QB development. Regardless of skill-set (Barrett/Jones/Burrow/King/Buechele/Ehlinger), they have all achieved a significant college ceiling that they may not have otherwise. So, if Tom trots out Card as the starter, I'm going to trust that he's the best QB in the room. If Tom goes with JQJ, I'm going to trust he's the best QB in the room. It's really that simple.8 points

I mean I do math for a living, very successfully, and as someone who is mostly fiscally conservative I realized about a decade ago that neither party is fiscally conservative. But if I'm voting on those fiscally conservative values, I'll vote for the one that has actually pretended to try to practice conservative financial practices. Certainly not the one that has created trillions and trillions of dollars in deficit spending to, most recently, enrich a bunch of corporations and fight two unwinnable wars in the middle east. But if abortion and not having to bake cakes for the gays are that important to you then yeah, keep voting Republican.5 points
