If you've been following the news, shit is bad. Really bad. There's lots they need, but there's only so much regular folks can do. But here's a thing you can do, and they desperately need it: please donate to their food bank. They are just about out of money and out of food. And the people of El Paso have never needed it more: https://elpasoansfightinghunger.org/donate El Paso is good people, and a lot of them are hard working folks who make enough, but not a lot more than that. And even without accounting for ordered business limitations, because people are taking the COVID surge there seriously, work (and thus pay) is taking a nosedive for a lot of them right now. They need our help. This is what we fucking do, and now is when we fucking do it. So let's help our fellow Texans in their hour of need. I'd sure appreciate it, and they will too.70 points

Alright T-tom. I am going to address this post because I am the best one for the job. I will address it number by number. 1) I am assuming that marginalized group you are talking about is us, Black America. I am sure you remember a little piece of legislature called the Civil Rights Act. Who signed that again? Who pushed for women's rights? Who gave women the right to choose what happens to their bodies? Who pushed for gay rights? Now who has been in opposition of each one of those societal progressions? Conservative Republicans have stood against any progression of all of these groups and you want to sit here and talk about marginalization? Please. What has your group done to help anyone except White Males? 2) For years now your group has been throwing shit at the wall and expecting the media to run with it. You are the political version of Chicken Little, and you wonder why the media has some pause in regards to you. You literally just had the President's personal lawyer put out a story about his opponent 3 weeks before the election, a tactic you did the exact same way, at the exact same time 4 years ago. There are some really intelligent people in the media. They can see it was a smear campaign the same way we can. They also have a responsibility to validate the accusations before pumping it out to millions of people, and allowing your group to effectively steal an election. That time where they are validating a story is called "suppression" amongst the Trump Faithful. 3) Did you just really ask who turns the government agencies against the citizenry? Lol. Trump is attacking immigrants. Trump is attacking Islamics. Trump is sending Feds to deal with protesters. Trump is declaring Anarchist States. Trump is also trying to use the AG as a weapon against his political rivals. Now ask again, who is using the government against the citizenry? 4) The "Democratic Stronghold" bullshit was one of the dumbest things I've heard you say, and proof that you need to hop off the Tucker Carlson, and do your own research. Almost all large cities fall in that category. So if a riot broke out in Houston you could still say the same, since Houston has elected a Dem since 1982. The riots have to do with police treatment of Black people and nothing else. I would like to know the voting tendencies of the officers involved in the shootings, but I am sure we can imagine which way they lean, right Tom? We have a wanna be dictator in office because you Conservative White Males are snowflakes. Unlike the rest of the demographics in this country who have actually experienced some oppression, you guys cannot even wear masks without "feeling oppressed", and trying the kidnap government officials. "Oh, I can't say n**ger, I am being oppressed". "Oh, I can't make disparaging comments without being held accountable, I am being oppressed again". You guys cannot handle a little social change, and it's obvious to us all that's the real reason behind what's causing this Trump movement. You might win THIS election, but rest assured your party is dying. More and more young people are becoming progressives, and when they start voting it's over. Lastly, I will say this. You called the guys here Betas, right? Well, being a big, strong Black Male, I have been propositioned to "tend to" a lot of people's wives over the years, and the guy making the offer was always a conservative White Male.25 points

I personally think this whole thread is hilarious. I love the revisionist history of the Tampa Bay piece, where the guy tries to go back and make Florida fans feel bad that maybe Urban was a piece of shit while he was there too. Guess what, the Florida media treats UF the same as most Texas media treats UT. They know that there are more that hate the university than love it. I was a student at UF during Urbans run, and there was little to no fret of him letting the inmates run the asylum from the fan base. We had Tim Tebow leading the charge, so no one knew about the stuff below the surface with Hernandez or others. We knew Percy was a head case and pot head, but Urban managed to get him on the field when we needed, and scheme around him when he couldn't play (2008 SEC championship). It was never suggested that he was anything less than a stand up coach until he had his medical issues in 2009, when most were just mad that he was leaving so suddenly with such an unusual reason. Since that time, I have watched UF move up the leaderboard on the US News report to pass Texas as one of the best universities in the nation. They have gone through their share of coach turnover, but managed to land on an Urban disciple with a history with Urban during those same years of 'shame' (and also SEC and National Titles). Guess what?!?!? Mullen's wife even strongly considered not letting Mullen take the job because of how mean and demanding all of the Gator fans are. Sound familiar? In that Tampa Bay article, Mullen is getting run over by the same bus they are rolling over Urban because a player had a gun. Josh Moore anyone? Did Mack keep everyone out of jail and choir boy clean? I seem to remember a lot of riff raff, including our stud RB kicking down a door to get back a TV, and another star player with a backpack full of pot. I also love Blotto pointing out how few SEC teams are great schools, when one (UF) is ranked higher than Texas, and UGA is right below. How clean is that Georgia Football prorgram? In the top 30 public list for US News, we also have Ohio State, Florida State, Penn State, Texas A&M and Clemson. Auburn is at 40, and Tennessee is at 52, right before the next Big 12 school in Iowa State (54). So tell me how selling out to be good at football ruins the reputation of your university again? All of you clowns equating hiring Urban Meyer to hiring Art Briles need to stop sniffing paint. The two are not in the same realm of program mismanagement and overall debauchery, and I base that on the fact that Briles is coaching in HS while Urban is considered for this and other top college jobs. If you think the University of Florida Administration and then Athletic Director Jeremy Foley just let Urban close them out of the football program so he could run it his way, you are an absolute idiot. Jeremy Foley is / was one of the best ADs of the time, and he didn't get there by getting run over by his coaches. Same with the University in general. It is exceptional on every level. There are plenty of levels between Ohio State / Alabama / Clemson and the decade long shit show we have put up with here at Texas. To somehow think hiring Urban Meyer is going to be the torpedo that finally sinks our great university is fucking ridiculous.23 points

HR: It says here you have a degree from the University of Texas. Damn shame, at one time it was highly sought after, but then ya'll hired Urban and well, we are going to go a diff direction with a different client, but thank you for your interest. I imagine that is how it will go16 points

Tom has had a late night I see. hey moron, if it were voter suppression they’d probably want it in a red county or area, and not one that predominantly votes democratic. You think they’re suppressing their own votes? Who do you think riots in Houston would benefit? Simple Jack motherfucker, don’t strain something trying to utilize some critical thinking skills. did you read about the guy arrested for egging on the protests in Minnesota, and his buddy who shot cops in Cali, and was arrested in a Texas? Right Wing extremist. Who do you blame for the Whitmer kidnapping attempt? Antifa? I support pretty much all of the constitution and bill of rights. Including the 2nd amendment. Which is why seeing it dismantled by Trump is upsetting. Tell me which specific areas of the constitution you see being trampled by the riots in Philly? you know what else I support? Police regulation like the kind the house passed that is languishing in the senate because it tried to ban choke holds and create a national bad cop database. Because maybe if cops could stop killing black people there’d be less rioting. you are a dumb worthless motherfucker. And you and your ilk are destroying this country because you’re too fucking stupid and ignorant to see anything except what you’re fed by other idiots, you flat earth level moronic dipshit13 points

So, to be clear, your decision to apply a looser standard to the Trumps than the Bidens is that Trump... has a history of corruption and grift that predates his political career, and Joe Biden does not?12 points

15 most populous Texas counties (so the counties have changed from time to time but always the top 15): So early voting wasn't really a thing in 1996. Then in the next two Presidential elections GWB was on the ballot. After the 2004 election, though, look at the incredibly consistent number of Election Day voters even regardless of election type (Presidential, Senatorial, Gubernatorial). It appears that election enthusiasm shows up in the early voting, not in Election Day voting. There will be somewhere around 9.6 million Texas votes after early voting closes today. It seems to me, though, that we should be fairly confident of somewhere around 1.5 million Election Day votes for a final number of a little more than 11 million total votes. [edit] - Oh dammit I fucked that all up. We should have 1.5M Election Day voters in the 15 most populous counties. So roughly 2.2 million in Texas overall, for a final voter turnout in the 11.8 million range.12 points

Tom Herman is a great head coach. In fact he's the most productive Texas head coach you've ever heard of. I can prove it. Under Charlie Strong our average wins per season dropped 46% from the previous head coach. Under Tom Herman our average wins per season has increased 56% from the previous head coach. As you can see, this proves that Tom Herman is the most productive Texas head coach you've ever heard of. Q.E.D. Or, alternatively, TtomTerrific is still a gotdamn fucking moron.11 points

I don't expect you to respond because your MO is to post lies, get called on them, and disappear only to return days or weeks later with new lies. Here's a list of entities that super tough, rugged conservatives have silenced or attempted to silence: The Dixie Chicks The NFL The NBA Lebron James The 1619 Project Nike (conservatives literally burning their own property) Goodyear Tires Macy's (because they stopped carrying Trump's clothing brand) Keuring Coffee makers Taylor Swift Collin Kapernick The President of the United States (I shouldn't have to explain to you why he's held to a different standard than random "woke" twitter personalities) has called for the FIRING of the following people: Dave Weigel, Paul Krugman, Chuck Todd, Joe Lockhart, Chris Cumuo, Joy Reid, Fox News Pollsters, and the entire WSJ editorial board, simply because they were mean to him. Those individuals were then relentlessly attacked and threatened by his supporters. The President, and his sycophantic supporters, have repeatedly said they would like courts to reinterpret the first amendment to make it easier to stifle speech they don't like. You're going to come here and try to lecture people about threats to Freedom of speech? You're either too stupid to understand, or you're intentionally trying to mislead. Either way, take it somewhere else, you fucking clown.9 points

The Hunter Biden stuff is meaningful only in the sense that it highlights our overall corrupt economic and political system. Even though Biden himself is (as far as we know, but is challenged by less-than-reputable sources) basically an ascetic by DC terms, the machine is so constructed that even the ascetic can't be immune to the surrounding current of wealth and power. But we're not in a normal, everyday situation where we can calmly note the background hum of corruption when examining Biden. We're up against Donald God Damned Trump, and in the context of putting it up against Trump? lol it's a gnat's fart in a hurricane It's a joke.8 points
