  1. I have to laugh watching these interviews with dudes after they beat us, all misty eyed and voice cracking with joy and gratitude to the Football Gods. I wanna just grab them, shake ‘em for a second and say simply, “Dude, it’s just not that big of a deal”. Save that shit for when you beat UTSA.

  2. We can still accomplish all our goals!! Sark faced adversity square in the face and we forced overtime and almost beat KU at home. Give him time, he's building something great here. This loss is just a small bump on our road to accomplishing all our goals here. Keep the faith.

Ted Cruz, with that right wing comedy gold we always heard about: Then some repub senators and reps start the heckle from the audience: Stand up Ted tries to keep the room and get a good slam in: Which, of course, fails uncomfortably. Rotten tomatoes start getting thrown at the stage: And then security has to step in and shut down the whole club: Tip your waitresses, everybody. Drive safely.

  9. Beating Texas used to be a big deal because we were traditionally one of the best teams in the country in at least two major sports. Now it's just a big deal because we're rich and big. But now we're like the kid who shows up in $500 shoes, wristbands, headband, and $800 prescription goggles but who can't play worth a shit. So they laugh because they beat the rich kid. They don't laugh because he beat a good rich kid. Beating Texas it simply crapping on the name brand, not beating a power team, or even a good team.

  10. He's good. Our players suck. Just watch that 70 yard sweep. PK calls the exact right play and slants two LBs toward the running lane. Brockemeyer executes the call to the best of his ability, but, completely unhindered by any blockers, gets beaten to the edge by about five yards by the Kansas RB. The thing is, the best of Brockemeyer's ability would be to crush it as an all-American MLB at a school like Trinity, not the University of Texas. A good linebacker, like Keenan Robinson or an Acho brother, snuffs it out for no gain. Someone like Derrick Johnson explodes the play four yards deep. But Brockemeyer? He tried, he really did, but he's slow as Whataburger at 2AM. I felt sorry for him giving his all as he chased that dude for 50 yards, swiping vainly at his jersey as dude got further and further away, before Brockemeyer finally fell over. His whole story is sad on many levels. A legacy effectively sent their special needs kid to us and their gifted and talented ones somewhere else.

  12. Nah fuck that. That bitch lied about too much stuff, never took responsibility and straight up blamed players for losses at press conferences. just cause I’m pissed about Sark doesn’t mean I want Herman back. I still wanted his ass gone.

  16. Okay, but how's he gonna get his players to come to a 5-7 or 6-6 train wreck that's being mocked in the national media? This is a fucking disaster and Sark should be gone by 10 am tomorrow. And I never said that about Herman or Charlie -- not in year 1. But circumstances are different now. This season has been so bad that it can't help but kill recruiting, and we can't go into the SEC like this or we might never recover. The next couple of years are pivotal for us and could affect the next decade, or longer. And I know we always hear things like, "You can't fire a coach that fast, because no good coach will want to come here thinking he'll have such a short leash." Okay, fine, but you can't keep giving the wrong coach three or four years or no good coach will want to come here because you've shown that you don't actually give a shit about winning. That goes for recruits, too. Sark's gotta go. Now. December at the latest.

  20. ok, wow. just got caught up on this shmashmortion of a thread. the Texas fans in this thread put on a performance on par with our football team tonight. •we have no size, we have no chemistry, it's our second game together, Disu is out, and we're playing against the best team and best player in the country, on the road in a hostile environment, and before the game it's all, "We're going to win!" "Texas wins 88-83!" "I'm going to wager money on Texas!" •fast forward like 15 minutes and you guys are all like, "we suck! the fuck is this?" •you incessantly shit on Timme, who is awesome •one if you actually tried to shit on him as a player, which is insane •you shit on Holmgren, who is going to be awesome •you guys argue with each other for a page and half •you don't know who Fran Fraschilla is •you realize we aren't as good as you wanted us to be and you're all upset about it i think pancho, hobbes, and ztejas were the only three voices of reason that i remember seeing throughout these four pages. having realistic expectations and knowing what you're talking about (or at least knowing that you don't know what's what) makes your game day experience so much better. anyone who expected this team to truly compete tonight was completely delusional and likely uninformed. that is the last team in the country that we are going to beat in a November road game like this, and being upset about this game tonight is dumb. im happy with how this game went. i love how easily Timme was able to score on us as if our guys weren't even there. i love how Gonzaga just lulled their way to a 14-15 point lead and then never let us back in the game. this is all very good stuff for our team to learn and grow from. we have the weakest non-con schedule i can remember us having in decades, so thank god for Gonzaga being there to show us what's what. we now get a month and half to go jell, and grow, and earn that chemistry that we were so clearly lacking tonight. of our next 11 games, only Stanford and Seton Hall should really have any chance of beating us. we get the next 10 weeks to learn and grow against inferior foes all the way up until the new year when conference plays begins. tonight we were hesitant, we were disjointed, we lacked aggression, and we just straight up got beaten by a better team that wasn't even worried about us. let's see how improved we are in all of those areas by the time we host WVU on New Year's Day; where we are when we go to Lubbock on February 1st; where we are when we end the regular season with Baylor and KU back to back. this is a process. you don't just throw a bunch of transfers together and then immediately go beat Gonzaga in Spokane. it's about enjoying the growth of this team as the season goes on. it's about learning from tonight, and using tonight's performance as a benchmark for where we are on November 13th, vs where we are heading into the tourney. tonight was perfect, with all the Horns down from the fans, all of the Timme celebrating and gloating, the dominant nature of the Zags' win. i guarantee you this team will be so much better down the road after having gone through this. they won't forget getting whooped like they did tonight- down to a man they're all spent the entire offseason saying that they don't care about minutes, that they all came here to win. we now know how much better we need to be to get there. tonight was a good thing. settle down and enjoy the ride.

  21. What the basic fan doesn’t get is most recruits go where they trust the coaches and have the best relationships. Why did Ewers decommit from Texas? Simple, he hated Herman. These loses don’t affect most of these kids. They want to play here and they want to be the ones who bring Texas back. Some of these kids are simply using the process to create their “brand”. Some love the process and having their ego stroked every day from the best coaches in the country. We will get: Campbell Stewart Harris We will get 2 of Williams, Banks, Umeozulu, Agbo The other guys were never coming here. Perkins & Dewberry are front runners and don’t want to be a part of the process. The portal will see 10-15 leave and replacements brought in to fit the systems. This year has been a ball kick but it’s part of the process. When we are winning everyone will chill out and stop acting like a bunch of Karen’s demanding to speak to the manager.

  22. Casey is now the only quarterback in Texas history with three or more games at 5+ passing touchdowns. While we suck all of the epic dick in the world Sark is managed to turn this guy into a record holder with one wide receiver, zero offense of line and a dog shit supporting cast. it would be nice if Any quarterback saw this and think to themselves if Cacey fucking Thompson can sling it and I’m better than he is give me a shot

  26. Sark found a way to score 49 on Kansas with a dinged up QB1, WR1, no WR 2 or 3, losing RB1, RB3 & RB4, and playing an injured RB2. I think offensively we will be fine (especially if he could get a lineman or two in). The issue is we gave up 49 to KU in regulation. A half competent D, and we win this going away. Sark can save his job and create a legacy with a Coach Boom type D Coordinator hire.

  29. I'm seriously wondering if some people on this thread have ever played organized sports or even coached little league. Do you "its the players" chuckle fucks have any idea what coaches are supposed to do? It's not just some video game where you pick the right play off the call sheet and press X and robot players do exactly what they are told. If the players don't trust that you are going to put them in the best position to succeed, they play slow, uncertain, not sure what to do, they're out of position, they fuck up and make mistakes, and they lose trust in themselves and the coaches, and it's a vicious cycle. You can cycle through as many hand picked portal guys as you want and you'll still have the same problem.

  30. I have nothing to add. Except the fact that if we were like some ancient cultures that valued honor, a number of coaches and players would no longer be with us, having already consumed a lethal amount of poison or gutted themselves with a short sword late last night. This program is as broken as it’s ever been, and I see no path to recovery.

  40. Oh hey, I forgot to apologize when this was active awhile back. I was busy recording and deleting the last 5 games. Takes time. And then I had to cancel all those flights, hotel rooms and rental cars for the games I planned on attending. Only so many hours in the day. Anyway, I'm sorry for emotionally investing too much in your success. You don't deserve that kind of pressure. I mean, you didn't ask for it. I did it myself. Started when I was a kid watching your games with my grandmother. But how could you know that? BTW she's dead now. She was a real saint...... You know what, FUCK YOU for bringing her into this! I ought to kick your fucking ass for bringing her into this you cocksu----whoah whoah whoah. Not sure what got into me. My bad. Let's get back to business, the apology. I apologize for placing such lofty expectations on you. I promise it won't happen again. You may blissfully move forward on your journey of mediocrity, without the mighty burden of my expectations on your shoulders. But if you bring up Mema again I'll come for you motherfucker. Sorry, didn't mean that.

  41. I would ask the same of your tiresome ass. I played in a HS program that changed coaches and systems and we sucked even more than we would have with what little talent we had because every coaching change instantly renders every player out of position. "Oh, you think you know how to play linebacker, don't ya? Well you don't. Here's how you play linebacker." And so on at every position. And in college sports every coaching change brings in another transition class of recruits. Meaning dozens of JAGs taking up schollies. For fuck's sake, there are exactly two guys on this roster with obvious NFL talent. I think some is hidden -- Alfred Collins, for example. He was recruited to play one position and now he is wasted in PK's D taking up blockers when he should be caving in the edge in a four man front. And it's not just that our talent is kinda subpar. It's way, way subpar. See Luke Brockemeyer trying to set the edge on that 70 yard sweep. He diagnosed the play correctly and did his best but he's a linebacker who maaaayyyybeeee runs a 4.9. I felt sorry for him there -- he hustled all the way down the field hopelessly swiping at that dude's jersey, but he is just too slow. Dusty Renfro II, Electric Fuck You for thinking it's the coaches. We've got your dropped passes -- more on the WRs than the QBs -- on wide open routes schemed by the fucking coaches. We've got an LT incapable of handling a 220-pound edge guy, and nobody better behind him. We've got hippie Blake Gideon out there dropping game-sealing picks. The roster is a shitshow. And you know what? Barring some kind of portal miracle, next year it's going to be worse. And because "We're TEXAS" Sark will probably be fired, and we will have another transition class, WHILE HEADING INTO THE SEC, and if you think the mockery of your friends and co-workers now is bad, just wait until we go 2-8 in conference or some shit. Don't worry though, your enemies will lose interest after two or three years, maybe even start to pity you. And then I go and look at the resume of Lance Leipold. It's impressive. He dominated the shit out of everything at Wisconsin-Whitewater. Buffalo took a chance on him and his first season was mediocre. His second season was fucking horrific. 2-10. He needed both of those years to demonstrate how his system worked, and after that shit steadily improved until he got a chance at shitty p5 school, one that has now scared the beejesus out of one blueblood and defeated another. We would never hire a guy like him, and if we did, we would not tolerate a 2-10 season. We live in this bubble where we think we are entitled to greatness. We are not. We have to earn it like everyone else, and the flighty pussiness of some of y'all is embarrassing to me as a Texan and a man. I know Greenspoint gets a lot of shit for panicking early in ballgames and its justifiable. But you hysterical bitches are just as bad, if not worse, for wanting to pull the plug on coaching regimes before they can even begin to implement what needs to be done here.

  42. We’re visiting Germany next month, and we’re being hopeful that restrictions where we’ll be end up at just what they call the 2G level - negative test won’t do it, you have to show proof of vaccination or recovery. Because they are experiencing their delta surge, and it’s EXACTLY like ours was: driven by the unvaccinated, who are most heavily concentrated in their version of “Trumpy red states.” “The German rate lags because of pockets of vaccine resistance that are not limited to, but especially deep, in the former Communist east, where the far-right Alternative for Germany party is strong. Tino Chrupalla and Alice Weidel, leaders of the AfD’s parliamentary group, are both proudly unvaccinated — and both tested positive for the virus in recent weeks. “What we are experiencing is above all a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” the minister of health, Jens Spahn, said earlier this month. Infections have also spiked in parts of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, two wealthy southern states that are home to a noisy protest movement against measures to combat the virus, known as the “Querdenker,” or “contrarians.”” AfD and the GQP are functionally the same party: anti-immigrant proto-fascist conspiracy theory-indulging assholes. That this philosophy is not just a fringe, but is large enough to materially influence world events (and for fuck’s sake, win the US Presidency at least once, and probably again in 2024) is going to fucking kill us. And at the very least, they make life shitty for the rest of us. I fucking hate them. I hate them all. I don’t give a fuck about understand them, or showing empathy, or any of that shit. They are petulant, selfish, cruel, stupid and ignorant shitstains, and they are enemies of decent civilization. Every moment we DON’T treat them like that is another moment lost, another moment where we go backwards instead of forwards.
