  1. I've become more conservative in a traditional sense as I've aged, but I'm vehemently opposed to the Republican party. They're just quasi-Fascists at this point that want to turn America into a Christian theocracy with an unelected government that they control.

  6. Takes me back to a pre game show, around the time the Astros clinched the #1 seed. Dusty and Ford, dusty talked about trying to get as many bats as possible ‘hot’ for the playoffs (including bench guys), and the same with the bullpen. The Entire season they will both be up and down, but end of sept / playoffs you need as many going as possible. Then Ford said something like ‘what about the defense being playoff reedy?’. Dusty - there’s no up and down for defense. Defense should never dip, from the field to the bench. It’s ok to be in a hitting slump during the season, but defense should never slump. (adlib, memory) what mancini did last night, cold and off the bench was the play of the year. He’s in a horrible slump and saved the game with his glove and quick reflexes, on a rocket none the less. He jumped in on a short notice and fucking manned up. That’s a pro ball player

  7. Their culture is the problem. False bravado and braggadocio is their culture. Extending guys nobody else even wants while bragging about their achievements is their culture. They don’t have an offense or defense problem, they have a culture problem. Same as it ever was. It was ok in 1993, when the internet didn’t give them all a worldwide reach, but the idiots have escaped the village. And it really isn’t even the white, rural culture that’s the issue. Players will overlook that if the money is right, just like they did in the Sherrill/Slocum years. The tradition, made up legends, and inability to change are a huge problem, but it’s the incessant bravado, lies, and the inability to just fucking shut up. They’re the loudest fan base in America, yet they have the least to talk about. They don’t do anything half-ass, which is why they always fail spectacularly. Last spring, they were strutting around screaming for everyone to look at them. They got Saban’s attention and now everyone is looking at them…and it isn’t going well.

  8. I DON"T LIKE CHANGE! *votes for a party that continually changes tax laws to benefit the wealthy, loosens gun laws, wants to eliminate the social safety net, and loosens regulation so that more of the bad externalities of society fall on poors* it'd be one thing if the republican party were a party of, "hey we seem to be in a good place right now let's not tinker around too much." but they're not and nothing illustrates that better than the bush tax cuts. handed a surplus and a system where revenue was enough of a match for spending that debt/gdp would generally decrease, they promptly blew a hole in the deficit and have set us on this path of trillion dollar deficits. which republicans bitch about incessantly. to them, the house is on fire but they never take responsibility as the guys who poured gasoline all over the place and then lit the match.

  13. People used to get more conservative as they got older because they would get more concerned about their money and keeping as much as they could. That was during times when social issues were trending in a progressive direction. Abortion was legal, voting wasn’t being suppressed and queer rights were becoming a reality. It was okay to vote R because the crazy anti-black and anti-queer snake handlers were a small portion of the party. Now they are the majority and want to turn back the clock to 1950. They want to say the N word and force women to carry babies while restricting voting by non whites. If you’re still trending more conservative as you get older now, because you are want to keep a little bit more of your nest egg due to lower taxes, you’re a certified piece of shit and everyone knows it

  15. If you’re lazy and stop thinking as you age succumbing to the conspiracy theory moment does become more of a risk as you move into senility that’s true. And if you’re looking to make a quick buck taking advantage of the olds has been around almost as long as the world’s oldest profession. hint: being conservative and shoveling today’s right wing hot garbage are two entirely different things.

  17. What world do you live in where you think there’s a line of horned up masculine boys in high school and junior high begging to come out to their peers as Trans so they can go in bathrooms and assault your daughter? You don’t remember how ruthless teenage boys are to each other during that age. That’s why people are trying to connect the dots with you about Trans youth and suicide. Those same daughters you want to protect from sexual assault, you then cast aside when protecting their attackers right to claim his child’s birth mother through force.

  20. I don't really understand this. I'm a much bigger Longhorn fan than anything else (Astros really the only pro team I care much about) but how is a 5-3 team in a regular season game versus Game 6 of the World Series a tough decision if you care about the Astros? God invented the DVR for a reason.

Lots of sights to see like: building that is gray, more boxy looking building that is gray, sensitive grass that cannot be trod upon, dead dog graveyard, gigantic cock ring sculpture, racist statue #1, racist statue #2, giant field of mud featuring unimpressive obelisk/clock tower, and many many others. Stop by the Dixie Chicken for shitty wings and a trip to BCS’s oldest and busiest gloryhole then ride out on Hwy 6 on a cloud of aggy spirit
