  1. As an over 50 male with four jabs, I sit here having never had COVID and never developed anything other than a sore arm for a day with each shot. Maybe some of you are just weak pussies. When you find yourself on the same side of a complex argument as Helobious and Vic, it might be time to reassess your critical thinking skills. First, ask yourself if your opinion is based on a lifetime of education and knowledge, or what some cheeto fingered moron wrote on the internet while he was scratching his butthole. If you're anti-vax, I can guarantee you it's the latter. My best wishes to @Spankytoes for your ordeal and ongoing recovery. Thankfully, you had the sense to get two jabs. Factual data would posit that without doing so, you would likely be worm food now. We will all die at various times in our lives for various reasons, many of them called "tragic" because we like to pretend we have a right grow old. Our inherent selfishness creates grand conspiracies and mythical afterlifes to rationalize the coming snuff. There is no shadowy cabal scheming to put you, rando internet poster jackass, into the ground. None of us matter enough for that effort. It's not Hollywood, it's life. And it will end without exception and without mercy. That's not a conspiracy, that's an inevitability.

  2. Yeah no way are studies ever biased... You can pay anyone to say whatever narrative you want. I can post stories where the jab is harmful. But confirmation bias kicks in and no one wants to admit they took an experimental shot where no one knows at all what lies ahead. A story is not a study. Yes studies can be biased. No one paid for the study I linked. It was published in the annals of internal medicine, one of the most respected peer reviewed journals in the world. This study has limits in that it is retrospective case series but it includes review of 70k + ischemic events and finds no association in patients under 75 years for Pfizer and Moderna. If you know of any peer reviewed published study showing an association between acute vascular events and these vaccines please link it. I have done multiple pubmed searches using several meSH terms and have found none

  3. Do you think that is accidental? No one is more connected to the program in $9.95erland than Bobby. Gerry’s amazing at what he does, but in football, Bobby is the guy. Deservedly so. I’ve said it before, as have others, but it bears repeating - Bobby Burton has done more to help Texas achieve excellence in NIL than damned near anyone. So, yeah, he’ll have the best information on what’s happening with the staff. It seems pretty obvious that Chris Jackson is the hire.

  19. The only thing actually weird in your post is your take. Teams have been paying recruits to sign on the dotted line since WW2. OU won 6 national titles with this approach through the 80's. The SEC rose to power from the mid-2000's forward with this approach. Clemson and Oregon became part of the national title picture consistently due to this approach. Jimbo Fisher bought an entire roster at FSU with this approach and is doing the same at ATM. None of that is weird. It hasn't been right, but it hasn't been weird. Now everyone can do it. Not as "an inducement" to sign at a school, but as a story to tell recruits about what they can look forward to on campus. The only thing "weird" about it at this point is the typical patrician reaction to the concept of paying players from average fans at schools like Texas and Michigan. Following recruiting is also not weird if you are a fan of the sport. Talent acquisition, the jimmys and the joes part of the game, is far more important, generally, than the x's and o's part of the game. If that doesn't interest you, cool, but it logically sure as shit matters to a whole bunch of us for whom the sport is religious. As to the original subject matter, it sounds like pure idiocy at UF. NIL can be handled cleanly and without controversy, which is how it's being done at Texas and elsewhere. Dumbasses that don't understand how it all works or how other schools are handling it are going to wind up with egg on their faces. Florida got into a bidding war, with, wait for it, ... themselves, with this recruit. Miami never offered the player anything approaching $13M and nor should they have done so. Most of the NIL numbers being thrown around on the Internet are inflated by a full magnitude or more. Poor bastards involved with the process who choose to believe the numbers that recruits and their handlers, or transfers and their handlers, are throwing around about other schools are fucking around and finding out. A lot of that shit will clear out over time as schools and collectives learn to better network with each other about ballpark figures. Idiots like ATM will always randomly show up in a cycle and fuck things up for a recruit or 5, but generally speaking, there's loose collusion and an equilibrium coming, because none of it is sustainable otherwise.

  20. “When they attack Kharkiv and Kyiv?” Umm, fellas….you already did that. Your great prize ended up being both cities remaining relatively intact and in Ukrainian hands, with tens of thousands of Russian corpses in the field. Please, continue to repeat that victory. It’s getting quite difficult to argue against the complete extermination of the Russian state. It is a genocidal bullying state that does not value life and never has (remember, they were just FINE with the Nazis, so long as they had each other’s back). And yes, Russia should be expelled from the UN Security Council. It was not on it in the first place, and sure as shit doesn’t belong there. Finally, I love that Putin is having to put up air defenses in Moscow. I hope that his intel is informing him that Ukraine is developing homegrown missiles that can strike that far. Here’s hoping that the residents of Moscow, who support a genocidal war of extermination against Ukraine, begin to taste their own medicine. Russia set the rules: it’s total war. Time for Russians, who think this war is so great, to start dying in their homes, on their streets. Cast evil into the universe? It will come home to roost. Enjoy. Want it to end? It’s amazingly easy: withdraw from Ukraine and stop attacking it.

  22. Dude.. back away from the keyboard. Sark stayed the course on D after a rocky first season, that turned out to be right and now we all love Choate and are coming around to PK when we were crushing them last year. Gideon landed a 5 star level dude and the safeties all of the sudden looked good last year. Joseph got much better play out of the DBs this year and landed 5 star level dudes. Sark brought in Gary Patterson. That was a home run. Sark brought in Marion, and whatever we think of him, he just got a promotion to offensive coordinator. He brought in Choice, that was a home run. He brought Flood with him, that has been a home run. He brought Banks with him, that has been a home run. No we have not turned the corner, but this has been a huge rebuild and the pieces are finally in place to go do something significant next season.

  33. If you want something really infectious, take any that might be able to be influential and give them the Boris Yeltsin grocery store treatment. Let them see how everyday people in the West live compared to the bulk of the population of Russia. Remind them that the reasons THEY don't get to live like that are the kleptocrats stealing from them. Their quality of life only goes up when they point their guns back at the kleptocrats. The sooner they realize that, the better.

Bring meals over, offer support, watch a game, but don’t talk about the facts of his case. Personally, I’d distance myself from all this BS
