  3. When this is all over (when he's dead), we'll need to have a serious conversation as a country on how this happened. Like Germany post-WW2. 70+ million people in this country voted for someone who is uniquely unqualified for the job as President. Like, if you made up a list of all the qualities a President simply cannot have, he's got them all. They are his dominant traits.

  4. I did this kind of shit to my mom as a kid. We were skiing in Idaho, and she asks me “what mountain range is this?”. Stunned, I sarcastically go “the Appalachians”. She responds “seriously?”, and I decided to run with it. I told her that the uplift along Lake Superior and Black Hills were all part of a mostly eroded branch of the Appalachians that ran west into Idaho. That night we were out to supper with my dad’s cousins and age goes to the table “did you guys know these mountains are part of the Appalachians?” Everyone just looked at her in awkward stunned silence. I got grounded for 2 weeks.

  20. So, summarizing the $9.995 quotes in this thread and in Hide Your Money: 1. Most every 5 and 4 star has a tight circle and plays things close to the vest. They may move up their timeline which is good news but the longer they wait that’s good news too. 2. Every school that hosted 5 and 4 stars this weekend opened the recruits’ eyes, displayed a family atmosphere and the recruits got one on one time with the coaching staff. The host school made a lot of headway. The recruits bonded with the other recruits at the Pool Party/BBQ/XYZFest. Confidence is on the rise. 3. The ebb and flow of recruiting is filled with surges that sometimes result in one or a flurry of big time commitments, or a handful is silent commitments, some of which end up committing and some of which don’t (assuming they were ever a silent commitment to begin with). Between the surges are periods of staying in touch with recruits committed elsewhere and remaining confident in other recruitments.

  31. An investigation into #NordStream2 by @rtl_aktuell has now, unsurprisingly, revealed that the Andromeda yacht company, allegedly involved in the attacks on the Nord Stream, was run by a ruZZian woman. Born in Uzbekistan, the woman has lived in Crimea since 2001 and has probably never held Ukrainian nationality. She currently resides in ruZZia. Online photos showed her presence in Krasnodar and other places in ruZZia. In early March, there were serious doubts about the initial investigation that pointed to Ukraine's involvement. The Andromeda yacht was found after the attacks with traces of explosives and with two abandoned Ukrainian passports on board. It made Ukraine guilty on the face of it. But afterwards it became clear that it must have been impossible to load the heavy explosives onto the yacht along with the crew and their diving equipment. Subsequent research by @tonline showed that larger and more suitable ships of the ruZZian Navy were operating near the crime scene. Swedish and Danish authorities also confirmed the presence of ruZZian naval forces. Danish ships even chased the ruZZian ships heading towards Kaliningrad. They had operated around the crime scene shortly before the attacks. Seymour Hersch and whatever iteration of GRhorn is around right now can suck it.
