This case wasn’t so much about the 2A, it was more about political violence being condoned by the state/society IMO.

All time bad take.  Who exactly do you think was committing political violence in Kenosha last year?

It very much about the 2A and the right to bear arms to defend one's self. It's why he was found not guilty.

Nope, the firearm is actually irrelevant as it relates to the specifics of the acquittal.

Kyle could have killed those people with a baseball bat and it’s the same case/outcome.

That Kyle was allowed to roam the streets in a hostile politically charged environment threatening public safety with an unlawfully obtained AR-15 (or a baseball bat for that matter) AND CLAIM SELF DEFENSE is where we have some problems.

Shit, imagine being Hugo’s parents. On one hand they’re just glad he’s leaving the basement, on the other hand they have to drive him to an antifa protest.

I was talking to my mom earlier and even though this case has absolutely nothing to do with anybody in Texas, outside of Fox News, CNN, etc. using it to get morons riled up (and they are doing an outstanding job of that), she had to point out that she would not have let me go to a riot when I was 17.

I just kind of thanked her for that, and said at 17 I was more concerned with passing Calculus and figuring out what university I was going to attend.

What I really wanted to say was "Gee mom, at 17, do you remember our neighbors, the [redacted] with the two kids in junior high?  Remember Holly, the blond-haired 40-something wife?  Remember how my window overlooked their backyard and did you know that at night, sometimes she wouldn't close the bathroom window shades?  There could have been nightly riots down the street and I would not have given two shits because she was the center of my universe for a while.  And the shades were open on purpose."

And if I had the internet when I was a teen, and especially internet porn and social media, holy fuck I would not have been dragged out of my bedroom except to make it to class.

Here I am, in my 40s, and you'd think I would feel comfortable enough to tell my mom that at 17 I only cared about hooking up with the neighbor.

But I don't have the words "South" and "Austin" in my name, so I wouldn't dare mention such things around my mom.

South Austin's neighbor only cared about hooking up with his mom.

straight trolling;  did you chase down and attack a minor at this peaceful protest?

But hey, keep up this line of Propaganda (media too), maybe the domestic terrorists will think twice about rioting and burning down a city because they believe CNN headlines.

How would he know he was a minor?  He was carrying a weapon that minors are not allowed access to have.

*Correction. The charge was dropped do to the law being “unclear” on the subject. Hunting laws there safe it is illegal for a minor to have SBR or a shot gun. This AR15 was neither.

I seriously doubt Rosenbaum would know the distinction either way

Y'all are arguing with people who get mad at me asking if I was right about my facts on the Arbery case, but still don't even know the facts of this case.

The facts matter in that case though. VERY important in that case that every poster be informed.

I know, but it's pretty annoying to get chided for asking if I was correct, but these people keep saying things that have been told on here many times that what they're saying is false.

Good to know that if I show up to peacefully protest I have the right to be lawfully gunned down by a dipshit with a gun if he feels threatened by me.  Good job America.

It was a great job setting Kyle free...A better job than calling very unpeaceful protests "peaceful" and not arresting protestors committing criminal acts at these "peaceful" protests...

It really is psychotic how much guys like sack and his ilk are in full celebration mode. Like they somehow won something. Must be a pretty big void to fill.

They celebrate death because they watch it on TV, fill themselves with hateful propaganda, and probably fantasize it was them shooting people.

All it is is white grievance masked by a claim for muh guns with a mix of psychosis. A white supremacist took up arms against white traitor protestors and killed and shot them. Merica.

They shouldn’t care one way or the other about this verdict but they do for that one reason alone. It’s why Kyle is on Fox News right now and why the right is turning him into some sort of hero to be worshipped.

Oh but Johnny sack also has a black friend he goes hunting with and nobody shoots anyone. So it’s all good. Maybe it’s Allan west.

Didn't Works With Seed go to the Portland during the unrest?  Maybe he needed to defend himself.
