Democrats who saw it pretty much confirmed that nothing was in the report by calling it a bullshit report.

And now we get to the real end of the story.

Putting it out there would've shown what a fraud that "investigation" was.

Now we're busy helping the Saudi's with their own "investigation" to find whatever plausible excuse they can for murdering an American resident in their consulate.

I think if there was a big bomb to drop it would come out before the midterms.

I think it is much bigger than that but people on here do not want to hear any kind of logic.  The reality is that if there existed any smoking gun type evidence against trump it would have been made public by now.  The reason, imo, is that I do not believe a man like mueller would be presented with overwhelming evidence that the potus colluded with a foreign power and not do anything while that same potus was out making trade deals, getting the most sensitive intelligence, and all the other things that an actual compromised potus should never be allowed to do.  It is just crazy.

There is no objective truth. We'll tell you what the truth is.

It's the same as the second Kavanaugh 'investigation.' The govt. branch nominating the person gets to supervise the investigation and make it say what the WH wants.

Lovely.  How about people put their opinion out there right now on whether or not they will believe the mueller report.  I will believe it.

I do not think that there is a playbook or precedent for this type of thing. If found true, this would be the first time in our history that a sitting President was helped get into office by a foreign power, and possible that a major political party knowingly or unknowingly helped it. Tossing that kind of bomb onto the public without some sort of plan to address it would be problematic to say the least. If it as deep as I think it is (Panama Paper sized money laundering into our political system), there is going to have to be a huge strategic plan to address the fallout. I get your logic, but with the ongoing drumbeats of a 'deep state' out to the get the President, and then you have the government go after the sitting President, there would/could be a civil response that would/could be very dangerous to the stability of our nation (at least in the short term).

Given how airtight Mueller team has been around zero leaks, this 'news' about a report being ready to be released shortly after the midterms needs to taken with a grain of salt.

Trump criminality is in plain view.  Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to felony charges for actions he took under the direction of Trump.  This allocution was sworn as a part of his guilty plea to the Feds.  It's GOP and their toadies in our communities who are determined to keep faking it.

Yeah, whether the report is shown to the public initially or not is immaterial. It will eventually get out. And it will matter if the Dems take control of the House, and especially if they also take the Senate. As trip said above, the Prez is already implicated in a federal crime. That's enough for the Dems to get the ball rolling. The report will likely just open the door for other people to get indicted.

But nobody is getting impeached by the senate. No matter what the report finds. It could reflect 100 recorded confessions, citing to specific criminal laws violated, and it wouldn’t matter. The GOP senate will never convict the president or any of his cronies.

It doesn’t matter what any of we the people think. It only matters what the senate thinks. And they have already decided what they’re going to do.

This whole process is kabuki theater. The outcome has been decided. The facts don’t matter, and never will.

Hard to believe we may actually have some sort of end result in sight.  As mentioned 100s of times, if Mueller finds collusion/conspiracy or obstruction of justice or something similar then I will fully support impeachment efforts.

My guess is that there will be no such evidence.  My guess is that Rosenstein will release a statement summarizing Mueller's findings to date but that mueller's investigative notes will not be made public at this time.  When the final comprehensive report by mueller is done, I think it will absolutely be made public.  I dont think anyone will care at that point as the results will already be out there.

I also think this whole notion that somehow trump or the repubs will bury the results is just childish.  By law, the report has to go to the senior members of the senate committee, which obviously includes prominent democrats, and there is simply no way that Mueller would find evidence and then not speak out if the evidence was tried to be buried.

My other prediction, and the one I feel strongest about, is that IF the mueller investigation fails to get trump it will not make any difference to anyone.  Perhaps it will tamper impeachment talk but everyone that believes so strongly that trump is guilty will still think he is guilty but that mueller just could not find the evidence.

You do know that nobody reads past your first paragraph, right?  I'm sure there are several nuggets of wisdom buried within the rest of your disingenuous verbal spew, but really, save yourself the time and effort.

The thing I hate most about the public perception of the Mueller investigation is that it’s all about Trump.

Trump is just a small piece of the Mueller puzzle, the investigation is about our democracy and citizens being attacked by foreign powers.

That is the big fucking deal no one seems to care about.

However, Trump made himself a bigger part of it by obstructing justice.

Given all the plea deals, regardless of what happens to Trump, a whole bunch of people are going to jail.

What went down in 2016 can never happen again.

This is what is driving Mueller.

“A smoking gun isn’t a smoking gun.”

/Trumpkins

The conspiracy and cover up has been in plain sight for years.

It’s not like Trump’s top campaign officials had a secret meeting with the Russian government during the election to hash out their plot to manipulate the election with stolen property of Trump’s opponent.

It’s conspiracy, not collusion.

And if it were being real, Mueller would conclude that Trump is an unregistered agent of at least one foreign government.

He would also conclude Trump directed multiple conspiracies to obstruct justice.

You can add about a dozen other obstruction charges including witness tampering.

Addidtionally, assuming Trump could be indicted, these could also be in play:

Oh I fully expect Mueller to produce evidence of any number of illegal activities. He's nailed a bunch of Trump cronies on all sorts of stuff already.  I'm just curious what the CR thinks will show up specific to the original charter of Mueller's investigation (and not the whatever-else-you-find-along-the-way part).

Flame away but I have a hard time believing that Putin and Trump got together and created a joint plan to get Trump elected. I'll come eat my crow if I'm wrong.

I think it's much more likely that there will be other felonious activities that take the spotlight.

It’s conspiracy, not collusion.

And if it were being real, Mueller would conclude that Trump is an unregistered agent of at least one foreign government.

OK since we may be getting close, let’s have everyone’s definition of collusion and see who gets closest to Mueller’s findings. I’ll send the winner an autographed picture of Gavin McLeod.

Searched Gavin McLeod and ended up on the Love Boat cast.

Let's just say I know who is going to play the Role of Mitch McConnell in the eventual motion picture, made for tv movie and Broadway musical of the Trump Admin story:
