Are you in Texas. If so, your county clerk should have deed records online that can be searched from your couch. In that search type in your name. Sort by date. Last document you should see is a release. If it’s there the bank has confirmed to the world that you are paid off.

I’ve never been lucky or smart enough to pay off a house so I don’t know what the band sends you. But I have looked at a lot of property records and know what a release looks like.

I'm in Austin / Travis County.  I'll do a search and see what I find.  Thank you.

edit to add:  I did a search on the Travis County Clerk's database and found the "Release of Lien" document from Wells Fargo.  So this is all I need for proof of ownership?  THANK YOU1

For the most part. You get a deed when you buy the property that is held “in trust” by the lender until they are paid. They release their interest and the deed is your proof of ownership. The release says they deed - previously held in trust - is now yours.

on another note, I'm going to be vacant in my studio next week.  I'm getting lots of interest.

When a prospective tenant tells you that they have not one, but TWO "emotional support animals", you gotta wonder just how fucked up they could be

here it is, if any of y'all are interested.  https://www.redfin.com/CA/San-Diego/4007-Everts-St-92109/unit-3G/home/5177553

We are having Santa Ana winds, and it's absolutely beautiful weather.  The pussy on that boardwalk...holy moly.  Every hot piece of ass at UCSD and their milf moms were jogging there yesterday and today.

I played volleyball once or twice weekly in front of this building for a summer a year and a half ago. Right past all the dinghy’s. July 4th and Labor Day in Crown Point rival spring break trips with the amount of ass out
