Baxter has played in 6 of our 10 games this season and has yet to register a rushing TD.
Our two featured backs, Baxter and Wisner, have just over 500 yards combined this season with 2 regular season games left. I'm sure the numbers would look better if our OLine created more gaps, but either way you slice it that is abysmal. I don't think our RB room hasn't been this bad since the Tre Newton days in 2010

First ten DMs got a Nekkid Nicole fold out and calendar and a preroll. If sark is still here by Christmas I might do another giveaway, people asking for deets now are just getting coded launch codes from war games and copy and pasted from War and Peace. Snooze you get gibberish

I may have to post some nekkid horn dogg centerfolds to sober everyone up in this forum. Warning: I'm a dude and I'm uglier than Rimbo!

Its not the room, its the scheme.  Wisner ran the ball 6 times for 36 yards in the first half against Georgia.  He only ran it 3 more times the entire game.  Arch and Wingo combined had almost as many carries as Wisner (Arch's were mostly his sacks) .  Sark doesnt even attempt to establish a run game even when its working.  Wisner had 36 on 6 in the first half.  We finished with 23 as a team for the game with Wisner only getting 3 2nd half carries. It makes us easy to defend cause our opponents know that they can pin their ears back.  Even if the run game is working we will completely abandon it.

Wisner isn’t elite by any means but he was a 1000 yard rusher last year so it’s obvious it’s something else as you just said.

Was sarks offensive genius persona just media slobbering him for his 2 years at Bama? Or was there something at Washington also ? Not including usc for obvious reasons and falcons let him go while retaining  quinn for 1.5 more seasons

Is it possible…work with me here…that our decision makers knew he was looking to leave after we lost to OSU in the playoffs? And is it possible that they re-upped with him bc they feared about losing him to the NFL…and they were cool with this month hiatus bc they would still keep him and hey it’s way early offseason and it’s just a needed vacation. And whatever he does there so what.

but then they had no idea he would come back from his absence and then you know fuck the entire offseason in the ass, Miss Junior day, jettison the spring game, jettison spring anything, elect publicly and he spoke to many publications of his admiration for the NFL many of which I have read about his decision to emulate their practices and go to these proven bullshit excuse for practices that don’t work in college. And our decision makers really didn’t think he would whiff on plugging the oline and hamper development of players and generally seem like he’s delusional and detached on the sideline and in pressers. Maybe they thought he’d be Sark mostly of 2023 and 2024 but they got 2025 Sark,

who was a Niblett away from 5-7 and shit.

I can’t believe more questions were not asked during the spring about all the events you listed ?  Was it all hush-hush in Austin?  Or was it just a symptom of being content because we just came off what most programs would consider a successful season as far as W/L record,  we have Arch who was already being hyped unfairly as a contender for the Hesman,  we were being picked #1 in all the spring football media write ups, etc.?  I don’t recall any of the $9.95 er’s asking about the lack of activity in the transfer portal.    Boy were we fooled.

It is interesting  listening to the OB and On Texas Football podcasts today, they did entertain the possibility that there indeed is some fire behind this smoke now.  Whereas a month ago, they laughed it off.

I am not surprised. A lot of people did not and still do not know the full behind the scenes story and many bought the personnel is the issue excuse. People are digging. And finding out shit. This has been a mess. I can say it with confidence. Where do we go from here? No clue.

The meltdown was short lived to the middle of Sunday.

It will be very interesting to see what transpires if we get beat this weekend by Arky followed up by a loss to aggy next week.  I can already see some expectations being lowered by the $9.95ers for the Arky game.  They are all noting Arky’s 2-7 record could easily be flipped because of the closeness of their loses.  But it’s remarkable though they are having to address the elephant in the room thanks to Desmond bringing it back out of the speculation and chatter  on the message boards, etc.   So much so they are talking about who do we turn to if Sark leaves voluntarily or involuntarily.

@immamacneeds to buy a Luby’s franchise but add a bar and bus in olds on Horseshoe Bay and we can ride our Temu speedboats to the dock. This is what happens. Olds all over the Austin area will sign up in their assisted living homes to go to a Luby’s on the lake with booze. Profit. We watch smoke come from the tower when we pick a new HC.

Aggie has the record we should have had with our Team if Sark wasn’t phoning it in. Harsh I know but Elko is riding the wave of a fairly easy schedule but he’s also NOT losing games. We had a much more difficult schedule no question. But we screwed the pooch. They have the record we should have. If they beat us then we have swapped places and that might be enough to wake up the real BMD dragons who have been oddly silent as this all unfolds.

Will this get embarrassing is the question people need to ask themselves… 😢 🤘🏼

I agree.   This is no where close to aggy meltdown.   It’s 100% asking questions about why things look so dysfunctional when it shouldn’t.

Aggys meltdown because they get to a point in the season usually where they discover their house was built on sand instead of solid rock after drinking the kool aid year after year.

when Herman was fired there was a ton of chatter. Things could be heard and I tap danced around the edges of some big 🔥 and gossip. This year everything is closer to the vest. Not as much gossip or smoke coming from our paycheck writers. They are pissed though. The 9.95’ers are starting to step up and dig. And I don’t know if they were oblivious or what or didn’t care or didn’t want to rock the boat. But it’s a STORY now. And they don’t want to miss out. The whole thing sucks.

As much as it pains me to say this, I do see a scenario in which this (2-7) Arkansas team beats us this weekend regardless of how shitty their defense is. And then the heat will really be turned up if A&M just completely embarrasses Texas in DKR at night.

I would hope a loss to aggy would wake up the BMDs if they are not awake now.  I mean they are going to hear it biggy from their insufferable BMD’s and fanbase in whatever social or business circles they share.   If that would not get them pissed as a rattlesnake that just got stepped on, I don’t know what would?

Arky has good players, they just have never had the HC. They should at least be bowl bound. The blue print is out on how to shut us down. I feel like. Can Arky execute it? No idea. But the motivation for their shit season is they can scalp us. That’s motivation if we have players just out there for a paycheck and a HC whose head might be up his ass. Things can spiral fast. As we saw in Georgia game. Aggie is really motivated and they KNOW their season record ain’t shit if they don’t beat us. I can see back to back losses. I can also see back to back wins. But it may be a split. Regardless, one loss and people can shelve any playoff hopes. Which we all know. And then you will see some shit from the dragons circling in the distance, the ones with real money.

Another plausible explanation for why winning is hard is that our roster isn't as good as you think it is, particularly on offense.

I have no doubt people buy in to the personnel excuse. But let me ask who is responsible for the roster? Who is responsible for running practices prior to the season so we can evaluate said roster? Who was responsible for plugging any holes in said roster with the portal? Would heavy spring practices and a spring game have helped to identify weaknesses in the roster? Who decided to forego Junior Day and the Spring Game? WHO? Who is running this shit? Is it feasible and plausible that sark phoned it in bc of a combo of personal shit that could get really messy and bc he was planning to leave for the NfL if he was offered a HC job? It’s not as simple imo as we have roster holes. And our roster isn’t as good as advertised. Why do we have former players knocking our team as soft and entitled and just there for a paycheck? Could it be that Sark as a HC is soft, entitled, preoccupied and also here for a paycheck? Does he shout at anyone mid game? Bench anyone?

we have talked about Sark trying and failing in big games to be both OC and HC. But we don’t address how we rarely if ever saw anyone sit on the bench with either Ewers or Arch while the defense is on the field. Sark cannot do it bc he is head coach. This is where our QBs are getting cheated bc someone should be there to talk to them in between series to ask them what’s happening. What they need. What they are seeing. Why they threw at that WR and so on. I don’t know how this is not clear to people. It could very well be why sark also wants to be a HC in the NfL. With a veteran QB that he can just bark plays at. These college QBs need a ton of development and interaction in game. All I see is cuts to the sideline of arch sitting on the bench and no member of the staff talking him up. Is this fucking normal?

Its, uh pretty fucking good? Again it wasn't like georgia was covering the receivers so well and defending passes. It was crazy drops.

It wasn't like Georgia shut down the run, sark completely abandoned it.

The skill players are fine, the OL leaves much to be desired, and the TE are not as strong as our NFL starters that left.

The offense is held back by penalties, stone hands, and general lack of scheme, not personnel.

The defensive performance was inexcusable - the soft zone coverages against georgia were really stupid and the blown plays were all wtf.

Clinging to futility? If sark gets fired because his former wr’s ran a train on his wife and he was fucking an administrative assistant in his office while shit housed hammered then I’ll probably laugh and be a little depressed for like 5-10 minutes. I’ll post in the next coaches thread and forget all about Sark. Once he gets fired is the key to all this, if he doesn’t get fired then he’s the coach of a team I love. That’s where I stand. I think you smoke too much weed lol.

We don’t forget about old coaches here at Texas, especially not at Surly…
