Per GH, he’s about 6’2 without shoes.

Hopefully, he's our Colt Lyerla - without the cocaine, being booted from the program, and going to prison pieces. That guy was a swiss army knife TE for Oregon. They wanted him to be their Aaron Hernandez; but, they got the bad parts too.

It'd be nice for UT to unleash one of these guys on OU for a change.

Completely forgot about this piece of shit:

Quote

EUGENE, Ore. - A former Oregon football player pleaded guilty Tuesday and was sentenced to prison on charges stemming from an assault on his girlfriend earlier this year.

Colt Lyerla, 27, pleaded guilty to charges of Coercion, Strangulation, Assault in the Fourth Degree and Possession of Heroin. A charge of Assault in the Second Degree was dismissed.

Lyerla was sentenced to 27 months, with credit for time served in the Lane County Jail since his June arrest.

Eugene Police responded to a report Monday, June 17, just after 11 a.m. that the 26-year-old Lyerla had assaulted and strangled his girlfriend, according to a police report.

The woman was located and transported to the hospital for treatment, police said.

But Lyerla was nowhere to be found.

"Officers spent a considerable amount of time trying to locate Lyerla but were unable to find him. A Patrol Division officer continued on the investigation, working intently to find Lyerla," according to the report. "She put out an Attempt to Locate for him and then enlisted the Street Crimes Unit to assist her on June 18. "

That day, Springfield Police investigated a vehicle believed to be Lyerla's but were unable to find him.

"A Street Crimes Unit officer observed Lyerla’s vehicle at a Thurston Road residence at 6:19 p.m. and other officers arrived to assist," according to a police report. "Lyerla attempted to flee and a taser was used to take him into custody. He was found to be in possession of heroin."

Lyerla was booked into the Lane County Jail about an hour later on charges of Assault in the Second Degree, Strangulation, Coercion, Menacing, Unlawful Possession of Heroin and Parole Violation.

Lyerla was a 5-star recruit out of Hillsboro, Oregon, for the Ducks.

As a junior in 2013, Lyerla was added to the "watch list" for the John Mackey Award, presented annually to the outstanding collegiate tight end in the country.

That season, Lyerla missed two games for unspecified violations of team rules.

Lyerla left the team in early October, saying he planned to purse a professional football career instead of playing college ball.

Days later, a narcotics detective in Eugene spotted Lyerla snorting cocaine.

Lyerla initially rejected a drug treatment plan and sought permission to move to Las Vegas to prepare for the NFL draft. He later pleaded guilty to the charges.

Lyerla has had several more run-ins with the law in Oregon since then, including an escape from a Washington County facility where he was serving a 6-month sentence for burglary and charges of heroin possession.

Or just drop bags like literally everyone else

whats frustrating is no one would bat an eye at texas landing the top 5* players with bag men texas is a blue blood

alabama was on the path that texas' last decade was after the lost to ulm but saban didnt let it happen he brought out the bag men same with clemson in dabos 4th year

mack brown had bag men but he changed up his style after 09 &  coaches & presidents/ads that came after mack refuse to use bagmen for pretentious reasons

texas football program would literally become a juggernaut overnight if they used bagmen no one would outbid texas

i thought herman would bring back bagmen but he didnt  maybe if this season doesnt go as planned & he gets on the hot seat texas will finally unleash them

Wasn't Valai supposed to get us started?

Other thing is, the infrastructure for these kinds can be more complicated than we the fans expect.  I hope it's just "in the works" now and doesn't require yet a-fucking-nother disappointing season to make a strategic advancement
