Need help from Surly Community

Pretty damn funny.  But I think you’ve been watching too many lifetime movies.  I can barely devote enough time and attention to my wife.  No way I could have a relationship with two women at the same time and keep it under wraps.

if there is any advice I can pass along is that everyone should try to live in a rural community for a period of time.  Like I said earlier, it exposes you to some interesting things and interesting people and changes your worldview on things.  Being from a big city and traveling around the world, living in a rural area for a period of time has had the biggest impact on my views.  Believe it or not it has made me more liberal being amongst more conservative people and dealing with the shit that they have to deal with on a daily basis and had to deal with for most of their lives.

Who the hell talks to neighbors?  I live in the burbs and my direct neighbors could be neo-Nazi and I'd never know it. My life is interesting enough, I have no interest in listening to the political rants of the people in my community.  A friendly wave, and a tall fence.

What the fuck is going on in this thread

OP, you really need to get the fuck off this thread. If you need to discuss anything more, it should be with either a therapist or an attorney. And you're going to need one. Yes, you, Mr. Clarence Accessorytodistributechildpornography.

In fact I'd just ghost this account right now.

Maybe if you ask immamac nicely, he'll delete all your posts. Assuming imma's attorney doesn't say "No, we can't do that, that's evidence, now."

Seriously. Shut the fuck up. For your own sake. This is like super amusing for the rest of us, but the more you talk... the worse things get for you and your friend.

My understanding is that many think they can talk their way out of the arrest.  When in reality, they’re just helping the prosecution.

Well, to be fair, it is a tactic the cops use to get you to talk knowing that they wouldn't use any exculpatory evidence you even brought up.

It's a carefully crafted script so-to-speak...

You just have to know going on that anything you say that could exonerate you will never be used to help you.

This is a troll thread. There’s only one piece of advice to give— get a good lawyer and then STFU about it.  If by some small chance this is real, then Clarence needs a lawyer, too because the only piece of advice that’s relevant is being ignored.

This is the most interesting place on the internet. I can’t imagine the motivation to create this thread and keep the narrative going. OP should look into creative writing programs, the narrative is compelling but delivery is lacking.

Seems like you might've been spending too much time with your "friend" instead of your wife.

Also...what fucked up community are you living in?  I'm fairly rural, and I still have most of my wits about me.

It sounds like you must have watched the "Don't talk to police" video upstream.  Classic video and good rules to live by.

But what if, now hear me out, the nice police officers say, "Please tell us what you know. It would really be helpful, and we'd be incredibly grateful for your assistance. Along with our gratitude, we'll even get you and your wife a window sticker for each of your cars, and a card to go on the back of your DLs that say you're a friend of the bumfuck pd?"

OP if your job doesn't require you to be on-site, perhaps you should consider doing a 5-year stint where you test out what it's like to live in various foreign countries? Hop around the world. Live it up. Without the cloud you've cast yourself under. You can play it safe(r) and just go to countries without extradition treaties, or as (seemingly) a mere witness you could get away with a bit more risk and broaden your tour to include countries merely well off-the-beaten path, extradition be damned. Either way, I'd skip Mexico or C America. Too popular with US LEO.

This thread brought to you by the Mt Pleasant Chamber and Visitors Council.  Hope to see you soon!

I like the part where the military vet was taken aback and traumatized by county jail.

Oh - right - had to go back to the first page. He was apparently DEFUSING BOMBS. Lmfao.

GMAFB. Most of the stories about county I've heard range from "yeah it kind of sucks" to "honestly it's pretty fun".

Ain't no self-respecting vet pissing his pants in county. Unless he managed to get sent to the worst one in the country.

Touché @goatsaag.  However, at my company we take data security very seriously.  You can’t pass the training unless you’re paying attention.  If there is a violation of our data security policy, it is a fireable offense.  We handle financial data for some of the biggest companies in the world.  If there is a data breach, because of the immense liability, it would potentially bankrupt the company.  The company I work for is a relatively small company too.

yet you come here to ask for IT expert advice.

I know of one exception: OPP -- Orleans Parish Prison. I've got a coonass friend who did time there and later in Texas lockups and prison, and he said OPP was just off the charts horrible. From the warden on down it's got a culture of downright sadism, he said. (He's a druggy and not a chomo so it wasn't directed at him because of what he did.) He did have some actual pleasant memories of his time in Texas prisons.

What if this guy that is definitely not Clarence looked at all of this child porn just to get access to see how deplorable the county jails are? Like a more retarded Serpico? Pedico just doesn’t have the same feel to it.

Maybe he is on Pete Townshend's research team.
