coral gables vs. louisiana on friday.

The Cajuns went 5-0 against TxSt this season, so I have nothing good to say about them.  Their 2nd-best pitcher ended up putting up better ERA/W-L than the guy who has the best arm.  Roccaforte is their stud hitter.

Baylor, Rice, and Houston have gone to shit.
UT, Tech, aggy aren't as good as they used to be.  Shit, even the SWAC teams who would sometime pull a regional upset are horrible.

Aggies just had their best CWS run. We aren’t our best but we’re up there. DBU. Tech, TCU are talented but not peak CWS. But that really isn’t their history. SHSU is solid.

Now BU, Rice are pitiful. Houston is down.

I do think there are more quality players spread thru the country.

Which ever OkSt poster on here that always talks about Oral Roberts being a thorn in their side will really love that draw.

#11 seems about right for my Pokes.  Sure ORU will knock us out since they’re our kryptonite.

Simultaneous posts check out.

so which do you think; aggy, cal st-full, or san jose st beats us out?

On I-pad now instead phone and see bracket.  Agree, Texas should host if Standard should lose but don’t see that happening.

Is there a printable bracket out there anywhere?

This is a pretty good one.  Wait about 8-10 hours and the gametimes/broadcast info will be on it:

https://www.ncaa.com/brackets/baseball/d1/2023

I like it better than the ESPN version.

Looks like they made an extra effort to give the better #2 seeds a more favorable #1 draw as opposed to geography.  Not with everybody obviously but some glaring examples.

That Indiana State regional is a fucking joke.  They shouldn't be hosting.  Iowa should not be a preferred #2.

Top 3 overall seeds got it made in the shade in terms of draw.  How it should be I suppose.

Weird that we played 3 of the 4 Stanford regional teams in the regular season.  How prescient.

Anyone want to rank the brackets based on the likelihood of an upset? Looking at the brackets to me the regionals I see that could be upsets are :

Indiana St, Kentucky, Miami, Bama and maybe Arky

South Carolina, Auburn

Really? It's not like hosts never lose in the Regionals. Is this Stanford team particularly invincible or something?

How do you see Texas hosting over Stanford if they should both win their regionals?  Or am I missing something?

I thought UTSA was top 20 a couple weeks ago. They must have lost out to miss the tournament

D1B got attracted by their shiny record.  Then they got swept at home by DBU and went 0-2 in CUSA tournament and finished #75 RPI, 1-3 vs Q1.
