Again.  FSU is not a relevant comparison. At all. Jordan Travis was hurt at the end of the season and unavailable for the playoffs.   We're talking about missing a couple of games in October.   JFC.

the point is 9-3 is a shit record, and not even in the conversation as a realistic option unless all time chaos breaks out across CFB

You guys better get into and out of the Swamp without key injured players.”before interring OU.  Weird shit happens in that place.  I have no doubt Bendables will play Mateer but he (Mateer) didn’t impress me that much vs a pretty solid Alldumb defense. Florida’s locker room may be on life support by Saturday, in any case. Hook ‘em anyway.

Man it was quiet while he was winning and Arch was getting by. you think Arch would have finished a game with a broken hand. doesn't matter what happens at RRS at worst they are tied.

I have seen this writing style before...

WTF are you even talking about.   There are solid odds a 9-3 SEC team will get in any given year.  Actually, thanks for further proving my point.  Because in a hypothetical world where Milroe gets hurt last year and they lose to either Vandy or OU WHILE their starting QB is injured, that would probably be enough of a justification for the committee to slot them ahead of SMU.  Hell they may have gotten the nod over SMU based solely on changes to the criteria this year.  It's kind of amazing to me how little people apparently understand or pay attention to the playoff process.

Last year the darlings of all cfb Alabama got left out in the cold at 9-3. Milroe missing a game wouldn't have mattered because he sucked donkey dick.

No other team other than Ohio State, ND , or Texas realistically has that sort of pull maybe if the rest of the 11 teams is a poor TV draw ww see a push but that's the only thing that would get the talking heads moving.

If the year was more chaotic they'd have made it in , if the year was less chaotic they'd have been even further down the ladder.

Nobody is going to blame OU if they lose without Mateer

'23 Florida St says hello.

@thunderlounge, you suck at logic and analogies.

Mateer will play again this month (even if he doesn't play against Texas), and will be available for the playoffs if OU makes them. OU losing a game to a top 25 team in a neutral site without their starting QB would be hand waived away if needed.

Jordan Travis literally never played football again after his injury. He was drafted, but never played a down in the NFL and medically retired in April of this year. FSU without him was a different team (see the ACC champ game), and wouldn't have been competitive in the playoffs.

Man, y’all just can’t get over some light ribbing, huh?

Fuck mateer, hawkins, vegetables, all of em. Fuck OU.

My point with any of that was not whether the little shitbird plays in October or not. Nothing to that. However, with 9-10 weeks or so to go, nobody knows what the committee is going to do. And for some to sit here and fret about shit that OU might do? Well, fuck that. Let’s see what  direction they head before anointing them a playoff spot.

Why?

You realize Bama was 100% in last year at 9-3 with an SMU win over Clemson in the ACC championship right? But if you play out the exact same scenario as last year only adding the SOS additional criteria approved this year + a scenario where Milroe missed either Vandy or OU (giving the committee a chance to find an excuse for the loss), I'm extremely confident they would have gotten in over SMU.   That is the analogy.   JFC it's not that difficult to understand people.

I believe multiple 9-3 teams are making the playoffs this year. There is more balance from top to bottom this year than I have ever seen. And it is absolutely great for CFB.

Once again, you completely miss the point.  You really do suck at logic and analysis (and aren't the only one). OU may very well lose 4 or 5 (or more) games and it is completely moot.  But nobody here is "predicting" the rest of the season dude. This is solely looking at statistical probability and analysis for a single game in October.  If OU's goal is the playoff, and you have an injured QB that hasn't practiced and only slightly improves your chance of winning compared to playing a healthy backup, there is more upside to playing your backup because it's essentially a free roll in a scenario where you only lose 2 or 3 games.   In a hypothetical where OU goes 9-3 with a loss to Texas while playing a backup, I think very likely OU would get in under any possible scenario.  That would require going 4-2 against SC, Ole Miss, TN, Bama, Mizzou and LSU with wins over Michigan and Auburn in their pocket.

No, you missed the fucking point. You missed it two days ago.

I spelled it out for you, but you just can’t get over your ego.

Take the joke, pussy.

People from time to time say things on here in jest. But you can’t get past that and want to turn a light-hearted jab i to a raging debate over trivial bullshit.

So, exactly WHO sucks at analysis?

I’m over here fucking around, and you’re over there trying to lick windows and eat crayons.

I was never serious originally, and still not.

So I’m done with your vision of the trees, because I can see the forest just fine.

You ok? You really seem like something must be bothering you. Seriously, it’s ok. You’re off your game, so just checking in.
