Saban would have done it a while back. Sark is too wrapped up in his qb guru rep to admit he can’t fix a perfect recruit.

Fanfic is fun. You do any Kpop stuff?

If Sark wants to make the switch to Arch over the next 4 games, it needs to be sooner rather than later, esp if our first 2 games are against SMU and either Boise or Az st.

I have told y'all repeatedly Sark is more loyal to QE and his NFL draft prospects than he is this season.

No wonder the powers that should not be were able to unfold Operation Mockingbird and deceive y'all because you can't even see reality with your own fucking eyes :(

I’m not any type of coach but that Arch video looked soooo much better than Ewers, balls are thrown with velocity and not floated. And the fucking ability to run, it really shouldn’t be a hard to decision start him.

Yes but Quinn did come agree to pull us out of the 5-7 morass that was Sark year 1.

I'm not saying Sark's loyalty to QE is unjustified or wrong just that it is what it is and you either deal with it or continue to flail...

Good news is QE walked out with the seniors on senior day so we will get Arch Madness next year even if we fall short this year.

And rest assured we probably don't land Manning without Quinn so at least show some semblance of respect to the man even if he fell short of your expectations.

Agreed just tired of the QE hate.  I want Arch to start as much as everyone but we need to respect the process because someone shone a light in a dark cave..

Fantastic

Arch with the lookback at Denver Harris as he crossed the goalline will probably be my favorite sequence of our out of conference play including all the Big House manhandling.

Has absolutely nothing to do with “Quinn hate”, simply that it appears Arch may be a much better option at this point to win a championship. And I thought that was the goal?

Feel free to remind me if this when Quinn is hoisting the NC trophy

Oh no there are some people in the La Joya thread that absolutely are haters.  I didn't mean to imply you were just there is a pecking order and while I disagree with Sark's choice I respect it all the same.

A) I never made a prediction about the timeline the solar flare would go off just that when it did we are all fucked

B) You should own the OG decentralized actual money from the past 6,000 years

C) I don't have a YouTube channel but hey nice effort

“Appears” is the key word here.

Put together a highlight reel for Arch's 2024 season. Hopefully we can add stuff from the playoffs.

It's nice seeing a QB who doesn't get spooked by pressure, stands in and throws an accurate ball knowing he's about to get drilled.  Also saw a few times where he eluded heavy pressure but kept scanning for receivers while doing so, which is pretty rare for a QB in his first year of meaningful snaps.  No need to throw the offensive line under the bus or one of 80 other excuses...he just makes shit happen.

Yea sark knows he is set as a day 2 or early day 3. If he mixes more arch or even replaces him, QE would fall all the way down to day 2 or early day 3. A national championship may help a little but it would help sark way more, which is perplexing.

Quinn played fantastic for most of the game. He will be a 1st rounder after he kills it in the combine. We are lucky to have him. We may be better without him next year.

it can all be true.

Man, I had forgotten how good Arch looked.  Just the ability to move.  It's criminal that we're not using him more in this big important games.  He's too athletic to waste on the bench.

The painful part is that he is really good at the stuff we currently really suck at.

And really good at the stuff UGA struggled with the week before.

I think because of his past, he doesn't want to be that asshole. He seems to be too nice to pull the rug out from under Quinn.

I said this on the Quinn thread. Arch needs to be more involved if we want to have a chance at a National Title this year. I'm not saying he should take over for Quinn, but Arch should DEFINITELY play a bigger role. When we rush for over 100 yards, we win. When we don't, we lose. (See Georgia). Arch can help with that and I HOPE that Sark gets him going. He is they key. I truly believe that.

So at this point, I think most people agrees Arch should get more PT moving forward. I didn't see it, but apparently even Sark mentioned that he probably should have played Manning more vs. UGA. So how do we do it?

IMO, I think it would be a savvy and smart move to give him a predetermined series in the first half, let's say the 3rd series. Whether we're up 14-0, trailing 14-0, tied, whatever, give him a full series. He is a solid running threat, but we need to let him throw the ball and make a defense play honest. 3 and out? Fine, no biggie.Turnover? Highly unlikely it's a game changer that early. Just put Quinn back in and keep Arch as a situational option. We move the ball and get a score? Now we've got options.

I think this is the best way for Sark to get a feel on whether it's the right move or not to play him more. See how the team responds to the change/results on the field, and go from there.

So you're saying I shouldn't have made this same point in the Shit I've Cooked Lately thread?

Did he really say that? I saw where he said he's got more pt in mind for him in future games but this is the first I'm hearing regrets at not playing him more earlier.

I've seen multiple people mention he said that when being interviewed on ESPN after the playoff seeding was officially announced. Looked for it on YouTube but nothing there.

Yes, they asked about using Arch for his running ability. He said I should have probably gone to that sooner.

At this point, I'd be happy to see him deliver that 5-yard run to make it 2nd and 5... and STAY in the fucking game. I'm guessing Sark's plan is to have him throw instead of running, next time... if there is a next time.

Coach is trying to avoid a QB controversy so bad that he was willing to go down with the Quinn ship in the SEC championship game or he is being pressured by the Ewers camp and/or his NIL sponsors. UGA's kryptonite is a DT QB, which is exactly what we had sitting on the bench. Also, his moxie is undeniable. The coach should have acted before he faces outside pressure and criticism instead of reacting to it.

I refuse to believe Sark is being pushed around by anyone in Ewers's camp. I have no idea who that would even be or why that kind of leverage would even exist outside of some QAnon stuff. If I was going to believe ANY outside-forces nonsense, it would be Manning's side saying, "DO NOT START HIM. HE'S NOT READY!" I imagine the Mannings have more sway than some randos from Southlake.

OR MAYBE IT'S THE REPTILIANS!

"I trust the 30+ game starter over the freshman" is not a crazy thing for a coach to think. In fact, it's the sanest way for a coach to think unless the freshman in question has been Godlike in his showings -- which Arch hasn't -- or the team is falling off a cliff and in desperate need of anything to stop the fall -- which Texas isn't.

After his two starts, Arch's dad said on TV that he was happy to see his son getting some playing time ahead of next year's game at OSU. I don't think his camp is against him getting playing time - that's just absurd.
