The similarities in dogshit mechanics between he and Ewers should be a red flag about our QB coaching

I want to know who is actually doing the QB coaching. Sark or Milwee? My guess is more Milwee since Sark has so many other responsibilities. Because yeah, the mechanics and the seemingly mental struggles of Ewers and Manning are eerily similar. Might be time to hire a better QB coach

At this point it’s not hard to imagine Arch putting up a game like this early in conference play before the wheels fall the fuck off.

What a hilarious game that was. Me and a few buddies drove up there for it and had a great time.

Yes, 1, that was a typo. I really don't know why you're suffering here. I'm not saying Arch can't be better. I'm saying that right now, in this moment, he is atrocious. Yes, worse than GG except for maybe one GG game, atrocious. Why you think that is a victory of some sort for you I cannot fathom.

I don’t think it’s a victory. I think the hyperbole is dumb as shit.

I had watched Arch highlights from last season recently , but not the 24 spring game.  Looks like a totally different dude.  Slingin it all over the place.  Jesus, what a downfall.  Also Trey Owens can throw a forward pass, so there's that.

How on fucking earth is it hyperbole?!? He literally had a worse completion percentage, lower rating, and less yards than GG had in any game except 1. Those are hard, objective numbers. The hard, objective numbers are that Arch YESTERDAY was worse than typical GG. Significantly worse.

Caldwell threw 3 picks vs South Alabama. That’s the other option at quarterback

Well if Arch can’t pull the trigger and when he does, it’s wildly inaccurate, we don’t have much choice. I didn’t see any QB play as bad as ours yesterday. We’re staring down the barrel of a melt down season, so if I’m Sark, I’m getting at least 2 QBs live reps against Sam Houston. Obviously what’s happening in practice isn’t translating.

Literally, what are the odds Texas gets a manning, he was supposed to be at least good possibly great. Showed flashes last year, and then we get this guy. Feel sorry for the kid but our luck, seriously. I never thought we could get on Tyrone Swoopes level again.

Same with Quinn, granted still a hell of a lot better than arch but he was “supposed” to be like Trevor Lawerence, 1.00. You don’t miss on those guys.

Arch can’t hold Quinn’s water right now but our QB luck is insane.

Did someone do something weird to get vy and colt and now we’re screwed forever.

I’m in a similar headspace…based on recruiting we ‘should’ be so much better off than we are

Because it’s one game. You can’t just ignore every other piece of evidence. Does he have the capability to score touchdowns? Yes. Did he have an awful game yesterday? Yes.
You said you’d take Swoops over Arch. Not arch yesterday, just Arch period. That’s hyperbolic and fucking dumb.

I don’t disagree. If Caldwell is playing QB then we are fully committing to the melt down season. At least with Arch there is the possibility of it getting better, regardless of how slim that may be.

Should do what Saban did vs USF a few years ago….start Caldwell for the first half and Lacey for the second half or go 1/3 2/4 quarters

At least that game allowed the team to know for sure that Milroe was the guy. It might help Arch and the team to see the backups go eat shit too lulz

Watching that video makes me wonder if we are coaching our QBs to have that terrible arm action. Quinn, Arch, and Trey all have it.

My tin hat theory is that he banged too many coeds and now they are all trying to get him. That shit is scary to think of in college. Girls telling you that they are pregnant.

It’s really just rhythm for the offense. That’s what they need right now more than anything. Sark isn’t going to ask the world of Caldwell; he just needs to execute the most basic day one install routes.

Caldwell as a bus driver to hit open receivers and move the sticks is exactly what this offense needs. Which is why Sark will stubbornly never let it happen. Once we have success with Caldwell, it's portal time for Arch and an admission of failure in his development.

Sark going away from ewers the same as going away from arch would admit sark failed. He cannot have that. Genius and what not

Would Texas be better with Maalik Murphy at QB?   He's not tearing it up for the Beavers, but the supporting cast there is weak.

I would argue Murphy was better in his starts ere than this version of Manning. But Murphy also had a better supporting cast.

Heres a suggestion: stop coaching him

literally dont talk to the dude all game, just send in the plays and high five him every time he comes off the field. So crazy it just might work

That seems to be what we are doing.

He is already failing. This team is headed for an old fashioned Mack Brown style 65-13 beat down by OU in the RRS.

Nah dog. This defense ain’t giving up 65 to Oklahoma freakshow Brent veggie stick. No way, no how.

Offensive master mind, qb whisperer, play design genius, play calling wizard.

Although he’s schemed a ton of guys open the first three games of the season.

So I was masochistically perusing social media to read people's reactions on Arch's abysmal performance and some Texas fans were swearing up and down Arch is an alcoholic.  They said he's at Fiji (I guess that's a frat?) every night getting plastered.  Surely that's just nonsense, right?

Heard from a buddy was an SAE last year that he is at their house all the time. Pretty sure Arch’s brother is a member. I’d surprised if he’s there all the time and I don’t think that’s why he’s playing terrible.

So... I was doing push-ups one day when I was in my early 20s... I felt a severe pain in my right shoulder on one rep. The pain lasted for less than a week, but I had to change my throwing motion for football or baseball... and never recovered the same after 30 years. Occasionally a random throw just goes in the dirt or looks like a seven year old girl threw it with two hands... And I cannot do anything about it.

I am willing to bet a six pack of donuts that he has some type of impingement / cuff issue, so it affects his entire motion from time to time and he's trying to learn how to flick the ball.

But he also has terrible footwork often, which is mental...

I hope I am wrong about the shoulder.

this sounds plausible

if true the 'wrong pushup' had to have happened in wednesday full pads before they got on the plane to columbus

his first throw at the shoe was squints/byu

maybe an aggy works at warby parker and made his last set of contacts?

sark's calls are working - tons of open receivers

A lot of it is the bright lights that come with Texas. Instead of recruiting "ball players" it's a lot of time high star rated players. Colt being the outlier and ironically one of the best. The misses have been bad.

Nobody's scoring 65 points against our defense.  Now if you say Arch pulls a Jamie Howard and throws a shit load of pick-sixes, you could be right.

warby parker, disney, any cigars that put in.......   ???

If that is any factor on whether or not he plays and the university would be willing to just burn a season and fuck over the seniors and guys like Hill, Lefau, etc. Then fuck this program, coach, AD, boosters. Because that is a mockery of the game.

And yet Trey Owens has apparently reached the point where they don't trust him to be 2nd or maybe even 3rd string so they took an emergency QB from the portal. Good job Milwee

I thought I said that. But with 4th and go for it and qb play and third quarter woes I think the rest of my critiques also apply.
