Ironically, Weekend at Bernie's came out today in 1989.

Biden was 46 years old at the time... Bernie was 49.

Road to the DNC?

We’re living in Part 2 where he’s just walking around by himself to the music and nobody seems to notice he’s dead.

Just sayin'.

If anyone knew Thursday was going to happen there would have been a slew of primary candidates. That farcical debate performance would have happened before the first primary and we wouldn’t be here. Fuck him and his whole team

What sucks is we all did this math in 2020 (the actual one. Not today, joe).  We were like “maybe he'll just serve one term?” “I think that what he said.  Didn’t he say that?”

I'm of the opinion that the polling is gamed by respondents and that Biden is probably actually ahead in the determining states and from that prism I'd say riding this out with Biden is still the proper course ahead.  That said, I can see the case for going with Harris as the lead up to Election Day will likely come with enough opportunities to stumble and if Biden does in any of those, it may happen when it's too late to do anything about it.

I will say that if it is Harris she better be running as incumbent President.  It won't work otherwise.

So whatever might be happening behind the curtains, they need to get Biden to resign now if Harris is the play.

National Review (most writers actually not Trump fans) had a post that noted that you can blame the GOP electorate for Trump. The GOP primary had lots of choices, from different parts of government, from different parts of the conservative political spectrum. They chose Trump. If he flames out, it’s on them.

They contrasted with the Dem primaries, where the party very much limited the field to ease the path of the incumbent. Their point was that if Biden flames out, you have to blame Dem leadership and not the electorate.

I think today’s speech says it’s his intent to continue.  If they were already setting the stages to exit, he can’t be saying “I’d only withdraw if the lord almighty came down and told me.”  Just not savvy to set yourself up for being a liar.
so if he’s going out, it’s because his mind is changed later.

This is Mack Brown not being reachable to fire because he’s “killing himself recruiting” in Florida

This was happening before their eyes.  Contingencies should’ve been discussed in 2022 maybe sooner

I’m not sure this is true except for his inner circle

Biden has to project that unwavering opinion that he is President and the running for re-election every time he is asked until that moment that he announces he's stepping down.  There is no other answer.

I doubt what is occurring behind the scenes reflects the public answers to those questions.

President Biden has a lot to be proud of. From an economic perspective, his industrial policy is spot on. Restoring our diplomatic image was masterful. He moved us away from the abyss. But it is time for him to withdraw with honor so he may be celebrated by Americans who care about this nation. I have no doubt he is trying his best to beat Trump, but unfortunately his best will not be enough.

What sucks is even trumps inner circle had a couple guys that chose what was best for the country. Biden’s are all lackeys.

That was not good enough.  He’s got to go.

If I didn’t know better, I’d suspect that there is a uniparty deep state that is steering Trump back to the White House  by propping him up and orchestrating this clusterfuck on the Democratic side to produce the worst campaign possible.

Our only hope is that Biden drops out and/or there is an actual fire building around the recent Epstein documents smoke.

McDonald's need to introduce a triple Big Mac (they can call it the MAGA Mac) with extra large fries value meal that comes with a free milkshake.  Offer it to former presidents at half price and hope Trump eats himself to death before November.

If his narcissism costs us our democracy, I will take the runniest shit on his grave when he dies in 2026.

I wonder what's going on in one of the normal timelines.

I'm married to Ana de Armas but I recently replaced Margot Robbie as my mistress with Sydney Sweeney. I also have a very old but passionate relationship with Marisa Tomei going back decades that Ana accepts. The POTUS is Gen-X by the way. Due to a recent plague that only targeted Boomers that generation is only represented by a couple hundred thousand people now.

The Texas Longhorns dynasty is still running strong because Colt never got hurt. Texas A&M no longer exists. Mack Brown hosts a morning talk show with Kelly Rippa.

I don't give a shit who is the nominee on the goddamn left. I'd rather vote for a cadaver than fascism.

FUCK FASCISTS.

Another stupid hypothetical question. What was Joe supposed to say? That if he didn’t win it would mean the election was rigged? That he’d be in the depths of despair because it meant democracy was dead? That he wasn’t going to lose?

What if this happens? How would you respond?

How many questions took that form? It kind of seemed like George has his mind made up that Joe should drop out of the race and that informed all of his questions.

He's supposed to treat it like what would have happened if the allies would have lost to Hitler. Losing is not an option, and he has to win at any cost.

I don't give a shit who the nominee on the goddamn left is. I'd rather vote for a cadaver than fascism.

if you reflect back in my last four years, you can see how much we’ve accomplished.   I’m confident that I can accomplish even more the next four years.  However, I can see that I may not be the best candidate to win this election.  I will gladly step down if it is in the best interest of the country I love

Biden is the only one that can win 120 days until the election. This is quite literally the worst case scenario unfolding before our eyes. Too late to get a real contender who can beat Trump and not late enough that Biden cratered and has deteriorated in front of the electorates eyes 4 months too early.

Yep. Biden gives us the best shot IMO.

It isn't Kamala who was like 6th or 7th in the 2020 primary and couldn't make it to the first caucus.

It isn't Bernie who was second in the 2020 dem primary.  He is 82 years old and all the ageists have told us what that means.

It isn't Pete, Warren, or Klobuchar.   The Bernie Bros ditched Clinton and gave the white house to Trump because they felt cheated even though Bernie lost the popular vote as well as the electors. Imagine how they will react when the nominee actually lost the primary.

It is ride or die with Joe.  Maybe we make a switch.  I'll support that person 100%.  But it will be like when Charlie Strong lost to Kansas.

I think by the end of next week, virtually every prominent democrat in the country (no former presidents) will be calling for Joe to drop out.

You might be right, but that's exactly what Trump would like to see.  Joe is our best bet to minimize the probability Trump wins.

We can't acknowledge the truth, because that's what Biden and the radical left Trump and the radical right wants.

I believed this after the debate.

I don't believe it anymore.
