The top 7 WRs on this list are transfer portal pickups. Really makes you wonder about the ROI when recruiting high school WRs.

Christ Almighty not getting a couple warm bodied upperclassmen OL was such a colossal fuck up.

I said it back in the spring. It wasn’t a mystery but there was a lot of discussion that Flood valued consistency and no one worthwhile was available (I think our resident expert had that pov).

I have a problem with that line of thinking.  We should be recruiting who we want to the portal.  We should not be limited by who enters.

Bruh there are dozens of p4 starting OL that were picked up this offseason in the portal. Like wtf are you even trying to say?

Yes, Pat Coogan would have helped us. The Ducks' three redshirt senior transfer offensive linemen have been difference makers - Nevada Wolfpack left tackle Isaiah World, USC Trojans left guard Emmanuel Pregnon and Texas State Bobcats right tackle Alex Harkey. Yet we picked up no one. I don't even recall us trying to pick anyone up.

We went after Pregnon.

I bet we land 3or 4 o lineman this offseason.

Is that assuming Sark maintains credibility with the guys needed to make bidding for transfers happen?

Tanking a number one preseason ranking, after probably telling everyone you don't need offensive lineman, might make some people clutch their wallets tighter.

Is he the guy that had that insane catch on the sideline that was incomplete?

last two years we got some great production out of transfer WRs. There has to be more culture fit guys in the portal.

Seems like a pretty easy sell.

Sark: "Ever heard of Mathew Golden? AD Mitchell? X Worthy? Just do what I tell you to do and you'll get drafted. We cultured?"

Also I helped DeVonta Smith win the Heisman.

All we had to do - ALL WE FUCKING HAD TO DO - was go get a couple of corn fed experienced IOL from fucking Temple or New Mexico or where the fuck ever. Not NFL prospects, just nasty guys that know what to do. They’d still get beat physically by Georgia but we’d be so much better off in general. And we wouldn’t fucking do it.

Can players actually enter the portal during the season?

Perkins had a great first year where all he was asked to do was rush the passer. He shined. Playing an every down LB is just a wee tad more difficult.
