Guys, as an objective observer, let me give you a pep talk.

This is a difficult environment to open the season.  Maryland isn’t terrible, they know they’re not supposed to win this game, and they’re at home.  They’re going to play with reckless abandon.

Texas is rusty, all the pressure is on them, they’re on the road, far away from home, and the opponent doesn’t suck.

It’s not surprising Texas looks shitty but I think the horns will exhaust Maryland in the second half and pull away.   The key to a successful program in college ball is conditioning.  If you can out fatigue the opponent, you will win most of your games.

So give these boys 60 minutes of play before passing judgment. They deserve that much.

He slid pretty late to me but I'm sure they'll uphold it.  I hate all these bullshit rules.

Yep. Same as Joe flacco a couple of years ago. You run full speed at a guy and at the last second you slide and when the guy hits you, penalty. Brilliant to allow the QBs to be invincible running down the field.

Roughing the passer, pass interference, and targeting on one defensive drive.

Your move offense...

That was a complete and total display of dumbassery. Terribly coached and undisciplined players.

Not to mention we still have a total impotent offensive system that could be stopped by a good high school defense.

Do what? Sure, there is always a measurable amount of improvement for every team between games 1 and 2. But, there is also programs considered historic power houses (like us) that are supposed to not let this happen unless it is against a similar opponent. Maryland, well they ain’t that.........
