Source tells Horns247 Auburn transfer LB Robert Woodyard is setting up a visit to Texas for next week after visiting Kentucky and Missouri this weekend.

Hopefully he still makes the visit. We've seen in the past how we were supposed to get a visit and they never make it due to committing on the first/second visit.

We're hearing Connor Stroh looking at Kentucky and Northwestern

First time those two schools have been mentioned in the same sentence for any reason ever?

If he is the weakest of the OL with 2 huge new Guards next to him, he isnt the worst C you could have. Time in the offensive system and familiarity are something that has value for your C. If there are any other weak links on the OL, most of his positives go away as he lacks the mass/agility to really cover up major issues with the IOL.

Say what you want, he does at least consistently get the snap off and in the QB's hands. After watching the Oregon game yesterday, that is a skill that probably shouldn't be taken for granted.

Aside from Lee Hunter falling in love at Tech last year, I can't recall many situations where a scheduled visit didn't take place.

FWIW, someone on one of the UT boards (can’t find the link) mentioned they think Flood was saved by the high portal needs at OL, which is a bit counter-intuitive. They were concerned that if they replaced him, then getting enough OL out of the portal might have been more difficult, or at least more uncertain.

Surly: "Flood to be replaced when portal closes."

Flood saved by the problem he created.

Now to find his Epicurious page. Probably has a great croq monseur.

Purdue has won zero games in the big10 in the past two years. It is safe to say that a full roster reboot would be reasonable. They were a bit more competitive this year under Barry Odom than last year under Ryan Walters.

In 2024/2025, Purdue lost the following starters to the portal:
TE Max Klare -> tOSU
S Dillon Thieneman -> Oregon (All American)
DT Cole Brevard -> Texas
OL DJ Wingfield -> USC
OL Mahamme Moussa -> Louisville
DE Will Heldt -> Clemson
DT Jeffrey M'ba -> SMU
DB Nyland Green -> ASU
P Keelan Crimmins -> Illinios

Not saying the above is a murderers row, but having Klare, Thieneman, and Brevard likely results in 1-2 additional wins.

With the cut-paste above, I was surprised to see that someone pays for Purdue's rivals site.

Edited to add: Purdue had 54 new transfers-in this year. Most in NCAA. I suspect we'll see serious turnover again this year. To my knowledge there is no giant money-whipper behind the scenes and legit NIL opportunities in West Lafayette are modest at best. If Purdue becomes competitive again, some opportunities will surface in Indy...

we now have like 30 extra old school scholarships that are perfect for kids like this who are great 2 deep players and bleed burnt orange without costing much NIL or revshare.

hopefully he wants to get a second degree and be a part of something special

I'm really curious to know if Arch is informed or consulted on these decisions. I would think Arch had some strong feelings on this.

You'd kinda have to think as roomies and ostensible bffs they talked about it. If Arch had thoughts about it, I'd imagine the staff heard them. But that's about it.

I love that the guy has leg, but isn’t 11/15 inside the 50 kind of meh?

Also, Brown is obviously fast but as CTJ said, skipping around his highlights (so I might have missed something) most of his wow plays were against eastern Kentucky and JMU types

The North Texas kid looks like a spare.

Yeah how was that guy a semi-finalist? That % isn't that great.

On a related note, watching that Ole Miss kicker last night was amazing. That dude had 3 kicks that would've been good from 65-70. What a weapon.

It’s funny how place kicking has gotten so much better over the last 10-15 years, like it was ignored forever and suddenly people realized you could train and get better at it, and make money. Celebrating 50 yarders is done at the nfl level and getting there at the high cfb level.

Not sure if a visit was formally scheduled, but I remember Texas being a/the top school for David Bailey. Then everything switched to Tech in that recruitment

This one may come down to these two in-state rivals— and the Aggies should have the leg up.

I'm not proud of this, but visiting there and reading the comments has become something of a guilty pleasure for me. I don't know where those people came from or how they all coalesced there but it's something to behold.

I'm just minding my own darn business here in Watauga with my cup of Folgers Breakfast Blend. Hoping Sark knocks it out of the park again with these transfers but also lamenting y'all talking so much crud about these good kids like Livingstone and making them leave!!!

Gibson to Purdue would be fine with me. He's better than all the spares they have at RB right now.

We have Connor Stroh to thank for that. Given Texas does not play Kentucky next year and Purdue does not play Northwestern, I'd kind of prefer Stroh go to one of our competitors. At least we'd know where to send Kanu - on every play.

That dude in Dallas missed one from like 52 yards a couple of weeks ago and the announcers reacted like he had missed an extra point by 20 yards.

To be fair, it is rather surprising if Aubrey misses something less than 55 yards

OTF speculating Livingstone to Indiana. Cignetti approved?

I'm not going to read it, but is the obvious thing that A&M sucks?

Aggies are the least self aware people on the planet. "Why would Coleman rather play for Arch than Reed? Just because Arch is the face of college football and his last name is Manning and he's going to be the preseason Heisman favorite and then probably the first pick in the draft... I just don't get it."

I’d def want to play with the guy who throws it to the other team in every big game in my contract year

Former #1 TE prospect, seems to be following Franklin to vtech

"Marcel and Arch had pretty even stats"

Player A: 234/377 for 3,169 yards, 25 TDs, 12 INTs & 104 car, 493 yards, 6 TDs

Player B: 248/404 for 3,163 yards, 26 TDs, 7 INTs & 92 car, 400 yards, 10 TDs

Doesn't take a genius to figure out who was the better quarterback this year.

I truly can’t decide which side of the argument you’re making.

NashTalksTexas on X pointed out some interesting stats re: Coleman.

Coleman had 1 fewer drop than Wingo on 5 fewer catchable balls. So pretty similar rate.

Coleman had lower YAC and yards per route run.

But Coleman significantly more air yards.

Lines up with what CTJ has been saying about Coleman not being some drastic improvement. Idk how they compare last year.

Honestly appreciate you clearing this up. I must have read it 5-6 times trying to figure out if it was real.

They failed to mention AD Mitchell or Goldens TDs. The whole point made using yards per game and no mention of TDs.

Also there was no playoff wins talked about in that article.

The drops, sure, but for YAC and yards per route run it honestly can't be overstated how shitty Arnold was. Even when Arch was struggling early in the season Wingo was getting vastly superior qb play.

Stats are for nerds. Coleman is a first round pick in 2027
