I almost went with Madysun, because she will be a ray of sunlight in the darkness of everything that occurred at such a sacred place for all of us.  #mystic #brave #hillcountry #mommyisgoingshopping

These families aren’t from Plano, Cedar Park or Katy. They don’t do names like that.

It used to be a different demo.  Silly white kid names have creeped into the upper income brackets in the last decade.  For real.

Out of the 27 dead kids, which names do you find silly?

Dude.  We aren't going to say a single thing in jest or anything similar about dead girls, their names, or anything else.

Then who are you referring to in your post? Only the people who send their kids to Mystic who don’t die? Are they the ones who name their kids using “silly white kid names”?

Nope, not going to engage or take bait about dead children.  Not much off limits on Surly -- that sure as fuck is, at least to me.

Think he’s just saying dumbass names are everywhere and the 27 had nothing to do with the comment.

So basically what anyone with a brain would have expected the reaction to be from grieving parents.   So fucking tone deaf and frankly grossly incompetent as well if they were hoping to avoid lawsuits.  As posted above, if some parents were on the fence about suing that should tip them over.

To announce reopening without even consulting with parents of the girls that were killed is beyond ridiculous.  See quote from article below.

Had you paused to reflect — or simply consulted with any one of our families — you might have spared grieving families the additional anguish your decisions now cause. Instead, your communications have only intensified our grief."

The Steward family agony, and now unhappiness, is deep.  And while it seems they've accepted that Cile (remains) won't be found it's still been less than 3 months since the tragedy.  And promoting that the camp is being re-opened is unconscionable.

And they're right.
