How is spiking the ball behind line of scrimmage not intentional grounding. Never really understood logic behind it

Same way the play's not dead when the holder takes the snap on a FG.

Y’all miss some shit tastic football in the swamp.  Florida has a 9 point lead with 4;20 and the Bulldogs have a third and 16. Our snowflake defensive back can’t make a fucking tackle and so the guy escapes and gets a first down by a half yard.  Bulldog scores td Florida needs to hang on up 2 and get a first down with less than two minutes on the clock.  First two running plays we get 9 yards; third and one.

What does Sunbelt Billy do? Draws up a passing play where we get sacked and can’t attempt the fourth and one because it’s now fourth and seven.

Mississippi State marches down the field after the punt and they’re within the Florida 30 and gonna win with a field goal.   Mississippi states regarded coach decides he needs to keep passing even though two run plays and a field goal wins the game. Florida’s ginormous number 99 somehow makes an interception in the flat and Florida wins, very possibly depriving me of Billy being fired tonight.

Just a miserable evening

Whoever with Miss St decided to throw whilst down 2 on the 29yd line and under a minute left - should be packing their bags and GTFO. Run only, kick the FG. Total stupidity.

As I watched the coaches embrace after the game, I was thinking "There are two guys who are likely to be unemployed in the very near future."

Both Billy and that guy need to be tar and feathered and run out of town on a rail

Lol Sun Devils, seventh time's the charm. It's like watching Sark call goal line plays

It's not got a whole lot to do with the play calling in the red zone. This is on the guys on the field to figure it out. It's been a season long issue, but it's on the players to make some big plays in those situations. Last year you could just give it to Skattebo and he did his thing. Brown is good, but not that level of good.

Iowa up 10-7 on psu with 0:06 left in the half they try a ~65 yard field goal. Gets blocked, psu scoops and runs it back for a td to end the half up 14-10

This sounds like us during the Strong years so I totally empathize, but also fuck you and your team for beating us.

Well, you were no South Florida that day, but I understand.

You beat the dirt burglars. I would lose them all if we could beat Georgia like you beat the Sooners.

Nice play by BYU. It sounds crazy there - about as crazy as that many people can get without alcohol

All jacked up on mountain dew like a spider monkey

I'm honestly confused how ASU has a really good TE and a fast main RB that can get into the flats in a hurry and they're just constantly dogshit in "and goal" situations.  Like it's the playcalls, but why?  What's the fucking hurdle?

Dumbass Iowa.

Psu called a timeout on the first attempt at the kick and it came up 10 yards short, but Iowa tried it again anyway.

The hurdle is mental. I have no doubt about that. I have never been a big defender of coaches. When it happens during one game over and over I will say it’s the coach. When it happens throughout the season it’s the players because you know these issues are addressed in practice. Dillingham is a really, really good coach and I would not trade him for anyone. The offensive line has had issues this year and Leavitt, who at times can be flat out amazing like the 4th down conversion, can also still make some really dumb decisions the closer we get to the end zone. Players just have to make plays. Leavitt made enough plays today, but it’d be nice to win a game by double digits because your offense is putting up 7 every trip instead of 3. We have the best QB, WR and I’d argue the best groups of DE’s in the conference yet every single big game is a rock fight because of not finishing drives.
