For those of you so certain Missouri is going to beat aggy, they are tied with fucking Auburn in a rock fight.

Aggy beat Auburn by a score of 16-10, with a fuck ton of help by the officials.

Don’t forget, beating Texas is like a super bowl win for many. I wouldn’t know why but it is. Horns win on the road \m:

I think this line of thought needs to stop. we have 1 championship in the past 55 years. many schools have one multiple with different coaches in that time span.  lsu (miles, saban, orgeron).

usc

ohio state

michigan

not including  alabama because the majority were with saban.

yes the 2005 team was awesome, but we are more minnesota than ohio-state/lsu. this is just to make us feel good. why would we be the superbowl of teams rather than these other teams with multiple natties with different coaches. wouldnt suprise be if alabama is there with deboer before we sniff one with the squatter.

I had no idea what he was thinking.  No one thought there was any way in hell we were going to drive 25 yards for a TD.  Kick the FG then wait for the offense to do something really stupid and knock ourselves out of FG range.

That's 100% exactly what I was thinking. I could be a college football coach apparently.

Lol, its the fucking Head Coach, his shitty game plan, his horrible off season practice habits, his shitty offensive player development and his shitty staff.

I don't disagree. I do think our sieve of an o-line and Arch totally whiffing on wide open players also contributes.

In 1988 on our way to 4-7, we had to come from behind to beat North Texas State at home with 45 seconds remaining in the game.  But, yeah, tonight was not fun.

And Cash was out of bounds so it really was worse I guess.

Have you seen Arkansas defense? They’re garbage. If Texas doesn’t score at 24, then sark and arch are even worse than we’ve been saying.

Kentucky’s defense was 15 out of 16 in the SEC and we had 8 first downs against them.

Thats fair, and i don't disagree. I am of the opinion that coaches are responsible for player development and running a scheme that aligns to their abilities as well as taking advantage of what a defense offers.

Ours does none of the above.

LOL Arch is the most pressured QB in college football. His coach is responsible for his development. We ran for 44 fucking yards against Kentucky.

Stop blaming the players.

you can keep repeating yourself but players are a part of it, no one, including me is absolving Sark at all. there are times when he has time and completely misses open receivers...by a LOT.

We squandered maybe the best defense we've ever had last year with multiple NFL offensive players.

We agree on who is to blame, just not the length/depth of blame.

I mean they were in the Semifinals with the ball inside the 10 yard line against the eventual national champs. Sure you can say “squandered” but they just got beat by a better team honestly.

Stop giving the players a pass when they’re not performing either.

you keep putting all the blame on sark when the fucking QB can’t hit a simple 5 yard route at a higher than 60% clip. If that.

no one is saying the Coach is blameless. But only a blind moron would think the QB isn’t fucking horrible at hitting open WRs.

You can’t be fucking serious. We can’t blame Arch Manning for not being able to hit a crossing route or a man with nobody within fifteen yards of him?

Nah. Shut the fuck up. Just because Sark sucks doesn’t mean Arch doesn’t as well.

He didn't get any help because he didn't throw any catchable balls for the majority of the game. Manning is the #1 problem with this offense. He just doesn't have it mentally or fundamentally.

Except when it was Ewers last year holding on to the ball and self sacking and missing throws. And we all knew them Texas was also wasting a great defense.

If only there was a common denominator who was being paid millions to build the side of the ball that is supposed to be his specialty.

I don't think teams like beating us because they think we are a great team. I think it is more like beating up on the rich, spoilt kid who can't shut up about great he is, when the reality is different. There is a certain kind of pleasure in that. And I think that part is true.

You forgot the hold on first down.

I said it upthread but Sark is scheming open receivers like every other good OC.  Guys are open.  Arch doesn’t see them then has no time to move to the next read.  But he shouldn’t have to.  Receivers are open over and over in immediate windows Arch keeps missing it.

Sark didn’t just now forget how to call offense.  He could be doing better and doesn’t get a pass. But this is too fast for Arch.

I've already suggested Arch should portal to find a decent OC.

I'm not saying Arch doesn't have issues, I hold our coaching staff responsible for not having a clue on how to develop QBs. We all watched Ewers regress during his time at Texas.

Arch has gotten worse since last year.

I hold our OC and HC responsible.

If Sark isn't accountable for Arch being bad and getting worse, who is?

I think the central problem there was the OL.  It was never championship level, never really blocked a good run game, and never let Ewers feel completely comfortable.

You understand both sark can be a problem and the QB isn’t doing his job right?

like both can be true.

Exactly.  I’m not giving sark any kid of pass for the way the team is performing. Or some play calls.

but you’re fucking lying if  you don’t see open WRs that are being quite sorely missed.

We're going to squander a good to great defense on this shit show of an offense Sark has built.  It's his offense, since he's designated himself that position, so the blame is solely his.

For the third straight year. I fear Sarks title window has closed.

Meanwhile Texas fans are literally replaying last year.

Ewers sucks! Put in Arch!

Arch sucks! Put in Caldwell!

Caldwell won't start next year but if he did, with a full offseason and "coaching" from Sark, guess who would suck then.

We’ve played 4 good defenses and scored 7, 21, 16, and 13 offensive points in regulation.  We just fucking suck on offense.  QB is inaccurate, OL is physically weak and slow footed, and the OC is full of hubris.   It’s not going to improve.  Any team with a good defense and its  is going to be a beating to watch us play against.
