I was highly disappointed when the hotdog cart (very good dogs made to order plus a tap beer from the bar for $1.25)  back in the Barabary Coast sports book went away after that hotel/casino reimagined itself into a snob joint.

The Piero’s news is completely depressing.

The articles of the sale were from June. I'm somewhat optimistic that they haven't fucked things up too badly in around 6 months. But this might be the last voyage of the demeter, so to speak.

Yep. I haven’t been to Vegas in quite a while. That restaurant was run with the oversight of the old man in the way he set things up. I interacted with him a few times and you could just tell his fingerprints were on the culture of the place. I always assumed the son would take over (I never met him) and keep the traditions going. Little did I know he was a problem and not the future of the place.

From reading the comments about it on the LasVegaslocally Twitter feed from earlier in the year, I’m not too optimistic on how this new ownership will do but we can only hope they don’t fuck it up.

Someone should post their next experience here for the rest of us to get an update.

I wasn't aware of the sale and ate there in June with my wife. Obviously, nothing had changed then. I'll be there with SC in a few weeks, we'll report back.
