okay, okay, okay. fox isn't working for us anymore is an amazing admission. i mean, we thought he thought that all along, but he's basically acknowledging that he thought of a public company as an arm of his administration.

fucking incredible.

Have you seen the showtime show, "Loudest Voice in the Room"? It's a good look at how Fox News was put together.

Many of us saw this coming. A basic fact about Trump is that he has no principles beyond his own self-interest and he attacks anyone who threatens that interest.  Republicans / “conservatives” who thought Trump was on their side are about to find out that the only ideology that protects you from an attack by Trump is “Trump Uber Alles.”

His base won’t give a shit, because they are cultists. But hopefully Trump attacking the media voice of the far right (or what USED to be the far right) will shake some of those assholes awake.

the power brokers at foxnews will turn on him as soon as they decide he's responsible for their shrinking personal investment portfolio. it'll be another clear indicator they believe in nothing beyond 'fuck everybody, i want mine.'

In Trump’s primitive brain, they are already turning on him because of Donna Brazile’s hiring.

For awhile DJ is going to be using the four letter word, 'Wall' to avoid the other four letter word, 'Bank.'

Funny he uses the word, "Obstruction," since that is what he is going to be doing for quite awhile...

And a wall is an obstruction.  Total obstruction everywhere!

Fox News willingly signed on to this craziness. They deserve whatever scorn Trump sends their way.    History is full of people and organizations that Trump cozied up to, then treated like shit the moment they became less useful in his eyes.  Loyalty to the President is only what you can provide today.

As for him bankrolling some kind of media project assuming he is out of office, that's wishful thinking.  He would license his name to something existing, but he sure as shit can't afford to setup a pirate radio station in Juarez.  Having a Twitter handle is the only thing his broke ass can afford.

OANN will become one trump news network.

surely there is some way to make a wager about that

Apologies for the double post:

Trump demands apology from NBC News over ‘false and defamatory’ report, threatens legal action in scorching letter

Quote

President Trump's legal team sent a harshly worded letter to NBC Wednesday demanding an apology and retraction for “false and defamatory, and extremely damaging” comments made by liberal MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell, who ran with a singled-sourced, unverified report that Trump had loans co-signed by Russian oligarchs.

The letter obtained by Fox News was sent by Trump’s legal counsel to NBC Universal executives.

“We write concerning the false and defamatory statements published by Lawrence O’Donnell and NBC Universal,” the letter said.

Of course Fox News obtained the letter. Like there's a surprise.

This Deutsche Bank thing has Trump spooked. This is what he does when bad news is about to hit.

I wonder if it's spooked FOX, too. If Trump is about to take a hard, inevitable fall, FOX may be bailing out so they won't have to remain apologist in chief to the traitor in chief.

"We're not biased, we reported the scandal like everyone else. Fair and balanced. We report, you ignite."

Edit: Hoo boy! Was I late with this response or what?

I was in a heated discussion with a Trump voting friend last year who was spouting a bunch of shit like "open borders" and "socialist dems" and I told him he needed to stop watching Fox.  He quickly shot back that he actually watches OANN and not Fox because it's more balanced.  Just had to laugh.

so Fox is for the old regards and OANN is for the newbie regards?

He seems to be tweeting  more the last few days, how many tweets are we up to this week? And with the amount of tweeting he does, there is no way he is actually doing any work. He probably sits in meetings on his phone.

https://factba.se/topic/calendar

narrarator: he wasn't in any meetings that day. he was, in fact, just watching tv and rage-tweeting.

(honestly, he ahs done fuckall since returning from the G7.)

A lot of the Twitter comments relating to the Fox tweet of Trumps recommend OANN but for all I know it is bot driven. Since I don't Twitter, myself, I rarely focus on if an account is real or not as it doesn't affect the whole following/likey thing in order to read them. Hardly anyone makes those accounts private, but I guess that is the point.

Just noticed he met with the Secretary of the Interior according to that calendar. I suppose they will be discussing the destruction of the National Parks.

"How many national parks can we open up to exploitation?"

You know that was the question.

Apparently they have reduced the comment time period from 60 days to 10 according to this article.

https://www.outdoorlife.com/is-trump-administration-really-looking-out-for-outdoorsmen-and-women-that-might-be-up-to-interior/

That makes it a little tougher for Joe Public to discover and protest when actions are in the works.

Bernhardt plans to open new hunting and fishing opportunities on 74 national wildlife refuges and 15 national fish hatcheries in time for this fall's hunting seasons. This is similar to a Zinke initiative that opened new opportunities in 30 wildlife refuges in 2018. Bernhardt says he hopes these new access opportunities will keep more sportsmen and women in the field.

“This President fundamentally understands that sportsmen, without them out there in the field, we face some real challenges on the wildlife side,” Bernhardt says. “If we don’t do things to enhance [hunter and angler] participation, how do you really think we’re going to pay for wildlife conservation going forward?”

Wildlife and public land groups cheered Bernhardt's refuge plans, then just a few weeks later, those same groups were up in arms over the appointment of William Perry Pendley, a fervent critic of federal public lands, as the acting head of the BLM.

William Perry PendleyWilliam Perry Pendley, who has advocated that the Federal government should dispose of it's public lands, now heads up the Bureau of Land Management.BLM

Pendley has penned books about federal overreach in the West, served in the DOI during the Reagan administration where he earned his reputation as the "Sagebrush Rebel," and once argued in an article for the National Review that "The Founding Fathers intended all lands owned by the federal government to be sold."

Last night I made an error in judgment by reporting an item about the president’s finances that didn’t go through our rigorous verification and standards process. I shouldn’t have reported it and I was wrong to discuss it on the air. I will address the issue on my show tonight.

The tweet underneath it is the original reporting from last night with the same claims. If he is retracting, he should probably delete it.
