  1. Players are starting to use their platforms to be heard on topics affecting themselves and their communities. The mix of sports and CR is now the norm. Deal with it or get a new hobby where you don't have to hear what black kids think about their status in society.

  2. Well, this weekend was fun, but we're back to recruiting. Those of you who have spilled over from the football board, fuck off home. Those of you that exposed yourselves as football boarders this weekend, fuck on home. Today is a Coffbraheemukkah. This is a celebration, motherfuckers.

  3. It's really fucking telling that people continue to not take these kids at their word, and instead assume that taking a position advocating for racial equality is some sort of disingenuous scam.

  4. Give me a break. Nobody is debating estate tax or the impact of a progressive tax plan on the economy at large here. OAN expressly undermines black people's fight to simply be treated equally or simply not get killed in the streets for having the nerve to exist. Gundy is a dumbass for buying into their bullshit and he's even more of a dumbass for wearing that shirt.

  5. I'll never understand how some people confuse "freedom of opinion" with "freedom from social repurcussions of having fucktarded opinions".

  6. Of course he can have whatever political views he wants, but if he’s going to lead a bunch of young black players, he probably shouldn’t be wearing gear for a right wing false conspiracy outlet that is vilifying anyone who speaks out against social injustices. And players are free to play for coaches who don’t support that shit.

  8. Conservatives: Title 7 could not apply to transgenders cause they had no such concept at the time he law was written! Also Conservatives- Of course the 2A applies to assault rifles, armor piercing bullets and any future weapons. Also we can ignore the who “militia” wording cause sticking to ‘original text’ is highly relative

  9. Might I suggest Gundy slip into one of my super comfy "I'd Rather Be Laying PIpe!" t-shirts that come in a variety of flattering colors.

  10. As I'm reading this, I'm thinking back to conservative cancel culture, where I couldn't walk into a bar and order a drink. I wasn't allowed to have a job in the government, and if I got caught having sex, my name and address was published in the newspaper so I could be blacklisted. All because I'm gay. It encouraged people like me to go into hiding and not to be authentic in our public lives. Same was true of the commies during the red scare. What the people you are talking about will have to learn how to do is the same thing we did, and that's to keep their fucking mouth shut when they have unpopular opinions. So what you are worried about is nothing new in America, the target audience of who has to learn to be quiet has simply changed, and the implied threat of government force is being removed. I don't disagree with you, by the way, that this isn't a great thing. However, there are 2 things that need to be called out. #1 This is nothing new in America, though the examples i'm providing are the government enforcing cancel culture, like they tried to cancel the gays and the commies above. And #2, I have the right as an American not to support financially those people that I find repugnant, and I'll continue to do so. I've got to tell you I'm much more comfortable with this being something that a bunch of millennials are doing on social media where I can choose to participate or ignore, rather than the government making the decision for me.

  11. I was honestly lukewarm on Biden but nonetheless 100% voting for him. As this shit plays out I increasingly believe Biden’s DC tenure may be his biggest asset. A knowledge about properly functioning government and a Rolodex to capably refill positions will be critical to unfucking trump’s damage.

  12. Houston, but yeah- the consensus over under seems to be 2-3 months. Me to wife- how much was the bill at Walmart her- $400. Me- what the fuck- you had like 9 bags of groceries is all her- I don’t know that’s just what it was o have the receipt me- checking receipt- how many blankets did you buy? her- just 2 me- well it says here you bought 6. Also- did you buy 4 of this item and 3 of that item? her- no- I can’t believe they charged me for all that stuff I didn’t buy me- do you, at any point (trailing off and mumbling incoherently because I know the futility of it all) but what I was going to ask was- have any rough approximation of the value of stuff you put in the shopping cart, but recognized that’s just silly to expect that. Next Sunday we will go grocery shopping as a family- that’s on me. So, shopping at 8:00 am or whatever, put groceries up, go to church, go out to eat (decided on one meal out in every place that gives a flavor of the indiginous to the area specialty for the kids- that’s part of culture and America after all) and then check in at 2:00. All that said/ I showed the boy around the RV and we talked about how it worked- I saw him do tricks on his bike- we went swimming together me and the 3 kids, we all pitched in to set up camp and then we read together. None of that shit was happening at home. My 9 year old got a dandelion for me and told me to make a wish/ I did and then blew it out. She asked me what I wished for. I told her that I will be a good daddy to her, full of patience and that I will share a love of country and sense of adventure with them on this trip- and we will grow closer and stronger as a family. today I saw some stuff that makes me think this can all happen, and some stuff that makes me wonder how long we will make it.

  13. Watching Moana with the kids reminded of this today so figured I’d share. A little long so sorry in advance. Years ago we were in Mexico and I pointed out some coconut trees near our room. Later that night the wife told me that she didn’t think they were coconuts because they were green and not brown. I told her that I was pretty sure they were (knowing I was right) but dropped it since we were on vacation. The only problem was that she was sure I was wrong and mentioned it every time we passed the trees (which was multiple times a day). I basically was just giving noncommittal responses and it really started to irritate her, so she started asking random staff/guests who all agreed that it was indeed a coconut tree. After a few days she blew up at me and showed me a picture of a ‘brown coconut’ she found online, so I finally pulled up a video of people husking coconuts and explained how the ‘brown’ is inside the green husk. She was very upset by this turn of events and went from being mad at me for not telling her this before she made a fool of herself asking everyone about the tree, and jumping back into denial stating that we still didn’t know that it was a coconut tree because we hadn’t seen proof that a ‘brown coconut’ was inside. On our last day she found a ‘green coconut’ that fell out of a tree and spent nearly 20 minutes trying to open it before telling me I needed to open it for her. I told her no, that it was a big pain in the ass and that I was done with all of this. She pouted but eventually relented because we had a nice dinner planned that night and still had to pack up for the trip home. Going through customs on the way back guess what was in one of our bags that she conveniently forgot to declare causing us to miss our connecting flight home?

  14. There used to be a poster on Hornfans called "Texas", and his sig was "How'd I get blessed enough to get this name?" It was a question worth asking, because he proved he really wasn't worthy of it every time he posted. I hadn't thought of him in about 10-12 years, until just now.

  17. CDC is meeting with athletes later this week. He wants the meetings to be in person. But the bigger conversation, where the alums have requested to come back and speak with the current students and discuss what the Eyes means to them is being targeted for sometime in July. So there are your timelines. Whether the kids stay off recruiting activities till then is unclear, but with no visits allowed till the fall it looks like they're working to knock this shit out sooner as opposed to later. FWIW.

  19. Mitch is a symptom. The Senate structure is the disease which has our nation on the brink of collapse. It should be the lower chamber and get the House of Lords treatment. Instead it allows a tyrannical minority party to essentially control all 3 branches of government. It can outright block new legislation, can dictate court appointments, and can control executive enforcement.

  20. It hit me yesterday when Macanudo-ette #1 asked me about this. Bed time for my girls when we were in Alaska and Washington included The Eyes of Texas. One night in Alaska when Macanudo-ette #1 was about 18 months old, it had been a majorly trying day in Macanudoland. Due to drama with Mrs. Macanudo I was not on my game and that included not singing The Eyes of Texas to my daughter. I put her to bed. A few minutes went by and then..... "Daddy........ Daddy.........." Over and over. I was tired. I was frazzled. I was worn out. I walked back upstairs to her room and all but flung the door open. As I walked in, her little voice said...... " You didnt sing Texas." I blundered my way through it. The Eyes of Texas is something special.

  23. What in the living fuck? Drunk guy, possibly mentally ill, sleeping at a bus stop. That's plain murder, no two ways about it. And 100% avoidable. I mean, I do some mental health training with police. This situation is so fucking elementary to deal with. Approach gently, without weapons drawn, and clearly describe options for helping the guy. Crisis Intervention Training 101. Instead they gear up like they're in fucking Abbottabad hunting down Bin Laden. Jesus. This is what "defund the police" is about. That guy needed a case manager, a social worker, or a substance abuse expert to get him off the street, not the police.

  30. the song unifies hundreds of thousands, while it potentially "disenfranchises" a very small minority of people who *just* found out that some guy from 150 years was racist and suddenly decided they were too woke to stand for singing a song that he wrote (better boycott the anthem too). i don't think any decent person wants to do anything that makes a group of people feel disenfranchised, but the fact that a small minority of woke zealots suddenly decided that this song hurts their feelings is *not* a valid reason to end this tradition that has meant so much good for so many hundreds of thousands if not millions of people. how many famous and celebrated musicians in the last 100 years have been drunks, drug addicts, philanderers, liars, cheaters, womanizers, rapists, and criminals? did we all rush to stop listening to their music? nope. same goes for Hollywood. how many of your favorite movies were produced/made by anyone associated with Harvey Weinstein or any other of Hollywood's slimeballs? How many of our favorite actors are just as bad as those musicians? have we boycotted Hollywood? no, we have not. Like I said from the beginning, 90% or more of what our athletes are asking for is totally on point, and needed, and long overdue. but the super weak reasoning for doing away with The Eyes does not come close to being a valid reason to end this tradition. It just doesn't. I know that that's not what the kids want to jeRX but the kids also want all black uniforms, a different shade of orange, and goofy stickers on the helmets. This attempt to get rid of The Eyes is a bridge too far. I will never be on board with it for many, many obvious reasons.

  34. It’s not news. For example they broadcast garbage stats attempting to justify a premise that police violence against black people isn’t that bad. I can see why some black players would think his support for that kind of crap is offensive
