Conservative who avoids the CR religiously here to interrupt your normal conversation... FUCK. THIS. SHIT. HE. HAS. LOST. HIS. FUCKING. MIND. The smooth, timely transition of power is the cornerstone of our Democracy. ANY attempt to thwart or obfuscate this should be met with swift rebuke. Please return to your normally schedule programming. Peace out.34 points

Uh, pardon me, I firmly believe and have claimed vehemently at multiple cocktail parties that the reason nobody remembers or talks about our 2005 season is because we didn't get a chance to show the world our stuff against the LSU tigers.13 points

I mean as a defensive coordinator, you’d tell your guys to stand there and do nothing too if the opposing offense kept taking snaps and running backwards through their own endzone.12 points

What is still a little murky is how they're going to choose every team's additional conference opponents....Tougher sledding, indeed. In semi-related news, the Aggies and Longhorns are not meeting on the field, no matter how hard Chris Del Conte and Tom Herman whine about to the media. However, the rivalry is alive and well behind the scenes, as wanna-be mountain man 'CDC' is going to have to walk back his previous claims of 50% capacity at DKR. You see, it's sounding more and more like 25% is going to be the reality in Travis County. Meanwhile, A&M has maintained they'd shoot for 50% at Kyle Field all along, with fans being able to decide whether attending games was right for them or not. I'm expecting the Ags to stick with that, which will place a great deal of pressure on the Texas decision-makers, who would catch an incredible amount of heat from their season ticket holders. Can you imagine if A&M is playing at 50% capacity and Texas half that???So try and predict Texas' current play. Yep, you guessed it. They're almost certainly going to attempt to go the political route, likely asking our Longhorn Governor to exert a little behind-the-scenes leverage on TAMU brass to go along with the other in-state programs at 25%. I don't think it's going to work, but we'll see. Stay tuned. -Speaking of the Horns, have you guys noticed the pitiful army of talking heads spouting off their typical envious nonsense over the past few days? These blowhards are so excited about being able to lose the LSU game in Baton Rouge and play what will probably be an all-Big 12 slate plus maybe a conf-vs-conf one-off with someone like the Mountain West yet they're going all-in the other way and are now talking smack about the SEC doing exactly what the B1G and Pac-12 are planning to do. The collection of Burnt Orange mouthpieces are actually bragging about playing an easier schedule while other programs' slates are actually getting infinitely tougher and don't even realize how apropos and on-brand this all is.11 points

I'll keep posting this from time to time as it strikes me, but it's so strange that we're having public, voter-level debate on the efficacy of different treatments and testing methods. It's akin to having the public debating rocket design because nobody at NASA or Jet Propulsion seems to know what they're doing. We're supposed to have people on the payroll who know about this. Instead, we a giant diffusive screen between us and any semblance of scientific certainty. We have pronouncements from the top so obviously unqualified that we have better qualified debate on a fucking football board. This isn't ecconomic policy or war policy or some other gray area policy. It's science. I cannot allow myself to get accustomed to think this is normal.10 points

Well goddamn, that's what so fucking frustrating about this. It's frustrating because we have the necessary info to help at least severely mitigate this pandemic, and yet we have a disturbingly large contingent of the population that's so mentally weak that they're unteachable. They're incapable of learning anything and it's precisely because they don't think they need to learn anything. This is not just me speaking ill of the dead. For one, I'm also speaking ill of the living. But also, did anyone else consider that Herman Cain's tomfoolery just might have led to him infecting someone else? Did anyone think of that? Did anyone else think about the people who've unwittingly been in proximity of Louie GomerPyle or Paul Waldron or Bill Montgomery or Rand Paul or any of those other stupid fucks? Does anyone give a shit about them? Well those guys certainly didn't. All they did was spend the last few months playing Make Believe and Pretend. They pretended that and made belief in the idea that all this was either a hoax or not nearly as bad as the libtards said that it was, some of them are fucking dead because of it, and others may soon (or have) die(d) in their wake. The GOP certainly does not care one iota about this either. How do we know this? Their support for this orange retard, who couldn't be bothered to give a shit about COVID 19 even if someone told him that Ivanka's blowjobs were a vaccine, has not wavered in the slightest. They would literally rather die on that hill than admit that MAYBE Joe Biden isn't the communist threat they imagine him to be and perhaps he's the better of the two options. They absolutely are complicit and they will never be able to argue otherwise. And just to cut the head of the proverbial snake that is the GOP playing the false equivalence card against me, as they so often do, I absolutely detest Biden. I see him as nothing but a dangerous compromiser, but Trump just tweeted this morning that the election needs to be postponed. This man is an outright fucking authoritarian and it's literally costing thousands of American lives (and potentially others because who the fuck knows how many foreigners we've infected along the way). This is what intelligent people mean when they use the term "shit show."10 points

The alternate reality recruiting momentum tangents on these threads are always some of the absolute worst conversations. I'm talking worse than cheese puns, football board visitors on Signing Day, spidery2banana evals, and even getting Stanco'd. And Satya always seems to be right in the middle of them. A word of warning, though, for those of you arguing with Satya. This man has a long and well-known history on this board and his level of prescience when it comes to where UT recruiting is pretty much unparalleled. I mean this is a guy who clearly sees the writing on the wall while the rest of us are going blind from staring straight into the sunshine. Why just in 2017, he definitively declared the UT brand dead and stated that premier recruits would no longer be coming to Texas. We had been passed up by every national power and even by in-state competitors, like A&M, Baylor, and TCU. It was over. And do you know what happened the very next year? We signed the #3 class in the country. So just keep that in mind when you go blow for blow with him on the state of UT recruiting.9 points

Well, in fairness, you can't really get the true Renaissance experience unless a possibly fatal disease is involved. Though you should be forced to sign a waiver that your treatment if you catch the Roni is you have to use Renaissance era medical techniques to try to cure yourself. Bleeding, I believe, was the preferred method back then.9 points

When he's not wetting himself, he's actually a good poster. He uses his 247 account for good and he generally knows his shit (you're not getting Football Board-level gibbering FIRE EVERYONE taeks), which gives the board someone not brain damaged to use as a backboard for arguments. Also in his vanishingly rare moments of optimism he brings quality Bollywood gifs to the board, which are a personal inspiration in terms of borderline insane levels of raw overacted emotion.8 points
