Luicci banning paying customers on TexAgs premium. Banning your paying customers doesn't seem like a real smart business model to me but I'm not an Aggie. It started with a few whiskey and Cokes before walking into Amon G. Carter stadium to watch our Horns dismantle the Hornfrogs. Being the only Burnt Orange spot in a sea of Purple (at least for a few rows) it was awesome. The guy next to me, "we don't do Horns down". Me, "look at the screen you stupid motherfucker, you are Sooner trash. You hate us more than you like yourselves. This is Fat Gar's Super Bowl, and we haven't thrown a pass this quarter (4th)". He was dejected, almost a flip phone moment, but I don't have a flip phone. We hit a restaurant, don't remember which one, but I gotta go get my phone from there this afternoon. Come home and "sleep" most of it off. Mrs. CHIEF and CHIEF Jr. wake me up to watch "sometimes a Pirate beats a Soldier". That pesky whiskey bottle was still out, well it was after I dug it outta my trunk (not that trunk, the car trunk). Apparently, I have shit to do today besides going back to Ft. Worth and getting my phone. What a glorious weekend. CHIEF23 points

I feel like a lot of comments about beating TCU this year lack context. Patterson knows that beating Texas buys him a ton of good will. Beating us the year we announce the sec move, even moreso. TCU has not been great so far this year, but Patterson game plans for us like a bowl game. Make no mistake, he is a great defensive coach when he puts that amount of focus on an opponent. Add to that the players who have been out this season but somehow were ready to come back just for Texas...yeah, they threw everything they had at this game and still came up short. We didn't even play particularly well, and still managed to beat them giving us everything they had. I think this win is more meaningful than "barely surviving a mediocre tcu team" but time will tell.23 points

For those disappointed that Texas didn’t beat TCU worse, Patterson spends an incredible amount of time game planning for Texas vs the rest of the teams on the schedule. He knows beating Texas secures his job, and he hates Texas.14 points

50 years from now, the legend will be the bird showed up during some other game and "willed" aggy to a win. Then the bird will be immortalized as a sticker on the back of their helmets, etc. They are aggy. They invent traditions on the fly, because that's their way.13 points

Just now seeing this thread. My dad is friends with one of the guys that was airlifted. 4 fractured vertebrae. Fuck that kid. I hope he goes to jail and his parents get sued to Bolivia. When I was a teenager my older brother was a competitive cyclist. I started to train as well and most of our training routes were not far from where this happened. A lot less traffic then, but we would have this kind of thing happen. Or have things thrown at us. We weren’t breaking any laws of the road. We wouldn’t take up the whole lane (always drafting when cars were approaching). Some of y’all are fucking dickheads.12 points

I love winning games on the road vs. a team that has owned us for a decade, and knowing there's a lot of improvement still needed. That is a good feeling. There will be zero complacency heading into the OU game. Worthy will rebound next week in a big way. Casey will play better. We have Bijan. Let's fucking go.12 points

In case you didn't know we just scored the most points we've scored on TCU since they joined the conference with 32 points, while not playing well at quarterback and receiver. We had over 400 yards of offense and only threw it 22 times. There were a lot of drops and opportunities left on the field, but we got the job done and it wasn't particularly hard, though we tried to make it a little interesting at the end. Overall it was a solid job against a coach who has made us look silly almost yearly. Lastly, ugly wins bode well for the future. Guys are NOT drinking the koolaid after this one. They walked off the field knowing they have things to work on. Best kind of win if you ask me.11 points

This is about the time each season where the preseason rankings are having waaaaaay too much influence. Most teams have played 5 games (over 40 percent of their games), and we have a reasonable amount of data. So... Aggies at #26? Are you serious? The team whose biggest wins are vs 2-3 New Mexico and a squeaker vs a garbage 1-4 Colorado? They haven't earned a single one of those votes (their own fans would agree). There are 19 teams in the "others receiving votes" - including the Leach team that just beat them in their building - and I'll bet almost all of them can point to better wins than Colorado and New Mexico. Texas at 23 is probably about right. Not a ton of teams above us who we can bitch about. The table is set for us to claim a top-10 ranking. Taking out their Texas losses, we've already beaten: Louisiana (4-0) Texas Tech (4-0) TCU (3-1) ... which is a decent body of work. I'm ignoring Rice. No one gets credit for beating a team full of chemical engineers and computer science majors. ... and our next two opponents are: OU (5-0) Oklahoma State (5-0) It's very unlikely we'll find ourselves at 6-1, but I refilled my flask and booked my hotel room in Dallas just in case. See you at the Cotton Bowl.11 points

Are you still drunk? BTW your bender was cheaper than mine. I started drinking during the game and didn't stop until 12 30am. I lost like 5 college bets and bought a $600 gravity fed wood/charcoal smoker from Lowes at midnight online.11 points
