humble beast is taking 2 weeks off for trolling/attempting to cr this thread. I've deleted lots of cr related posts from this thread over the last few days, if you want to talk Tucker Carlson/Republicans being idiots/Democrats being idiots/your hot takes on how Hungary and Putin mirror conservatives here take it to the CR. If you feel a need to add "no cr" to a post, post it in cr not here. This thread is one of the best ever on this board, lets keep it that way.43 points

Elon refusing Ukrainian requests to activate Starlink in Crimea in effort to block them launching an offensive to retake Crimea. https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-blocks-starlink-in-crimea-amid-nuclear-fears-report-2022-10?utm_source=reddit.com Musk talking to Putin and blocking Ukraine from retaking their own territory is a US, and global, national security threat. This makes it far more likely the recent outages during Ukrainian offensives are not accidental, or pure geofencing issues. It's time for bipartisan hearings.23 points

No because of CT fair trade law. He made money off selling lies. We don’t like that up in these parts.20 points

That’s a remarkable speech, and Americans should read it and reflect as well. The choices we make are important and when we needlessly pick fights and behave like an unstable partner, there are consequences to our security and prosperity. The best thing we can be is reliable.20 points

I’m shocked this is your take on the situation.19 points

No mother fucker who has fucked around has ever deserved to find out more than this guy. He is just a loathsome, grotesque human being that deserves every hardship that gets levied on him. Ruin him.19 points

Today Putin said that he’s ready to start sending gas supplies to Europe via Nord Stream 2, which was not completely damaged in the attack. And that “all Europe has to do is turn on the switch”, in other words, reverse course from the February decision to kill it. He also, of course, said the U.S. and Poland were behind the attacks: https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/putin-russia-increase-gas-supplies-europe-91375321 A reminder that this episode revealed the ongoing power of Russian propaganda and active measures. This is a good board but even here people beyond the usual suspects were surprisingly open to the argument that “the attack is clearly not in Russia’s interests” even as Putin is now using crayons to explain how it was exactly in his interest.18 points

Then take it by eminent domain. The US government doesn't need to have any entanglements with Elon Musk. None. Zero. He consistently supports autocracies and opposes American interests. Fuck him. Fuck all these fucking fucks who embrace autocracy and oppressive regimes. Especially fucking oligarchs who do so -- sure, YOU don't think oppressive regimes are all that bad, because you've got enough money to sit on the "oppressors" side of the room, where there are comfy couches and mini giraffes and shit. Fuck Elon Musk in the goat ass with a giant rusty pitchfork. As for me, I'll side with human beings who stand for the wild and crazy ideas of having the right of self determination on the soil on which they reside. That used to be an American ideal. Remember that? I sure as shit fucking do.17 points

Funny to look back on the Hicks recruitment in that he supposedly doesn't like our scheme, yet our DL is near the top in getting pressure on the QB. Meanwhile, OU and aggy are running 3-man fronts and can't stop anybody from running on them.13 points

Can you fucking idiots stop it with the former hot chick that turned fat pics? There is a board with a thread on there somewhere for shit like that. Motherfucker. None of it is adding value here.13 points

Elon Musk has always been a piece of shit. Angel investing in an established electric car start up and pushing out the founders, taking credit for the invention, then giving away the IP to keep the founders quiet out front should have told you.13 points

This is what Ewers is looking at when he starts his windup on the Sanders TD up the seam. He has already set his feet and the throwing motion has begun. The decision to throw this pass was made a little earlier when he set his feet a fraction of a second before this. Many QB's will wait until Sanders is at least even with the defender before uncorking, but that would allow the safety to help over the top. Sanders appears to be on the 22 yard line at this point in time.12 points

Elon Musk, German and Czech demonstrators, increased chatter on US media all spouting Russian talking points is evidence of a concerted push by Putin's regime to change the narrative. At a time when Ukraine is seriously challenging Russia to retake all their territory Putin's plan is Partial Mobilization Bomb cities Threaten nuclear strikes Ramp up the propaganda machine Nothing actually effective in winning the war except possibly the last one.12 points

I don’t think I have ever seen a football game where the quarterback didn’t throw a pass that was “interception worthy” or where the QB didn’t see an open receiver. My gosh some of you expect nothing but perfection. Of course Quinn will have a bad game. Every QB in the pros including the G.O.AT. has had many. But am I worried about all the “should have”, “would have”, or “could have” negative outcomes after looking at replays? Hell no. I’m more excited about our next game and watching him play.12 points

You raise a good point and I should have been more clear with my original post. Brent Venables is the guy wearing Bike shorts and flirting with the 13 year old girls he’s teaching in health class before afternoon football practice. Ryan Day is the guy with a blacked out van, a bag of candy, and an informal graveyard filled with 9 year olds in his backyard.12 points

I don't give a rat fuck what grade some internet dweeb assigns to Ewers' performance against OU. I know that was a bad OU team, likely the worst Sooner team since 1998. I also know that he led our team to a 49-0 win with a 21-31, 289, 4TD, 1 INT stat line (which includes effectively running out the clock for most of the 4th quarter) after playing less than 4 quarters of college football and coming into this season without any meaningful snaps at the position in almost two years, and sitting out the last 15 quarters with an injury. He's going to win a lot of games for us, and you and your grading system are going to be gargling his balls in the near future.12 points

A recently ex-President--and frontrunner for the GOP nomination--is about to be indicted for stealing documents at the highest levels of classification, and he hasn't even bothered trying to give a reasonable explanation as to why he took them. I know the last 6 years have been absolutely batshit fucking crazy...but how absurd is that statement...and how laughable is it that a large segment of our population wants to just gloss over it.12 points

Or somebody in the government to have a chat with SpaceX about future contracts, since they are the parent company of Starlink. If Musk has ordered them to fuck the Ukrainians over with Starlink units purchased and provided by the US government, then it shouldn’t be hard to fix. Musk can’t be booted out of control over SpaceX, but his contracts can go elsewhere.11 points
