  3. Until there is justice, you can take the "just be patient" talk and fuck yourself. Trump has evaded consequences his entire life. I'm not going to just trust the process all of the sudden.

  5. As a parent whose had to deal with their children cutting themselves, this brings back sad memories. With my pre-teen daughter, it was brought on by her struggles with anger management, stress, trying to discover her sexual identity, school pressures, peer pressures (girls can be fucking bitches), etc. And as you continue to observe the signs, have discussions with therapists and doctors, you sleep uneasily for the next 5 years or so until they are hopefully able to better handle the daily pressures of life. I don't wish this on anybody. My daughter is alot better, is further along her teenage years, and has better tools to articulate and keep her frustrations at bay. Now she uses her internal pressures to motivate herself to kick butt at school. But that monster never goes away...Current discussions center around convincing her that an 85 is not a failing score. And no college acceptance is worth stressing yourself out over (looking at you UT...) It's so much fun being a parent.... But goddamn, I could never imagine myself being such a calloused sociopath to have this going on in my home and not be empathetic towards my fellow man, and not have that steer my influence.

  12. Bout was arrested in 2008. He was scheduled for release in August, 2029. That's roughly 6.5 years from now. He was always headed back to Russia, assuming he didn't die in prison. His VALUE as trade bait drops every year in custody. If we were going to get something for him, we needed to do it soon. One could argue that Donald Trump should have brokered a deal earlier, say for Reed & Whelan, when we had the leverage. But hey, that's history. We're mad now because Biden did it, and we're all-politics-all-the-time asshats like @MNLonghornFUKM.

Jimbo is bad at time management: Jimbo is bad at staff management: Jimbo is bad at making changes, or makes the same mistakes over and over: Jimbo's offense is bad and not creative, except vs Alabama: Jimbo hates tempo offenses: at least one P5 coordinator is smart: Full text:

  18. I showed up to that Rose Bowl early in the morning with $1,000 in my pocket for one ticket, walked around the grounds for hours, asked every bus load of passengers that disembarked, and found not one ticket for sale at any price the entire day. Still have great memories of watching that game on your big TV. We might not have been inside the stadium, but we could hear and feel the roar of the crowd with every play. On 4th and 5, it felt like we had seats on the goal line and when VY scored, everyone was hugging each other in jubilation. Truly an unforgettable experience. Cheers.

  19. I'll brace for incoming negbombs. I liked Katy and Robert. I got to know them personally, and I liked them. I didn't necessarily agree with their moderation policies. In fact, I often disagreed with them, but, it was their site, not mine. I got more blinking envelopes than I can count. I helped host all but one of the hornfans CA tailgates along with Robert and Katy. I wasn't involved with the first Holiday Bowl, but I did all the rest of them, along with both Pasadena games. I was the asshole with the horse trailer full of beer (pulled by my tits Bronco that my cunt ex won in the divorce), and I was almost always cooking sausages or Carne Asada, on my grill that I hauled from home in the trailer. For those that didn't have a ticket to the USC game, that was my (really fucking big in those days) TV set up on the Brookside golf course for the watch party. There were at least a couple hundred folks gathered for that. I have vivid memories of meeting the Agnor's at Costco the day before the game, and loading 40 30-packs of beer and untold amounts of ice into my trailer, all paid for by hornfans. 1200 fucking beers for thirsty Texans. This site is certainly a vast improvement, but hornfans, in it's prime, was the best thing on the 'net (at the time).

  20. And got pantsed in full view of the rest of the world. He gave a murderous dictator a YUGE propaganda victory and got absolutely nothing in return except a letter that flattered his fragile ego as a means of manipulating him. (Something other dictators like Putin and MBS know how to do just as well.) Kim’s nuclear program rolls on unhindered; he’s more dangerous now than he was before Trump took office; all Trump did was legitimize him as an equal player on the international stage And here’s a Democratic president taking shit for, as is so often the case, doing something good but which wasn’t as fantabulously perfect as everyone would like it to be. (And, of course, for some there’s no such thing as even a good thing, let alone a perfect thing, when it comes to the achievements of a Democratic politician.) Biden got something. All Trump ever wanted from Russia was a Trump Tower Moscow and help getting elected.

  23. The sad irony here is that, were we to have arranged Bout for Griner & Whelan, @MNLonghornFUKM and the rest of the trumpy crew would be here bitching that we either (a) didn't get enough for Bout or (b) should have let Whelan (the disgraced traitor) rot in his Russian prison. There is no truth, there is only opportunity. Us vs. them, and "them" isn't the Russians or the Chinese or the North Koreans, it's the Americans who don't wear red hats and support fascist autocrats. What a disgusting group of worthless individuals.

  26. If you heat up a pushpin over a flame and poke it in the pubic area you can create a pretty realistic vagina on a Barbie doll. Butthole too. Can even get creative with glue and use some cat hair to make a bush if that’s what you like. Now I have never done this, nor do I continue to do this while cutting my palm and crying/masturbating.

  33. OK, back in the 90s... [what follows is fiction written in the first person] I was in the Nat'l Guard. Had been a 19D Cav Scout, moved to a new state and they needed dudes in the motor pool, so I joined the motor pool. Learned how to work on Humvees and also learned the details of motor pool clerk-work. As a side-hustle, Nat'l Guard style, I worked as Opposing Force, OPFOR, ie pretend to be the enemy for training exercises and get paid for it. So one day, as OPFOR, this fucking idiot lieutenant decided to throw a grenade simulator in my hole to "wake me up." My ass was already awake, and I took note of which Humvee this fucking idiot lieutenant was driving. So early in the morning, I strolled into motor pool, and did this thing I'd learned as a sometime Motor Pool Clerk, where a third person, usually a flunky, signs for the officer's vehicle, as in, flunky mode, to fetch it for him. I wrote in his name, and scrawled my own unintelligibly. Then I crawled up in his Humvee, let the glow plug warm up, cranked it up, and tooled west about a mile in a deserted part of the base where I turned down a side road, and parked that bitch. For about a week. I saw his fucking idiot ass walking around for about a week, puzzled look on his face. After that, me and a buddy went and got it, dropped it off near the motor pool. Thumped some keys on the desk and bopped off with no paperwork. [/fiction]

  34. As one of the longer-time left-leaning members of the board, I am annoyed by the constant chatter about showing decency to indecent people. The right-wing hate machine had no problem making fun of Clinton's girl when in office, and then there was this somber 'kids are off limits' tone when Bush took office. Eight years later, and there are right-wingers making fun of Obama's girls well into his second term. Ted Cruz, a shitbag that has never shied away from making attacks is now the one with a family member in crisis, and people are bending over backward to tell us not to make fun of his daughter or their family. How about you take that self-righteousness and shove it up your ass. I don't think I ever made fun of a politician's kid, and I always thought going after their family was sleazy in general, even their adult children until they injected themselves into the bullshit. Those of us on the left continue to hear about the decorum while the other side chants "you lie!" Yeah, there are extremists who might be gleeful about this but they don't represent me nor are they within my sphere of influence at this time. Still to this day, the right continues to go after President Biden's only living son, simply to try to cause him as much pain as possible while the son just tries to live his life and deal with his own issues. The next Democratic party candidate will have his or her kids made fun of especially if they occupy the White House by the next generation of right-wing assholes and there will be a few Glenn Beck types who regret it after the fact, but no one to stop them before causing the harm. So don't pretend to lecture us on what civility is.
