Whenever you feel like explaining why your own personal policy beliefs don't match up with those of the people you vote for, we'll be waiting with baited breath.

And please don't pull the "fiscal responsibility, limited federal government, lower taxation" argument on us.  The GOP, who own all three facets of the what can loosely be termed as an "acting governing body" of the United States has failed to implement any of these reforms.

And I expect actual rebuttals.  Not Rush Limbaugh/Sean Hannity/Stephen Miller goalpost movements.

Don’t feed the troll.

Oh, I'm good with that.  Team Trump is 100% resistant to facts or logic.  We're not trying to convince you  guys of ANYTHING you don't already believe -- it can't be done.  And we aren't "pushing you farther towards the other side" -- we're trying to push you farther and farther to the margins and, eventually, back down deep into the hole where you belong.

There is no persuading the  party of Trump.  There is no reasoning with the party of Trump.  There is  only fighting it,  and defeating it.  Those are the only goals.

Oh...I can see you're just as resistant to facts or logic.  Sorry you've crossed over that line and think you haven't.

You're actually worse than what you think you're fighting...

Actually, I only read a couple posts before mine and they were all of the same vein since I've started posting.  I had no idea that it was about some robocalls.

You missed my post earlier somehow, I'll assume, although it appears to be the only one you missed. You jumped into the middle of a discussion about a clearly racist robocall, claim that you didn't read much, then started whining about how all conservatives are being called racists WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING WHAT THEY WERE CALLING RACIST BY YOUR OWN ADMISSION.

That is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. And you have proceeded to argue for hours about how everyone claims everything is racist without knowing what people were calling racist.

And since I posted, my point has been MORE than validated.

No, it must definitely hasn't. The only thing proven is that you were flying blind, talking out of your ass, and made a fool of yourself. Here's a riddle for you: I support conservative policy positions on this board, have never been and will never be a Democrat, and yet I've never been called racist. How do you think such a miracle is possible?

Did you just "I know you are, but what am I?"  Awesome.  On the bright side, you might be the smartest aggy ever.

Don't get excited, the bar is REALLY low.

Glad I got your affirmation.

I remember when that actually might have meant something to me...

I don't give a fuck what means anything to you.

I just look forward to the day that you are separated from your children forever by a repressive regime.  That's cool!  MAGA!

I see you've never heard of the "filibuster".  So, higher level discussion would probably be difficult for you.

And I love the Limbaugh/Hannity/Who? comment.

I actually listen to NPR.  I started back when Clinton was POTUS.  I probably watch more CNN than any other news channel but that's only because it's on in lots of airports.  I NEVER put that shit (or any other news channel) on my TV

I just moved to Corpus, though, so I've noticed the NPR channel here is...lacking?

... so no rebuttals on how your own conservative beliefs tend to run in the opposite direction of the administration you voted for?  Cool.

Stephen Miller is not a "who", he is a "what", and he currently occupies a spot as the right side of the deteriorating bath tub sponge better known as Donald Trump's brain.

I could not give less than two shits of your opinions on NPR.  Those you vote for have repeatedly attempted to defund and outright destroy it.  Because "muh politics".  The same holds true for CNN.

Give me the logical, conservative reason for you support of Trumpian policy decisions..  We're still waiting.

I think we're done here. This is the part where you realize you fucked up really badly and try to throw out distracting stupidity like that.

I think even you are now starting to realize that it's far likelier that you were really stupid on a thread than that a half dozen good posters all went crazy at the same time.

Fuck you and your faggoty victim complex. You don’t know anyone who now supports Trump “because he was attacked too much.”

I am so fucking sick and tired of whiny trump supporters going “stop lumping me in with the racists, you’re why Trump was elected” but to you, anyone on your left is lumped into “hipster millennial libtard snowflake socialist SJW.”

I don’t think you’re racist because you’re a republican. I think you are because you’re also an Aggy and everything you post screams it.

Come on, JS... We just need the NYT to write more and more long form pieces that humanize white supremacists and then they will maybe stop saying Democrats are raping kids in pizza dungeons and start voting democrat.

I hope Tom Herman is your coach for the next 20 years!!!!!

At least suddenly shaggy negged me for this...

Yes, because it was a very poor effort mixed in with your other trolling.

First of all, Brian Fontana is a Tech fan, so the insult falls flat there. Second, even as an insult it sucks. If Tom Herman is the coach at Texas for 20 years, it's because he's done an amazing job and is likely in the Hall of Fame.

Think before posting and then go strong in the paint, or don't go at all.

No.  Several posters that actually used to be sane went all sorts of dumbshit.

I understand.  I an "aggy" and shitting on us is a fun thing to do for y'all.

But, I'm disappointed at what I've come back to here.

The shit talking I'm fine with.  But the mouth frothing bullshit is kind of sad.

Go tell the football board you want him here for 20 years...

I'll pray for you.

What did I say that wasn't based in fact?

1.  The NYT has published op-eds about how we just need to listen and understand the feelings of Nazis better.

2.  There is a large conspiracy theory regarding a human trafficking ring operating out of a DC restaurant.

Which one of those things is not correct?

Jesus, are you so dumb that you still don't get the implications of your statement about Herman potentially being the coach here for 20 years, even after I pointed it out? Keep your prayers, you need them all. You can have some thoughts and prayers from the rest of us too. It's not going to help you any.

Because children were separated before this "repressive regime" and you didn't care then...

They weren’t separated as a purposeful policy intended to terrorize people as a disincentive to entering the country.

You’d know that if you read anything beyond Breitbart talking points.

I say it again....I hope that you are separated from your children forever. You think it’s hyperbole.

It’s not. Suffering is the only language you people speak and hear. So I want you to hear it, loudly.

Ummm...I don't do Breitbart.  Apparently you do.

It's sad that you've become so hateful.

And I really feel bad for you.  I'm a deist, but I'll talk to the big guy and ask him to send you some love.

Don't think you know what Deism is.  Unless you don't want any love sent to Brisket, which makes you the prototypical Trumpkin.  Blowhard

An interlude like that was bound to happen in this thread.

Meh. DeSantis will have to up the dosage for the next shot of racism. Err, excuse me, the totally not affiliated with the campaign robocall. Maybe a nice meme where Gillum is a slightly darker shade, nose is a little wider, and change the perspective so he's shorter. Oh and put him in a completely fabricated event. It worked great with Obama, run it back again. Keep going to the well of poison. Drink deep.

So how much do we knock off of that if we include active voter suppression tactics?  5%?  10%?

Relevant:  All polls say Registered Voter.  Rasmussen is the only one that says Likely Voter and is at D+5.

That's true, but Rasmussen's methodology tends to oversample older people but using robo calls to landlines and then conservatively estimate younger voters, by using a targeted online survey as a proxy for cell phones, then they make guesses about who will show up based on a variety of factors like everybody else. I'm not saying that's bad, but Rasmussen should be taken for what it is.

Methodology

Quote

Data for Rasmussen Reports survey research is collected using an automated polling methodology.

Generally speaking, the automated survey process is identical to that of traditional, operator-assisted research firms such as Gallup, Harris, and Roper. However, automated polling systems use a single, digitally-recorded, voice to conduct the interview while traditional firms rely on phone banks, boiler rooms, and operator-assisted technology.

For tracking surveys such as the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll, the automated technology ensures that every respondent hears exactly the same question, from the exact same voice, asked with the exact same inflection every single time.

All Rasmussen Reports' survey questions are digitally recorded and fed to a calling program that determines question order, branching options, and other factors. Calls are placed to randomly-selected phone numbers through a process that ensures appropriate geographic representation. Typically, calls are placed from 5 pm to 9 pm local time during the week. Saturday calls are made from 11 am to 6 pm local time and Sunday calls from 1 pm to 9 pm local time.

To reach those who have abandoned traditional landline telephones, Rasmussen Reports uses an online survey tool to interview randomly selected participants from  a demographically diverse panel.

After the surveys are completed, the raw data is processed through a weighting program to ensure that the sample reflects the overall population in terms of age, race, gender, political party, and other factors. The processing step is required because different segments of the population answer the phone in different ways. For example, women answer the phone more than men, older people are home more and answer more than younger people, and rural residents typically answer the phone more frequently than urban residents.

For surveys of all adults, the population targets are determined by census bureau data.

For political surveys, census bureau data provides a starting point and a series of screening questions are used to determine likely voters. The questions involve voting history, interest in the current campaign, and likely voting intentions.

Rasmussen Reports determines its partisan weighting targets through a dynamic weighting system that takes into account the state’s voting history, national trends, and recent polling in a particular state or geographic area.
