He's already said he's going to support whomever is the Democratic nominee. He can spend ten times Trump's net worth on campaign ads against him and still come away worth tens of billions more than Trump.

IMHO his money would be useful in Senate races around the country. Help the folks squaring off against McConnell and Graham.

It'll be interesting to see how much he ends up donating to Dems moving forward this cycle. I know he's a data driven business man, but when you have $60B+ that you can't take with you to your grave and the current leader is making fun of you all the time on twitter it might just make you donate some serious cash.

I heard on CNN last night that Bloomberg's core campaign staff is paid for through November.  He can shift them over to Biden now and it will be a big help.

He'll cut a deal on his way out.  In exchange for me quelling my most adamant supporters from shooting up a Biden Inauguration rally in every major U.S. city...you don't prosecute me in any jurisdiction, ever.  Nor my children.  And believe me, there'll be plenty of credible threats for months afterwards.

Can’t wait for the criminal investigations after inauguration when trump is a private citizen and has no senate to hide behind.

Im on the record here saying Bernie was bigger threat. Last night was win for Trump.

You know, I've said this before, but I'm going to say it again.

We're all having a good conversation about who the nominee is likely to be, or who it should be, or how the election might go, and that's as it should be in an election year.

But the problem is that all of our theorizing and speculating rests on the false premise that there's going to be a fair election in November.

But there isn't.  Trump will first try to con his way to the White House.  And if that doesn't work, he'll just steal the election.  And he'll have a lot of help.

I can't shake the feeling that this entire primary process is only determining which candidate will get the Al Gore fuckjob this time around.

Lulz....he's going to just steal it, huh? Can you be more specific on how he's going to do that?

And you would be wrong. Biden isn't the socialist. Trump's only play is Burisma and dumb shit that shows how truly corrupt Trump himself is because the exact things he's accusing Biden of are exactly what his children and son-in-law are benefitting from. Biden can point to how his and Obama's administration wasn't a flaming pile of shit like the current one. This is wishful thinking on your part.

Good.  Now spend that cash on crushing Trump in swing states.  And while you're at it, finance some Voting Rights litigation against GOP officials in several states, including Texas.  $1 million can pay for a pretty damned good litigation and expert witness team -- pocket change for Mike.

Trump supporters....trying to make a campaign issue about speaking problems and creepiness?  Fuck, that's like Aggies making fun of someone for wearing a uniform and grabbing his nuts.

Seriously, Trump supporters....criticizing someone based on mental capacity and how they deal with women?

Huh.  Maybe by having his criminal syndicate (formerly the political party known as the GOP) shut down polling places in areas with Dem-voting demographics.  You know, like happened just last night.  For starters.

And if you think he's not welcoming foreign hacking of election equipment, I have a bridge to sell you.  The Party of Trump has ZERO interest in a functioning democracy, where people get to vote and their vote counts.  That's what you stand for.

White working class. That's an important distinction. And it might be offset if the non-white working class shows up in greater numbers than 2016.

This is why I think we are headed in the right direction. Joe is going to get more black votes than Hillary, and those are in key states. Obama needs to step in and encourage it.

https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/11/how-can-democrats-get-the-black-turnout-they-need-in-2020.html

Quote

Conversely, a return to higher black turnout could be a key element in toppling Trump next year. In a major study from the Center for American Progress, Ruy Teixeira and John Halpin project that natural demographic trends in the last four years plus a return to 2012 levels of African-American voting would flip four states — Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin — and give Democrats a 294-244 majority in the Electoral College. And even if black voting turnout doesn’t quite hit those levels, in many states even marginal changes in turnout and Democratic vote-share could make the difference in a close race.

Will black turnout rebound to 2012 automatically after nearly three years of the most openly racist president since Woodrow Wilson? That’s unclear. In the 2018 midterms African-American turnout rose 10.8 percent as compared to the last midterm in 2014, as compared to an 11.7 boost in white turnout. And there’s also some evidence (though it’s at best mixed) that Trump is marginally more popular with black voters now than he was in 2016, though he remains overwhelmingly unpopular.

The most obvious factor to which to attribute the 2012-2016 falloff in African-American turnout is the absence at the top of the ticket of the first African-American president. 2016 black turnout, in fact, returned to its pre-Obama, 2004 levels. What’s hard to calculate is whether the 2008-2012 turnout boom was a unique event attributable to Obama’s pioneering status (much like the sky-high margins John F. Kennedy won among Catholics in 1960 or Jimmy Carter’s big wins in the Deep South in 1976), or could be replicated by another African-American at the top of the ticket in 2020 or beyond.

- Kicking voters off of rolls.
- Finding minute excuses to deny new registrations.
- Closing registration offices nationwide in Democrat-heavy areas.
- Closing polling stations nationwide in Democrat-heavy areas.

This isn't some kind of potential, this is literally what is happening and has been happening already.

Neither one of them as of now are a threat to Trump (Biden may change depending on his VP pick.)  Right now Google is a bigger threat to defeating Trump in an election than either of them.

That began well before this administration and cannot be tied to Trump. It's also a bullshit argument since you can mail in your vote if you want to. You dems just like to blame the refs when you lose.

the whole scam is "make things mathematically certain to occur without bright lines."  it is the same as the census issue:  it is mathematically certain that response rates will fall with questions regarding citizenship among a particular demographic.  so let's ask about citizenship.  the NC voter suppression case was the same.  a certain population tended to favor later voting hours.  so eliminate later voting hours.  A certain population favored particular forms of ID.  so disallow those forms of ID.  I believe the judge used the phrase "razor precision" when describing how they came up with the dividing lines that happened to exactly correlate with racial behavior.  there is nothing in there that makes it impossible to vote.  it is just mathematically certain to cause it over a large enough population.  the thin veneer of plausible deniability is embarrassing to fall for if you are a college grad.

White working class people who are not necessarily politically active and who had been fed 30 years of sexism against Hillary Clinton. That's not to say Hillary didn't also fuck herself in a lot of ways, but there were lots of white suburban working class democrats who would not vote for Hillary. They'll vote for Biden. I'm feeling tiny bits of hope that we may be able to rid ourselves of the menace. I still worry immensely about the stupidity of the average person which maga has revealed.

I wonder how long until Trump is locked up?

Depends on if/when NY or the Manhattan DA obtain Trump Org financials, in my opinion. Briefs submitted to SCOTUS already. I think that’s the most advanced investigation and there’s almost certainly tax and insurance fraud regarding conflicting self reports about that the value of his business/properties.

Wait, I'm a Trump voter?  Interesting.

You're a fucking gutless coward who knows that your party and your ideas can't win a fair fight.  Open the polling places in minority neighborhoods that REPUBLICAN officials shut down.  Your party can't handle it if minorities are given the same opportunities to vote (the same number of polling places, with the same number of machines) as white voters get.

What are you so afraid of?

How about we spread it out even further?House, State Lege, feed the locals. I'm going to be sending more dollars to The House and other down ticket than to the top. They're going to get some from me too,but if you can't get shit done at a local level, if you have no bench and nobody in the pipeline, that's not a sustainable plan.

By all means spend that dinero. Bloombito, Steyer, Yang, and the King of Evil Democratic donors, head of the cabal, Soros. Just don't forget the feed the roots. Keep an eye out for the future.

overall, it was set up very poorly - i’ll get into it tomorrow.

so here was my experience voting in person last night.

for at least the last couple cycles, i've voted by mail, so i haven't had to worry about polling places.  after all the chatter and seeing the lines around the country, i was curious and a little nervous to go in person, but the wife wanted me to wait for her.  we went down around 7:15pm (the place closed at 8pm).  it was the auditorium in a neighborhood school in weho.

the line was fucking long.  probably a few hundred people.  which didn't much bother me.  the part that bothered me was how slow it was moving.  any organized line that long should/would be moving faster assuming there were more than 2-3 voting booths inside (which there were).  in any case, we expected it to take 45 min to an hour.

about 8:45, the volunteers were going around letting everyone know about the "poll pass" you could fill out on your phone, so that you could get a qr code generated, which would speed things up once you got inside.  our part of the line was pleased about this (there were also about 100 people behind us, and they never really "cut" the line).  we all did our poll pass, which takes about 5 minutes if you have a general sense of who you're voting for (i think there were 19 total including 3 yes/no props and 3-4 unopposed races).

finally, around 9:20pm, we get to the front of the line, which doesn't take you to a booth, but instead to a small table with 3 volunteers.  1 of which was either on a break, or just decided to hang out and yap, so there were essentially 2 functioning "check-in" stations, which seemed a little counter-intuitive, considering there were 20 voting booths.

i walk up to a volunteer with my id in my hand.  she didn't ask for it, just my name.  last, then first, then rotated her ipad and said "is this you?"  it was my full name, address, and voting preference.  i said yes, then she printed out my ballot, told me how the booths worked, when to show my poll pass qr code, then what to do with the ballot.

i get to the booth, tried to scan my qr code, and the machine said "the poll pass you're scanning doesn't match your voter registration".  ok.  i did it manually and went through the 19 questions again.  there were a couple of volunteers helping answer questions, and dealing with 5-6 booths that were having issues (paper jams mostly).

i saw several people walking around with their paper ballots not sure where to put them.  and at no point did anyone verify my identity.  this was a democratic primary in what could only be called a democratic stranglehold of a neighborhood.  but when the shit gets real in november, if other polling places are run this way, this would be a fucking disaster.  i can't imagine what it would be like in michigan, pennsylvania, ohio, wisconsin, etc.

and i didn't even mention the 15-20 people we personally saw bail on the line in 2 hours.  this was no-doubt caused by the confusion and procedure inside, which obviously was causing the super-long wait time.  i know there were long lines in other places.  were they all kinda like this, or was this some random exception?  i would say we need more volunteers (we do) but this table was only set up to have 3 check-ins, so it's not like they would've been quicker with 2-3x the staff.

ahh, democracy.

As for Bernie and the bros, while the primary process was rigged for Hillary in 2016, if Bernie loses this year it will have been fair and square. Despite what our resident trolls will try to push as the narrative.

We should do away with voter registration and ID checking and make people dip their left thumb in indelible ink in exchange for a ballot. If your thumb is clean, you get a paper ballot that you fill out and put into a big box guarded by one armed Democrat and one armed Republican staring at each other DMZ style.

Each polling location turns on a recorded livestream when the box is opened for scanning.

In order to make sure no shenanigans are happening, each box is opened and sorted by hot ladies in bikinis.

I am ... 30% joking.
