How can you even bitch about that schedule

I can't, it has real potential for a wheels-off season.

1st loss ND, 2nd loss Auburn, 3rd loss UF if Lagway is starting, 4th loss either LSU or USCe, 5th loss Texas. So 7-5 or 8-4 per the norm.

I don't have any great knowledge of what's going on with other teams, but it appears USCe is for real. I think it's nearer a sure loss unless South Carolina is decimated by the portal and graduation. Of course, they won't face the grind of facing the Bowling Green Seniors this year.

Some of those SEC away games might be at night.

I def think they lose @ ND, @ LSU, @ Texas, SoCar and they will drop one of the Auburn/@arky/@Mizzou games.

Why would I trust them to win a road game, barring facing a team who is decimated with injuries? (@UF/@MSST this year)

aggy is on a 3 game winning streak versus arky, but they haven't played @ Arky since 2013

aggy has not won in Baton Rouge since 1994 - 6 game losing streak in BR (4 if you take away the 2013/2015 vacated wins by LSU)

I'm not confident they'll lose to LSU. Yes, yes, it's in BR. Yes, yes, it's A&M. But LSU is getting bent over and plunger fucked by Bryan Kelly's personality, similarly to what we're seeing in OU, right? Or is that still just RUMORED to happen? Because it feels like a lot are hitting the portal. What're they going to replace it with? I think that one is too early to tell.

SCAR, I'd like to see who they replace Rocket Sanders with...I'm not too familiar with the age of the rest of their roster, either. Mizzou is trash. Arky who knows, and Auburb should continue to improve under scumbag Freeze, sure.

If this year showed us anything, it's that assuming aTm is magnetically, almost divinely attuned to 8-4.

Think the floor for LSU is higher than OU simply bc the in-state talent in LA >>> OK

You're talking about a dumpster fire versus a tire fire though.

And aggy lost to the clown car fire that was Auburn on the road.

I mean, I literally said in my post Auburn will be improved. The implication is I also think they'll beat A&M next year. We're talking about A&M versus LSU as a gimme loss.

Regarding LSU, Nussmeier is coming back for another season. He's not perfect, but he's a good QB and definitely better than anything A&M has on the roster. QB being what it is, to me that still gives LSU an edge.

It’s more;

they haven’t won in BR in 20 years

They Are generally terrible on the road, especially at night

even if LSU is bad in 2025, they lost to a worse Auburn team on the road

Aggy is going to be worse and far more jaggy than 2024

They were better than TAMU this year and figured out how to lose to them. Inexplicable inability to adjust to Reed.

ATM’s 247 mods are touting their returning roster and projected portal adds. They’re similar to many other site mods in which they view the portal as some sort of isolated location where only they get to plumb its treasures. They’re so disadvantaged that it’s not even funny. What do these idiots really have to sell? College Station? The Elk? NIL like everyone else? The SEC like 15 others? It’s not clear.

On the rosters, they return:

-A mid QB

-A recovering TB; another recovering TB; a mid TB

-Noah Thomas, Terry Bussey and Jaggers

-TE: Swedish Jag

-OL: Zuhn? The KU center who was okay and Bisontits

-DT: Hicks, Regis, someone else?

-DE: nope

-LB: Jaguarean York and Scooby DooJag

-CB: Lee, Chappell, a number of guys named Bob

-S: Bryce Anderson and Dalton Brooks

That’s returning a bunch of guys, sure. I don’t know if that’s a group that gets you to 6-6 against that schedule.

Bryce Anderson will be selling insurance and doing guest spots on Texags radio in 12 months. What a sad turn of events for him.

That is not true. 52-80 and Linux are certain that he'll have six-figure, executive VP jobs waiting for them thanks to the Aggie Network. He's made the winning move playing for a massive alumni base of car and insurance salesmen, and they're going to take care of their boy.

Lololol at Jaguarean York.

He’s slow, undersized, and often out of position. But like Sloneal, he’s all in on Aggie. So he has that going for him.  Which is nice.

Sloneal, York, and similarly situated student athletes eventually have a rude awakening when they discover that the vaunted Aggie network is not set up to facilitate careers for people with their level of melanin.

Amazing the way CDC keeps Sark under wraps, because Sark has no idea of the intangibles needed to build a program.

I've listened to our award winners and some other Longhorns the last few days. I don't hear them speak much because player interviews usually bore me. You can hear the higher GPA when these guys express themselves.

I recall a reporter noting the difference in Longhorn player performance in press interviews versus USC's players back in 2005. I've always liked, since the DKR days when I first recall Texas football, how our players present as smiling and mature in their team photos. Not all of the players have been models of the way young men should be, but a lot of guys from here are good sorts.

I'm avoiding the "well-spoken" trap as best I can. I did have an unconscious prejudice in expectation of what Black athletes might sound like long ago. I've been internally embarrassed to have had to root it out as I heard and was around more Black people. Avery Johnson of the Spurs looked like a thug to me. What an idiot I can be.

Anyway, I like being proud of our guys beyond on-field performance. For every Erxleben there are many guys like Earl or Ricky or Taaffe or Huff or Colt. It adds to the pleasure of being a Longhorn when we're winning.

Lastly, I don't claim that we're the only team that has such players. I'm glad that we're one of them is all.

If anything, I feel like I'm simply accurately representing them. Blaggie Sul Ross crowd out front shoulda toldya.

The biggest problem with A&M in the portal is that they absolutely love HS 5* star... busts. I mean say what you want about Jimbo but at least he chased the unknown because he was too lazy to scout and let the services do that for him. But to go out and recruit players with 0 productivity. (Regardless of stars) 1 catch for 3 yards all year. takes a special kind of idoit.

I need to see the video this 1 catch before passing judgement

The first sign he would be a bust is that he signed with Texas A&M. You knew then that he was an immature gold chaser.

- Yell leaders

- Reveille

- The Corps

- Only Texas school in the SEC

- Small town feel with 70,000 students on campus

- Consistent 8-4 performance

- Maroon carrots

- Jizz jars

I'm not sure about shitting themselves and it's impossible to make these predictions until portal season is over but I would bet money they finish worse than 8-4 next season.

@ ND will be against a top 15ish caliber team on the road.

Florida will be decent next year as long as Lagway doesn't bounce.

@ LSU against a top 25ish team and they always struggle in Baton Rouge.

@ Missouri against a top 25ish team on the road.

South Carolina could be a top 10 ten next year. They're going to be really good and made a good OC hire.

@ Texas who will be ranked in the top 10 on the road.

I'm seeing 4 road games against potentially top 25 teams. Their schedule is much more difficult next year.

How’s Samford looking next year?

Over the last dozen years, the Aggies have won exactly 8 games 50% of the time. Over that span, they have deviated more than one win from that total exactly once: 5 in 2022.

Now toss out the low level fcs\g5 games that are automatic wins...

aggy FINALLY has to play a road game against piggy, but they have Kelly’s number. Yeah, 8&4 is their destiny.

Maybe they'll finally play Georgia sometime in the next 25 years.

I guess Florida isn’t one of the many better jobs than miss, since word out of Gainesville is that he politely declined.

Imagine an Aggie saying "just book mark for when they lose multiple games including games they should've won and miss the cfp" about another school.

Or the one above that about bookmarking it for when the player that they wanted and thought they had, fails.

or the guy saying to use football as an excuse to hurt the player.

Well, Elko will likely be much more careful tweeting out commitment news before the pen hits the paper, as it was confirmed by 247Sports Ole Miss insider David Johnson, who spoke with Braxton after his surprise commitment to the Rebels:

“I made it to Texas A&M,” Braxton stated. “I actually committed to A&M, bit then I was just sitting there and it just didn’t feel right. I was second-guessing myself. I called Coach Pete and told him, ‘I want to come to Ole Miss.’ I know what it was like when I was there. I knew that was the place for me to be.”

And we're the insufferably arrogant ones. No ranked team sees A&M as above them. I'm sure Bowling Green (senior laden, ya know) was pretty impressed with the Aggies. Other schools? Not so much.
