Green Bay should have let the receiver score on that long pass. On the run around the right side, they tried to let the Viking RB score, but he laid down at the ten with under a minute. GB had two time outs but that ain't enough with the 40 second clock. MN kicks chip shot FG with 2 sec left. This will be basic strategy going forward. You'll have teams letting runners go, and runners taking a knee inside the ten. This kind of bullshit NEVER happened with the 30 second clock. In those days, the team losing always got one last ditch effort to score and it made the NFL one hell of a lot more exciting.

Some day they'll change the rules - say in the last 5 minutes going to a 30 second clock.

Thielen is a vet so id expect he’d know not to give the ball back to Rodgers, but he also went out of bounds. but in any case, it’s the best strategy out there. Especially against Rodgers.

You’re probably right about the play clock change sometime in the future…but it’s really a 60 min game. they have 59 other minutes to try winning and controlling the game.

Could be majority Steelers fans at Chargers tonight. I still like the Chargers.

The OL has been getting better but, it is not good. Having an ancient Roethlisberger back should help. We shall see. Even with some improvement the defense is not clutch anymore. I hope to see a busy offseason and more roster turnover.
