Through week 7,  games involving Texas had brought in over 33 million total viewers in games to date.  Games involving Texas A&M had brought in just over 12 million.  And that includes their prime time game against Notre Dame.

It's not some mystery or conspiracy as to why the Ags got bumped for the Longhorns.

For years, the guys on TexAgs said that the SEC had no need for Texas because they had already delivered them the state of Texas' eyeballs.

When the SEC invited us to join, the same Aggies were saying we shouldn't get the same share as everyone else because we brought no real money value.

Their despair over being bumped by a shitty, barely-ranked Texas team shows that they still haven't learned. Hell, they think their wins over Florida and MSU rocked the nation.

It's why it can be fun to read that site in short bursts.

Well, I for one very much appreciate their contribution to my current happiness.

If they wanted to get it to stop, they'd make Elko walk up a flight of stairs with no assistance....

I am philosophically against the death penalty, so can't condone.

That’s akin to saying it can be fun to dip your dick in goat blood and wiggle it around in a tank of piranhas.

Fine teams 500k , head coach banned from all team activities and communication days leading into next game. Suspend Player 3 games.

Time out there bud.

You can’t legislate morality / integrity.

I would say if a team violates the rule and doesn't have any timeouts left it should be a 15 yard penalty not 5 yards, same as an unsportsmanlike penalty.

With the exception of like 2 years with Manziel aggy and Kentucky have traded last place in the SEC ratings.  This is why it is bullshit they get a full share of the TV revenue as that has trended even worse since we joined and take school agnostic texas-based eyeballs.  This is getting to be a bigger and bigger issue and probably leads to changes when the next TV deal is being negotiated.  At least KY brings other sport viewers, aggy sucks at all sports and has zero national appeal (or even awareness).

They draw eyeballs even in the worst of years.  Aggy is faithful if nothing else.  They could be 0-10 and still drawing 2,000,000 viewers.

You add aggy because you want the eyeballs of the state of Texas.  You add Texas because you want the eyeballs of the most valuable brand in college football.  There's a difference...

That's not gonna work because these plays are submitted to the conference for review after the game is over.

The penalties need to be more severe. $50k isn't shit.

You're arguing with their perception not mine, but you are correct.

You think the University of Texas will shrug off $50k? Did you go there? Hell, I went when it was cheap and they tried to squeeze every dollar out of us that they could.

There was a building use fee for self-paced courses that never met in a classroom. For one semester back when pre-registration was still kind of new and nobody had computers, they made pre-registration regular registration and turned what had been regular registration the days before a session into late registration. They charged a penalty. All students who didn't yet have the money to pay for pre-registration paid a little extra.

Oh, here's the capper. When I started, Texas was redoing the Union, so it was closed for two years. In those two years, they still charged us a Union Fee and had the gall to charge an extra "Special Union Fee" to pay for the renovations.

UT will never get a dime from me. I have contributed to the student food bank because I remember some hungry weeks.

Not that it bothers me or anything.

If a player goes down after the ball is spotted that is a loss of timeout penalty by rule. If you're out of timeouts then it is a 5 yard penalty. Go back and watch the video. They called a penalty and charged aggy a timeout. It doesn't have to go to the conference, it's a rule.

Elko must sit out two meals the following week. Dinners.

Being an aggy, he would just cheat and sneak a dinner.

Your statement is a bit of a straw man.  They do draw 2mm viewers occasionally (and always on the back of a blue blood program) but average much much lower.  Their worst rated games (plural) are down in the 20k area.  aggy has no national appeal and ratings for our games, even within the state only, are orders of magnitude higher.  They bring nothing to the SEC and are feeding off big brother's TV money yet again, just like the Big 12/SWC days.

If aggy gets the boot from the SEC, which I think would make economic sense, they would be middle of the pack, at best, in the American of CUSA in terms of what they bring in terms of viewership, program budget, and visibility.  aggy would be a solid add for those conferences but not automatic if we are being honest.

If they can't make a run this year then when will they? The next 4 years includes Texas 4X, LSU 4X Bama 2x, OU 2X, Georgia 2x, Ole Miss 2X, Tennessee 2X. Elko is a smart man and looking at Penn States future schedule they don't play Oregon until 2027 or Ohio State until 2028.

I ventured over to see what they had to say about it.  Such victims.

AD should tell the SEC we will pay the fine as soon as tu gets around to identifying and expelling those who threw garbage on the field during Georgia last year or following up with jerking their liquor privileges.

In the meantime get bent.
