this is some boss-level sour grapes retard shit.

Maybe you shouldn't chime in on Deuce Robinson comments, podna (unless you admit that you guaranteed he was coming to Texas, and then when he didn't, that he would transfer to Texas).

Wait.  KnoxTnHorn lives in Texas. South Austin lives in North Austin. What the hell, people?

I moved to TN on a whim after I left The 40.  I think my username goes all the way back to the Austin 360 site.

That's dumb. Why keep a username from that old site?

Also, that site only allowed 8 characters No spaces. So I know that's not true. Don't ask me how I know.

It's crazy to think some of us were on the internet bitching about John Mackovic, and debating Shea Morenz vs. James Brown. That was 30 years ago now.

That was a horrible time to be alive.

Sark loves the kids with pro athlete dads. The combination of Angeleno comfort with celebrity, running a tight program with demostrable results, and Austin being an excellent platform for NIL and beyond really plays well.

So.

How’s recruiting going?

We will get a commit in the next 3 days to get the ball rolling before the big weekend. My guess is Krempin.

Official visit week is here: 13 expected visitors

The Texas Longhorns staff will host a first of three weekends of official visitors June 6-8. As of Sunday evening, there are 13 official visitors expected on campus this weekend. By the end of the day June 22, that number is expected to be in the 50's for the month.

To begin the week, we take a look at this weekend's OV's:

Running back (1) ...

Ezavier Crowell, RB, Jackson (Ala.) High
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++
OV's: Georgia May 30-June 1, Texas June 6-8, Auburn June 13-15, FSU June 15-16, Alabama June 20-22

Where is stands: Alabama is considered the favorite over Texas with a June 26 decision date on the books.

Wide receiver (1) ...

Kohen Brown, WR, Waxahachie (Texas) High
OnTexasFootball ranking: 3-star++
OV's: Utah May 30-June 1, Texas June 6-8, Notre Dame June 13-15, Ole Miss June 20-22

Where is stands: The late May Texas offer to the one-time USC verbal added a wildcard recruitment to the weekend. Brown will visit Notre Dame the same weekend as Texas target Kaydon Finley.

Offensive line (1) ...

Malakai Lee, OT/IOL, Honolulu (Hi.) Kamehameha
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++
OV's: Georgia April , Alabama May 30-June 1, Texas June 6-8, Michigan June 20-22

Where is stands: Michigan feels confidence, but they still have to beat out three SEC powers. Texas loves Lee, to be clear. He's considered as talented as any OL the Longhorns are recruiting.

Defensive line (2) ...

Lamar Brown, DL, Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab
OnTexasFootball ranking: 5-star
OV's: Miami May 30-June 1, Texas June 6-8, Texas A&M June 13-15 and LSU June 20-22

Where is stands: Beating LSU for a prospect at University Lab (high school on the campus of LSU) has always been a very difficult task. Texas has Baton rouge native LaAllen Clark putting up the fight. Texas A&M and Miami are doing the same. Brown will announce his decision July 4.

Dylan Berymon, DL, Monroe (La.) Ouachita Parish
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star+
OV's: Texas Tech April 12-14, Purdue May 9-11, Houston June 4-5 and Texas June 6-8

Where is stands: Texas led for much of the season. This one will come down to how hard does Kenny Baker and staff push this weekend. Right now, OTF doesn't believe Texas is making the push as they are on others at the interior position.

EDGE (1) ...

Jamarion Carlton, EDGE, Temple (Texas) High
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star+
OV's: Texas Tech April 25-26, LSU May 30-June 1, Texas June 6-8, Texas A&M June 13-15, Baylor June 20-22

Where is stands: This recruitment will come down to how much the SEC schools actually prioritize the CenTex upside EDGE. Texas can win this, if they want to. Carlton is scheduled to announce his decision July 10.

Linebacker (1) ...

Beau Jandreau, LB, Chandler (Az.) Hamilton
OnTexasFootball ranking: 3-star++
OV's: Oregon State May 2-3, Texas June 6-8, Oregon June 13-15 and Oklahoma June 20-22

Where it stands: Jandreau's brother, safety Niko Jandreau, is a Sooners pledge.

Defensive backs (3) ...

Davon Benjamin, DB, Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++
OV's: Michigan May 30-June 1, Texas June 6-8, Oregon TBD, USC TBD, Ohio State TBD

Where it stands: Texas is absolutely all in on this recruitment. So is USC and Oregon. Ohio State and Michigan are also serious players. Benjamin blew the staff away with his football IQ on a multi-day visit in April.

Traeviss Stevenson, CB/DB, Quitman (Ga.) Brooks County - *Georgia Tech commit
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star+
OV's: Texas June 6-8

Where it stands: Georgia Tech DC Blake Gideon and staff are in a fight to keep the very talented South Georgia prospect in the boat. This is a wildcard recruitment with Texas offering last month. The Longhorns have Davon Benjamin, Samari Matthews and Justice Fitzpatrick at the top of the board at the defensive back position. Georgia is considered the top competition for the yellow Jackets headed into June.

Hayward Howard Jr., CB, New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr #AllGasNoBrakes
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
OV's: Texas June 6-8, and possibly LSU June 20-22.

Where it stands: The Texas staff will have to fight off LSU for a while in this one.

Specialists (3) ...

Jake Collett, K, Ringgold (Ga.) Heritage
OnTexasFootball ranking: 3-star
Offers: Texas and Army

Where it stands: Texas is considered the favorite.

Mikey Bakauskas, P, Prosper (Texas) High
OnTexasFootball ranking: 3-star
Offers: Texas, SMU North Texas and UConn

Where it stands: Texas is considered the favorite headed into this weekend.

Trott O'Neal, LS, Plano (Texas) Prestonwood #AllGasNoBrakes
OnTexasFootball ranking: 3-star
OV date: June 6-8

Yeah, but I’m kind of glad. He’s not bread (and he is better than our tackle commit) but we are on guys who are better. If we feel we can get one or two or three of our tackle commits to move inside, we are golden. Ojo is outside but Rosenborough, Turntine, and Utu can all play either position. So that leaves room for another guy like Lee on the outside. Obviously, it is tricky for the coaches, but if it can be pulled off, we can have one of the best offensive line classes we’ve had.
